Scadutree fragments are not training wheels or “easy mode” or whatever people have been saying, its the intended way for you to play. They scaled the dlc differently to stop people from just power leveling before it came out and crushing it immediately. If anyone feels like you are doing no damage and you’re getting two shot it’s because your blessing levels are too low.

That mob fight against the dragon took me AGES. The cross fire was nuts. I had to wait it out for most of the soldiers to die while I popped in for hit and run tactics.

I like the idea that solo was open to sharing that he had no shame to use a summons to fight the bosses. To me this is him saying. Don’t stress on your first play of it, have fun, enjoy the game, you don’t have to prove anything to anyone. This is how I did my first play thought of both Elden ring and then the dlc and now since I have seen movesets I then started doing solo stuff. Also get those fragments they are absolutely helpful

Chief you gotta go on a quest. You have the boss' movesets on lock most of the time but your damage output ain't it and it ain't because of your weapons its because of your DLC level. At this point, you're basically chipping at a tree with a knife. You got a whole ass new open world, so just go ham exploring and get that dlc level up. You finished the game as HIM. But with this dlc you gotta find yourself again and become HIM again. There are 21 dlc levels in the game but you don't necessarily need all 21. I fought the final boss at 14 got my ass HANDED to me and came back at 18 and only just managed it. You got this dude you just need a training arc.

Scadutree fragments truly change the difficulty of every fight you’ll have a much easier time with the dlc if you hunt the ones available

And they just nerfed the scaling system because people weren't following instructions. You cannot speed run the DLC because it doesn't work like that. No fragments, get smashed into oblivion.

If you want to use crossbows, then you need to try the repeating crossbow from the DLC, it’s a literal machine gun! It’s a bit south of the monk found on a corpse by the road.

First of all, you Killed Rellana and the Lion, you seem to forgot that you can exchange their souls for equipment back at the round table. Second, your build sucks, you need to do proper investigation about how weapon scaling works. I you want to main a weapon make sure to know what is the best infusion (heavy, keen, etc) for it and respec accordinly. Third: your talismans suck, theres waaay better ones like alexander shard that boost your getsuga tenshou, the dragoncrest greatshield talisman that reduces physical damage 20% and many others. Also yeah, dragons take more damage and posture damage to the head. Posture damage resets if you dont attack consecutively just as bleed. Charged heavy attacks and guard counters are the attacks that do the most posture damage btw. You CANT bleed undead creatures (like the dragon this video) so dont even try, they're weak to holy damage so reseach about buffs for your weapons when fighting them. I love watching your videos fr but its not fun seeing you suffering so much and not even knowing why. Theres so much more basic stuff I wish I could teach you but you probably wont even read this comment... Anyway bless you my dude I love you ❤

Bleed em!!!! Says to a boss that probably doesn't even have a single drop of blood in it lol. Like the death birds, they're undead enemies. Idk if this dragon shares the holy weakness with all the rest but it surely doesn't bleed. Lightning is pretty effective though, and if you can't hit them in the head at all times, just go for the ankles, and as soon as they lower their head after air slam or when they spit fire, roll in and jumping heavy on their head.

this is literally the training arc of our favorite anime protagonist 9:04 you seem the type for the jar cannon, of which for convenience I would recommend the explosive greatbolts, you can find it on a cave in mount gelmir behind the falling star beat area past the bridge you walk on. It's generally the best one for damage, if you're going crossbow only you have the best one aside from the repeating crossbow, which is dlc, past rellanna, and then to the right of the boss arena till you get to the dragon that's fighting the Messmer people past the morth ruins, it will generally bleed in one shot of it, but so far I like what your doing witht he build! 12:43 I like the build you got going on, one minor critique from a light load person such as myself would be that it's quite heavy, and the extra dodge frames are extremely helpful for this dlc, though for the final boss of it I just tanked as much as possible as well, but still. If your wonderous physick could be changed I'd recommend the windy physick tear and the opaline physick tear along with some good crab if it's available, if you have the golden vow ash of war as well it will make you way more tanky, this combined will up your dodge roll invincibility frames and increase your tankiness to pretty good levels, doubt you'll see this but if you do, good luck Elden lord! you are him and once you shake off the rust you will ascend back into godhood!

Afro, you really need to collect more fragments. They increase the damage you deal AND decrease the damage you take. Also consider changing up the talismans you use depending on the weapon you prefer. It is clear you like the dragon hunter great katana and rely on it for bosses, so you should change your talismans for better performance with it. My recommendation is the two handed sword talisman, the shard of alexander, the green turtle talisman (or the two headed green turtle talisman) , Godfrey icon or the axe talisman. You can change them back when you use your other weapons, but if you plan on sticking with this great katana, these is what you will need.

Tip: For the corpse dragon you fought. They are HELLA weak to holy damage. The sword you use to farm runes in Mohgs palace and the Golden Order Greatsword both do TONS of damge to undead enemies. For the other dragons I have only 2 words. BLACKFLAME INCANTATIONS, all dragons are weak to blackflame damage, like really weak. I know faith aint your build, but you can give it a go. The blackflame seal and blackflame magic book can be found in Godrick's Stormveil Castle in Limgrave.

Fighting against bale you have an option to summon a npc couse its for a quest where youll get a great transformation into a dragon.

My dude, here is a tip for fighting any undead enemy including the ghostflame dragons, get the golden epitaph, use it’s ash of war last rites, it is a buff that literally melts undead and it is a general buff too so you can use any weapon you want after using it. As for dragon enemies, practice makes perfect.

Afro if ur fighting a ghostflame dragon use holy attacks and actually figure out what ur enemy is weak to and it will be much easier, also get good bro it ain't that hard 😂

Solo - I use everything in my power to defeat the enemy Afro - 1st:- Doesn't use horse to run when dragon breaths Fire. 2nd - Jump between all the enemies. 3rd - Doesn't go for headshot's. (on dragon with katana). 4th - Doesn't use summon to back him up with all the Mob's around. (also, there is 1 more grace near the dragon). 5th - Doesn't realize that Dragon is dead so Holy might be better option as well. 6th - Can go to higher ground just to fuck with dragon from long distance. 7th - also bro be panic rolling all the time and asks "when am i doing panic rolls?" realizes that he is INDEED doing panic rolls and try to fix it, but as soon as he died, bro just get factory reset his brain". & he is not even using all the tools. Just calm down bruh we love you either way. but you do be getting mad bosses for no reason when you are not even trying your best.

My advice? READ the items you pick up, especially the ones you actually use, your katana tells you in its description that it has an anti-dragon effect. Second piece of advice, dont use your melee weapons like ranged weapons, your katana for example does a strike WITH a beam, if you just hit with the beam youll only do half damage, you want to get close and hit with the blade too, as well as a combination of heavy attacks, charged heavy attacks, jump attacks, and certain weapon skills, and WHERE you hit an enemy (like a large monsters head, or an enemies back) will also determine the amount of stagger damage you deal. If you just peck at an enemy with light attacks from tiny weapons, youll never get a stagger, no matter how hard you try, its all about raw DPS rather than staggers at that point. You have a secondary action bar that you can set items too in your menu on the top right of the screen, you can access it at any time by holding your interact button and pressing the appropriate input to use that item like anything else on your bar, i recommend putting torrent, physick, FP juice, and a resin of some kind. You are fighting a GHOSTFLAME dragon, they deal magical fire damage that stacks frostbite, so using magic on them, and frost bite, aint gonna work, its also a undead enemy, so try to think about what undead enemies in media hate, use that noggin. While frostbite IS a good way to reduce an enemies damage reduction, you know what else does that better? actually getting those seduca fragments LMSH told you to get, every level the seduca blessing goes up, you get a 4-5% increase to YOUR damage against enemies, and you RECEIVE 4-5% LESS damage from foes, you get that blessing to level 8-10 and things will be doing half damage to you, and youll be raking in the damage, the devs WANT you to explore their giant map theyve created and not just merc bosses with cheap shit, like they knew people would be doing pre-release :D

😅 I'm so glad that someone far better than me and other Elden Ring vets expressed my same concerns, I was starting to feel like a hater. Playing Elden Ring "full ego" mode only serves to guarantee that you'll be punished for it. Only a few people can really claim HIMOTHY status, and if one of the greatest is telling you to use everything at your disposal - you should probably listen.

Honestly the best advice I could give is afro just needs to get better at reading attacks. He relies so much on reaction timing instead of looking at little cues the game gives that tells you what attack is coming. Then you can learn when to attack and when to stay back and keep dodging. Elden ring is my first souls game and this dlc was rough at the beginning but it actually helped me realize I need to read attacks and get my timing down to punish instead of trying to react, tank and get hits off. Many people were telling me that bayle was really hard, but just reading his attacks it only took me like 25 or less tries to beat him and I'm only level 10 in the shadow realm and overall level 170. If afro can get that aspect down he would succeed like a mf

Now you have a crossbow, that might help. Your build looking a lot better than it did before I think. The old armor might've been better tho not sure.

Not only tht you should just wait and let the ghost dragon clear the enemies out first and on top of that you really need to stick with your main weapon option if it is wht’s working. Bruh, just collect as many Scadutree Fragments. I think there's a total of 20 and it looks like you really need them. A few more Fragments and those dragon attacks will only take a 4th or 5th of your health.

You need to find your rhythm with these dodge rolls. The panic rolls just drain all your stamina for when they matter most. Don't be greedy when it comes to damaging them and find that window with patience.
