I started watching you guys when I got interested in the DC Deckbuilding game and found your channel via a youtube search. I've enjoyed all of your videos--Lorcana, Villainous, DC Deckbuilding, Here to Slay--and found myself just watching your videos because you two are just entertaining and fun to watch. Like you said: you should make videos about hobbies that make you happy. That being said, the Lorcana gameplay videos have been pretty cool. I watch a lot of people play via Pixelborn but not a ton of channels do in person (Instinct TCG and Ohana Lorcana come to mind for in-person ones) so it's cool to see those videos. You two make videos on what makes you happy and I'm sure everyone will enjoying watching it. =)
I found you guys mostly from watching your Lorcana videos, and I always enjoyed their quality! If I had to make one suggestion, I would love to see more Alpha Clash gameplay as well! Post Script: I know I just said "one suggestion," but I would love to see you guys check out the newly backed Kickstarter tcg - Altered! Altered looks really fun to play, I love the concept of racing your opponent to discover more areas than them, and you guys would really have a lot of fun playing it!
I found the channel due to DCDBG, however I'm not all that into Lorcana (it's fun and all) but I see the need to focus on that new and live product. I'll keep subscribed and I'll come back whenever you guys get the variety engine going. Thanks for everything!
My son and I found your channel because we were trying to understand villainous. He loves the game but my husband and I don't understand it. Watching you guys play is definitely helpful.
I found your channel through your Villainous videos, I think during summer 2022? I have been missing them but after watching this video I understand why you guys haven't made any Villainous content lately. I think it's completely understandable why you'd like to move away from it. Wishing both of you the best of luck with your Disney Lorcana videos and the most fun and happiness from it! I find it admirable how communicative this video is, along with that healthy boundary-setting. Congrats on kid #3 and I hope both of you are doing well!
Congratulations btw. I ma father of 3 on a budget. Maybe covering videos on how to use and or how to select other cards when missing the expensive cards and how they are helpul with what were trying to accomplish. Weather it would be aggro, discard, ect.... i think it would be really helpful. Not only to me but possibly other viewers aswell. On another note i may add your content and your services to the Lorcana community are much appreciated. Especially when i much rather watch physical card play instead of pixleborn. Im sure im not the only one. Look foward to watching the channel grow and thank you for going out of your way to provide us viewers some amazing top notch content. Much appreciated!
I really miss the DC Deck Building game (though I assume we'll see it a bit when the JLD Kickstarter shows up). I'd like to see you guys play a few of the games behind you (Champions, Dice Throne, Legendary Alien, Aeon's End, etc.). Disclaimer: I'm not a big TCG/CCG guy so I'll always lean the other way, though I have watched a few of your Lorcana videos.
Just found your channel yesterday by somehow stumbling onto your interview with Nelson. My son and I have recently been playing Lorcana and I checked out your Ariel deck tech and first gameplay. You guys have great quality videos and a good chemistry between the two of you. Wishing you all the best and you've gained a new subscriber here.
Congrats Dan! That's awesome news. Another excuse for not producing content..... er I mean, family is wonderful. And a new human being is always a great thing to celebrate. I'm excited to see what HnH brings for 2024. As far as some kind of subscription service. TBH, I would probably sub just to give a little support for what you're already doing. But if you're looking to add incentives, I would make a few suggestions. 1.) Allow subs to vote on what decks will be played. 2.) Play the deck of a subs choosing. 3.) Build a custom deck around a theme or card that subs choose/vote on. These are just a few things that could be done to allow the sub to feel included in the process and cultivate a connection that makes the contribution worth it. Whatever you guys choose to do, I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Great video, it's also great to see more gameplay channels out there. There are a lot of review/preview whatever type of content that I do enjoy just watching some gameplay videos (especially of Lorcana!).
Just wanted you guys to know I followed you guys because I got interested in Disney villainous. Once Covid happened I got it as a family game in our house. And my family really loves it. And watching your videos playing the characters really helped me figure out what we were missing. Because some characters can be a little bit difficult. I’m excited about sugar and spite that’s just came out. I hope to get that for my birthday the new expansion. And I really enjoyed playing the Oogie boogie once he was out.
Great update guys thanks for all the info. Honestly all the Lorcana content y’all have been doing recently has been awesome . I’d love to actually see more of the pre-con decks that have come out just to see. Also, I didn’t see anything about DC deck building and was really curious if that has any chance of making a comeback. Also what to say again I love whatever content y’all decide to put out. Also congratulations on the new baby.🎉
I love seeing you two come up with decks to play each other. I would like to see "how to play deck videos." Showing how to play with different Lorcana decks.
Interesting idea! We've got some deck techs in the works, and will definitely keep something like that in mind! Could def. touch on the curve of the deck, and maybe what are some optimal plays on turns 2,3,4 etc.
I love the gameplay videos for Lorcana. I’m not sure whether this kind of content is out there or not, but I’d like to see deck building tips or deck analysis. I like seeing you guys talk about decks before gameplay, and I think whole deck analysis-specific or tips and tricks videos would be interesting.
Well, good news then, because we've got those videos in the works! We're looking forward to building decks, and doing deck tech videos where we basically talk about the deck idea, the cards in the deck, and how they work together.
We've definitely got plans to build more "casual" focused decks and gameplay on the channel. There's a lot of other great channels that really focus on the competitive meta, and while we pay attention to it, don't think we'll hyper focus on it much on the channel. We'll definitely talk about it, but we don't really see ourselves as being "the place" to find out what's going on in the competitive Lorcana scene.
Wow. Really had no idea you werent enjoying it.. youre a good actor 😂😉. Just play the things you like ! I think most important its your channel. Maye you lose some viewers but new ones will come. Keep it up. And keep having fun. We'll keep watching from holland.
Hey guys. Follower from Scotland. Stumbled across your channel a couple of ago, whilst looking for a how to play Here to Slay video. Love your content. In fact you have totally got me into playing card games. I have just ordered DC Deck bukding game. Question : Have you guys done a how to play Lorcana video? You might already have but I can't seem to find one. Keep the great vids coming! 👍👌
Maybe deck building content? Synergies etc? Not sure if there’s good content showing this out there. I appreciate the effort on the front end production-total honesty- love playing your videos during the workday. Congrats on the new blessing!
Appreciate that! Thank you! Yeah we do have some deck tech videos in the works right now, and really looking forward to getting more of that type of content onto the channel for sure!
As much as I would love for Villainous to come back I understand if Jim doesn’t enjoy the game, it wouldn’t be hobbies and happiness if one of you weren’t happy with a hobby. As for Lorcana I’d be interested in more Decks Techs and maybe you can even feature fan made decks where you look at the pros and cons of the decks and possibly suggest your own ideas to improve the decks.
I like the Villainous content but I understand getting deep into Lorcana. I just can’t get into another tcg because collecting cards, storing them, building them, etc can drive me up a wall.. so I just stick to board games I don’t have to modify constantly. Less of a time and money sink. But if Villainous drives one of you guys up a wall I can understand that too. Tbh I could tell he wasn’t enjoying it nearly as much. The constant “take that” gameplay is draining sometimes. But still so much fun for my cousin and I (or maybe I should ask him if he’s still enjoying it 😅😂).
I enjoy all of your content. A little sad that Alpha Clash was pushed aside (i loved that content) but the Lorcana content is great as well. I really love watching gameplay. If I has to add something that I would like to see it would definitely be the Deck Techs. But even one step further (something I've been trying to get my boyfriend to do with his MTG decks). So you build a deck and talk about it and play with it... but what I don't see many or anybody do is do followup videos on tweaking that deck, or changing cards as new sets come out. That almost never ending journey of building and making decks better. I'd love to see that whole thought process whether it is successful or fails.
i want to see a bi-weekly video going over non-lorcana news update. secondly a once a month guest apperance with some lorcana gameplay which could include (sparingly) a family member like parent, spouse or kid. thrirdly a small tease of what deck i want to play next at the end of your episodes, whether you commit to it or not
