LET'S ARGUE: Leviathan is Better Than Blades of Chaos 

hot take: gow ascencion is overhated and deserves more love. sure its the worst game in the series but it doesn't necessarily make it a BAD game. like if other gow games are masterpiece ascencion is pretty good. at least that's how i see it

Hot Take: Rage of the Titans is the best rage mode. You can use all secondary weapons, if you want that, and the L1 move with a high combo number is amazing. Pair it with Cronos’s Rage and you’re sure to finish an encounter with no issues.

Hot take: In God of War Ragnarok they should allow Kratos to use his weapons in rage mode, in 2018 it was good but it feels like you're underpowered because you use your fists only with the addition of stumps and throwing rocks. How cool would it be if in the sequel we are able to use the Blades of Chaos, the Leviathan Axe and Thor's Hammer while you are in rage. Just the endless possibilities with this extra touch is insane.

Hot take: The sisters of Fate are the most evil characters in god of war because they control the fate of all. That means every death, war, and disaster was caused by them.

hot take: in GodOfWar Ragnarok, they should add a feature that allows us to grab Atreus and throw him in the air so that he can shoot enemies from the skies, maybe even give Atreus arrows that do area damage. like with Magni and Modi, when Magni throws Modi up in the air and Modi comes crashing down on us with his lightning attacks.

My only major complaint is how unbalanced the revenants are. They are too tanky for a fast zoner. And yes, the axe is clearly more powerful. But I really enjoy the blades in the 2nd stance and the running R2 strike.

Hot take 1: Nemesis whip is the strongest weapon in god of war 3 Hot take 2: I prefer the rage modes in gow 1 and 2 than the rage in gow3

Finally someone giving the Ghost of Sparta sprint attack some love! It's so useful for controlling a combat situation which is a shame when so few people appreciate it. I've actually used it speed run the game and my God did it help.

Hot take: the titans in gow 3 were so weak i really thought that the fight was going to be bigger than the great war (love the channel)

Agreed about the one about Typhon. He's like the Kaiju-Godzilla of greek mythology that gave Zeus a hard time, even besting him in the Gods vs Titans war in the greek myth story. So it's like a wasted opportunity to do something with his character.

Mildy Hot Take: Blade of Olympus shouldn't have been locked to spartan rage in GoW 3. It should have replaced the Nemesis Whip.

Hot take : I prefer what the first gow game has done more than the second one, The first game talks to the player in the shape and design of Kratos better than the second one. His face makes you feel how exhausted he is and his willingness to kill and how you can see death in his eyes. I also liked the way the story was told and its cutscenes and The levels designe was great. All these traps and monsters give a great challenge to the player. I also see that the Gameplay is smooth and faster than gow 2 when combowing enemys.

hot take: we have discussed this in the past at some point but the barbarian hammer should've had some kind rolling move , well not realy a roling move but more like a side step move like GoW4 had ,if there was something like that in GoW2 i'd use way more often

In the older games mostly gow 2 and 1 when you slam the blades it makes like a explosion of Fire why did this not make an appearance in 3 or 4 it looks awesome! It makes an explosion of fire and awesomeness what more could you want

Hot take: chests that upgrade your health/stamina/magic were very tedious and hard to find in gow3, and it was very painful for trophy hunting as well

For me i use the axe for strong attacks like the cleaver and stun The blades for me are best combined with the talisman of the realms combined with the blades of fury attack or somethin You deal a good chunk out of people’s health by doing that Or just use the dual weild lol

Possibly while making remakes of original games they are gonna make a trilogy possibly so the 7 games including betrayal will be made in to 3 games with many side contents too and side boses as well, the side contents and the side boses story will mostly cover the other Greek heroes lore and the stuff out of Greek mythology Just like what they did with norse games The older games with tons of side content and additional bosses in main quest and the obviously an already a good story will make these remakes a must buy and a master of masterpieces I can see this series being alive upto 2050 with all the remakes and remasters on the way

Hot Take: gow 3 is by far the best in the series ( at least imo), it picked up literally seconds after gow 2's ending, the literal first boss fight is freaking Poseidon himself, and the satisfaction with killing all the gods, if i had one complaint, its that they sucked at trying to redeem Kratos to turn good, but i think that could've solved if he killed all the gods like in gow 3 but then went to Norse Mythology and get his heart changed from Faye and ofc BOY. Overall a great game and my favorite from the franchise (also love your content)

Hot Take: The problem with the Blades of Chaos is that they generally don't behave like blades on the end of chains. They're more like swords with extending blades. If you swing at an enemy, the chains don't have any meaningful interaction. Imagine if you could swing at an enemy, but overshoot and allow the chain to wrap around their neck. A second input could retract the blade either spinning the enemy around or popping their head clean off. Imagine being able to strangle enemies with the chains.

Hot take: i think the of blades of exile from gow3 is stronger then the axe

Hot take(?): the weapon selection in god of war 2 is infinitely beter than 3 My main problem with gow3 has always been that only 2 weapons feel truly unique that being the blades and nemean cestus and then you have 2 more bladed chain weapons which is just very boring to me In god of war 2 u have the blades of course but also a spear, a giant Hammer and u get the 2nd coolest weapon in the series the blade of olympus in ng+ Which imo is just a way cooler selection and better variety than 3s weapons. This is my Hot Take: I think that sigrun is the best God of War Boss of the whole series, mechanically speaking at least, she takes all the special moves of all the valkyries and uses them randomly testing all the skills that you would have developed until that point to counter them: - Timing: The stepping and flying attack that she does multiple times. - Dodging: When she flies around trying to grab you, some combo finishers attacks, the fire meteor attack, the big ring throwing, the scythe waves and the surprise one when she rams towards you with a red circle on it. - Parrying: That one attack where she lifts up the ground and charges at you, the scythe twirl double attack and the 3 hit combo. - Shield: The ice firing attack, the smoky knife projectiles, the little rings throwing, the wing spin attacks and the short wing hit combo. - Movement and quick turn: The one when she moves her wings and blinds you. - Aiming with the axe: That one when she starts spinning and finishes with a ground strike. - Runic attacks or shield breaking: When she shields herself with her wings. All the while you have to take the chance after each counter to attack her with your runic attacks and expect not to die, it's one of the hardest, yeah, but is the only one where the victory rests only in playing smart instead of aggressive and tanky, she doesn't have any goons, unfair boss phases, wide hitboxes or any checkpoints.

You trippin.... the axe is amazing but the blades are amazing, not to mention the nostalgia factor and even how the game introduced the blades into the game it was peak. Anyways imma just mention that i saw tyre in the new trailer holding the blades which is gonna be cool to see. Runes being tied to rage wouldn't of been awful but it only would of worked well if spartan rage was about dealing damage, which it really isn't it's about getting back health most of the time

I think if you look at the blades lorewise, Kratos just picked them back up after years of leaving it gathering dust under the house so he probably forgot most of his move and now he needs time to relearn it🤔

Hot and spicy take : i think that at some point in GOW they should pull a "Devil may cry" gimmick and introduce other playable characters as well. i love Kratos, but imagine we could also play as a grown up Atreus with a completely different Playstyle. i love hack and slash but DMC was always more appealing to me in that department because its not always about Dante. we have Nero, Vergil, Lady, Trish, Lucia, V, and every single one of them with completely different playstyle

Hot take: The lack of alternate styles for items and armour pieces in Gow 4 sucks. I’ll try to explain. For example, I love the look of the level 5 Blades of Chaos, but I also love the look of the level 1/2 blades as well. Problem is, you can’t change the style to what you want. Same goes for armour. I love the look of some of the pieces, but I feel like it would’ve been better if there was an option to change the look without sacrificing it’s stats. Imo, there should’ve been an option to use hacksilver to change the visual style of whatever item you want but retain its original stats. You could take the level 5 Blades of Chaos w/ Grips of The Valkyrie and use hacksilver to change its look to the level 1 blades w/ default wooden grips, but keep the stats of the level 5 blades and Valkyrie grips. Another example is equipping the armour of ares but use hacksilver to change its style to Kratos’ default outfit at the start without losing out on the ares armour’s stats. Gow 4 is my favourite game in the series (for the time being at least because idk if Ragnarok will take that title) and I’m not saying the lack of a feature like this completely ruins the game, but it’s definitely something that irks me as to why it’s not a feature. I know this is probably more of a nitpick than a hot take, but I wanted to share my opinion on it. Also my friend recommended your channel to me today and I’m loving your content. Keep it up!

Hot Take : Baldur is one of my all time favorite characters in GoW franchise. Because he reminds me of the Greek Version of Kratos. He's so energetic, angry and super aggressive. I think that he's going to LEAD Odin's army in GoW : Ragnarök along with the Valkyries. It's just going to be something that a true gamer will never forget for his / hers entire lifetime. " Long away from home aren't you. But you're definitely the One " Gives me chills. That's all that I've gotta say.
