100% TPAB for me. Even though Kendrick isn't my favorite artist, And any of my favorite songs aren't on that album, I've listened to this album thousands of times and it personally doesn't get old. This album is so genius in every way and I personally believe it did influence the "very old samples" type of rap.

To Pimp a Butterfly is definitely an album in this decade and I think you might agree 👍

The powers that B is my #1. Such a unique and varied sound from track to track. Extremely successful experimentation, and fantastic lyricism (in death grips' typical disconnected/incoherent style). Just a perfect album. One of my favorites of all time for sure

LET'S NOT ARGUE: Because there's no argument. TPAB is the best album of this decade, but if we're being honest - it wouldn't have been written so well if Kendrick wasn't inspired by Playboy Carti. Die Lit is the best album of this decade.

I honestly have to say Tyranny by the Voidz really got me this decade. I’ve been hooked since 2014 and it’s an album that seriously changed me in ways that were positive and introspective.

Rodeo is the album I have most consistently listened to and loved every time. I also think it influenced a lot of popular psychadelic-trap music today.

Although far from the best album of the decade, I think IGOR hit me the hardest. The way it perfectly captured every aspect of a relationship that’s failing made it relatable and felt like I was listening to a story as I was listening to the album.

Helplessness Blues is handily my second favorite record of the 2010s, only behind To Pimp a Butterfly. It's one of the most beautiful records I've ever heard, while being incredibly infectious for me. Every vocal melody, every single chord progression, every layer of instrumentation, every lyric speaks to me and resonates with me. A truly incredible album.

A Moon Shaped Pool should be a part of the holy trinity, the more I hear it the more it seems to top the other albums

ok, I know that i,i wasn't in this, but in my opinion, this was one of my favorite albums of the entire decade. no weak songs and even some bangers compared to 22AM. it's amazing

I love me some underground metal. My favorite album thus far is Vektor's Terminal Redux. I don't think it's perfect, but as a whole, taking in all of the story and how the music fits the story iteself, really makes it a masterpiece in my eyes. Also a bit biased, because I'm a sucker for that space sound/themes.

I just can't decide myself. So many amazing records. Some 10/10s that immediately come to mind though: The Idler Wheel..., You're Nothing, Wide Awake, Helplessness Blues, Brutalism, Splendor & Misery, Orc, Atrocity Exhibition, Loud City Song, We got it from here..., A Crow Looked At Me, Common As Light..., The Seer

2016. I was 19 and my girlfriend had just cheated on me. I’ll never forget being super depressed for the first time in my life and resorting to weed just to help me think about anything else. I got super drunk with the boys, that same night my girlfriend left me, hit the cross fade, and listened to Atrocity Exhibition at midnight on release. I’ll never forget being absolutely gob smacked by that album. I was glued to my friends back seat of his Elantra for almost an hour, just listening to the album and getting chills down my spine. It came to an end and I opened the door to my friends car and threw up Doritos locos tacos all over my new sneakers. Atrocity Exhibition is a genre bending album, that pushed boundaries. I’ll never forget where I was, what I was wearing, and who I was with when I first heard that album. That’s how you know an album is timeless. Atrocity Exhibition is easily my album of the decade. Thank you Danny Brown. You owe me new Saucony sneakers.

i think tpab has been extremely influential for listeners, opening a lot of people up to more out there and more organic/jazzy hip hop and that has been important for the hip hop scene thus reflecting back on the musicality of rappers even if its not a sound thats directly reminiscent of kenny

edgy opinion: best album of the decade was Floral Shoppe by Macintosh Plus (2011) It inspired (or at least spearheaded) a weird internet genre of music with its own art and sound style. It may not be an album that I would listen to over and over, but it caught my attention on /mu/ and sent me down the rabbit hole of vaporwave on the net where a weird musical world unfolded.
