You have no idea how much peace and joy your videos bring me. Last year i lost my mom to breast cancer, 3 months later my grandma passed away and 1 month after that the grief took its toll on my dad and i lost him too. So i lost all 3 of them in about 5 months. I am so lost. They all loved cooking and gardening so you can imagine how comforting your videos are to me. Oh yeah and my dads name was Ron 😀 ❤ Thank you for giving me some joy back in my life.

Rachel you don't know me but I feel like a good friend just took me round her BEAUTIFUL garden,. So kind of you. I am in New Zealand and for a while I was trying to figure out what country you are in. But then I found it - the United States - the flag was a dead give away! Ohio too. I am in New Zealand and your flowers are different from ours of course but what we have in common is a GARDEN. I forgot to mention the other day when you were making the peach cobbler, I was taken back as I looked at your hands and they look exactly like my mama's hands. Y'all would have been great friends as both of you love cooking and gardening. Before she took ill, she could spend all day out in her garden and I just loved when I would catch talking to her plants and getting after them when they weren't blooming. What a lovely beautiful garden and home you have Rachel. You’ve just given us another side of your life and love. I’m so very happy for you Colin Ron use your first love cooking is your second love and then gardening is her third love I think in that order but you might say otherwise because obviously the gardening did not flourish to the level it is without you spending a lot of time. I am a gardener myself, and not everything is easy and gardening… Just like you showed us with the petunias out front but we’re not driving because of the weather. Petunias are an easy plant to grow and yet because of all the rain you did not have a widespread petunias at your entrance like you desired. And that is the quirkiness of gardening…. So picturesque is your home and garden and I’m so happy that you and Ron are able to go out back and sit at your table and have a glass of wine together and the flag is flowing in the breeze and the birds are singing and all is well with you.… My husband passed away four years ago and how I miss him…. I am jealous of your hydrangeas because here in Iowa, it is very hard to grow them. They live in a new area that was backfilled with a lot of rock and clay and I do the landscaping here and we have decided we are going to plant everything in large pots starting next year and put in very special treated soil as well as the PF balance nutrients that hydrangeas want in an attempt to finally have large hydrangeas blooming as you do. We’ve spoken with a number of nursery specialist to reassure us this will work. Thank you for taking time out of your cooking to show us your lovely garden… You have done an excellent job and planning your plants as well as what should be at the back rows❣️❣️❣️❣️You have an excellent eye for color association as well so that you have a harmony between your different plants. I am not only an artist and interior designer but I do landscape architecture and I really love the naturalness of your landscaping….JUST BEAUTIFUL ♥️♥️🌈🦋🦋

Rachael you have an absolutely gorgeous yard. I enjoy gardening also. One of my favorite are the hydrangeas. Can only grow certain types. We're in zone 9. Unless you live at the beach, more difficult. We don't get much rain(God's fertilizer), so cactus plants are better. Wish I could grow hostas and some of the he Eastern zone plants. She would grind her spices in the molcajete too! My Dad liked his spices fresh too!! I am one of 7 so she cooked everyday and made fresh tortillas daily. I got really sick I had to learn how to talk again and I had to learn my home town because I didn’t remember where I lived. But with the Grace of God he helped me thru it. So it wiped a lot of my memory away so I really think I’ve met you in life but can’t remember where. I always say if I could find that mosquito I would make sure I kill it lol Rachel thank you again for all you do to show us all tips on cooking.
