Aaron Lewis back in his prime, Steve Perry, just 2 I think of off the dome but theres a shitload of female vocalists as well. Theres also a lot of people that sound different but I prefer the live vocals. Layne Staley, Chris Cornell, etc.
So glad I grew up with this was on the radio. I remember being on a 1st date with a girl when this song came on the radio while we were driving around. We both belted it out with the windows down. Great song! Good memories.
I love Darius Rucker, his voice is awesome and very distinctive. Love his music both with Hootie and Country. And may I say a very handsome black man. 😊❤
In the original it just says 'but Stipe's not far behind' - the first version I ever had came with liner notes (on a compilation album) and it said 'his type's not far behind' but every time he sings it live he says Michael Stipe. I assume it is just a reference to the girl in the song liking REM
Who the hell is this lead singer? I mean, I know him, I grew up with him, but hearing him sing live is like I'm experiencing him for the first time in my life. I now feel like such a moron for not seeing them live while I was in college because "I couldn't afford a ticket." I should have begged, borrowed, or stole to go.
I HATE WHEN THEY CHANGE THE TEMPO OF A REALLY GREAT SONG.. It was a HIT the way it was....! Songs are hits because they were done perfectly at the recording...
