The fact that so many books still name Peppa Pig as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" musician ever only tells you how far music has come as a serious art.
I know it's just a bad joke, but you don't really know what the album was or what it is to be vegan. I mean, are all albums non-vegan, because animals make them? You want an album produced, recorded, and written by plants and fungi? That ain't gonna happen.
You see, these lyrics are far deeper than one might first realize. With the lyrics such as, “bing bong bing, bong bing boo”, Peppa is clearly trying to give a far deeper message. From the title of a main track, titled “Bing Bing Zoo”, one might notice the lyrics are similar to that of President Donald Trump, with his debut song “bing bong”. Peppa is clearly trying to send a certain and specific political message. She may have been inferring that politics, at least US politics, are in fact, bad, calling them a zoo. But let’s take this a step further, let us analyze another layer of this musical masterpiece. We shall then look no further than the album cover. On this cover, Peppa is holding a microphone, immediately, this ties back to the theme of politics, as many politicians give speeches, so it is indeed common for them to be holding a microphone. But that is just at first glance. As we continue to glance at this artistic yet somewhat cryptic masterpiece, we can determine that Peppa, is indeed, a pig. Pig has been known as an insult, call someone a pig, and they will get very mad at you. This is a statement inferring that politicians are “pigs”. This is what I am saying about Peppa’s work, they are multi-layered masterpieces, with many layers on politics, and things much deeper. Peppa, in fact, could be the embodiment of God itself, coming down to Earth and giving us the best form of art ever witnessed my us mere mortals.
The tiny desk-concert thing left me dumbfounded. I feel as if the philosophy king of music has taken me out of the cave of ignorance and confusion, and thrown me into the pure light of truth. Thank you for all that you do.
My first album was pretty bad Peppa backstabbed many of us by switching from her typical rock style to mainstream pop songs. It even excluded songs such as pink balloon despite it being a classic song amongst fans and critics alike. It does however include a few bangers on it such as “super potato theme” and “it’s peppa pig” The only single from this album is “bing bong zoo” it shocked me being quite unique for a modern pop song exploring deep topics such as drug addiction however these deep themes do not forgive the awful hook and even worse first and second verses
Yeah man. I don't get his argument either tbh. Built To Spill have some amazing songs (Car, The Plan, Out Of Sight..) and their guitar parts are very creative and kinda flashy/technical for indie-rock standards.
I can't believe he blew my mind. I very much enjoy keeping my brain intact inside my skull and not having it be blown to bits by some melon on the internet. Unsubscribed and disliked
Let’s Argue: People trash on A7X because they’re probably the most mainstream modern metal band today that isn’t named Metallica. City of Evil and The Stage are great albums
9:00 Moths were on the scene BEFORE butterflies. Moths set the stage for butterflies, and they just went all mainstream. If moths are goth butterflies than goth is the core essence, and butterflies are just the emo scene kids of moths.
I fucking love this guy. It's like I'm finally listening to someone talk about something with sense. We have different tastes but only because you have a wider range of music taste.
Anthony, it's nice that you helped my grandmother with her tomato garden while she was in the hospital but can you please stop DMing me to tell everyone how great of a guy you are..
Dear Tony, I would love to agree with you, but I must inform you that you are incorrect. The desk in NPR's "Tiny Desk Concert" is, in fact, tiny. You have fallen victim to media manipulation, as the size of the desk is but an illusion. The desk itself is only, in reality, about a foot long, but clever lighting and camera angles have deceived your eyes. Please, stay woke.
I've never heard of cakes da killa until this video but that cal chuchesta cosplay made me laugh and I want to check him out now edit: JESSUS CHRIST. Only two songs into his only album and it's already fire. Wow.
Hey Tony, thanks for helping me enroll for my classes next semester and guiding me through the financial aid process which was too complicated for me to tackle alone.
i...... agree! it can be a delight to look into an artist's inspiration and find out that you also like that sound. it's because of tyler, the creator that i checked out pharrell's "in my mind"
I'm honestly surprised Melon doesn't like Built to Spill. They're like classic indie, from the same scene as Modest Mouse (who he also loves)... interesting
Yeah I get being underwhelmed by their more recent albums (though I personally enjoy them) but how the fuck can anyone hate on Perfect From Now On or You In Reverse with a straight face
Not saying I prefer one or the other but listening to the radio is a nice experience having someone present you with songs you love or songs you’ve never heard, even with the commercials. Idk, I mainly just use Spotify but it’s also nice sometimes to tune in.
LETS ARGUE: songs like be my lover and rhythm is a dancer mark the very beginning of the trap genre, as they are literally techno songs with rap verses
you blew my mind at the tiny desk thing. I always thought "yeah that's a pretty big desk to work at, but I guess for a music performance that's a pretty tiny space to work in"
hey man id love to see that decline of rock video you hinted at. Not an avid listener myself but it still baffles me how in less than 10 years it kinda dissapeared from the mainstream
To be fair Melon radio can still bump into your life. A friend of mine worked at a garage where they play radio and the one reprieve he had was when it cycled onto rock and metal stations in fact a lot of retail spaces where late teens to twenties are working are listening to either the company station, Familiar Favourites or local radio.
In regards to the "people that don't have headphones in while out" thing My store is so dead silent its like a LED lit graveyard. So when anyone comes by playing music I feel alive even if its music I would regularly feel nothing for. Arigatou for providing a background soundtrack to the daily grind.
My favorite tweet explaining the tiny desk concert was that there was actually a microscopic desk on the bigger desk and that the artists are playing around that tiny desk
It’s getting to where the streaming services are filled with ads unless you pay. It seems like every two or three songs on SoundCloud end with an ad. Although not as bad as radio, it seems, to me at least, it will be essentially the same thing in the near future.
avenged sevenfold makes great music. City of Evil and Nightmare have some of the best instrumentals in metal. A Little Piece of Heaven is also the most unique alternative metal song ive ever heard
To your point at 8:00 Have you seen the video compilation of people reacting to Kevin Abstract's verse in STAR? That was only two years ago and those who weren't homophobic in that compilation were just really awkward about it.
Man I just started getting into a7x again, I knew about them way back in 2004 when unholy confessions was somewhat a big hit. And then when city of evil got them into mainstream, but for some reason I stopped listening to them and grew out of their music, but here I am 15 years later, I’m revisiting all their work and enjoying the fuck out of it. Kinda kicking myself for not sticking around after city of evil
