Macy, what I love about you is the fact that you remind me of my oldest daughter Danielle, in your attitude wise and energy as well. We have always lived paycheck to paycheck and for her to get the clothes she liked, she had to get it from granny aka my mother in law. I am 4th of 5 girls and have always had most of my clothes second hand, be it hand me downs or from thrift stores myself. I gave that love of saving money and DIYing to her and we did what we had to to make her clothes show her true self/style. Where I was bullied for my second hand Clothes, Danielle made her second hand fashion show just who she trult was/is and she wasn't bullied for her style, hell she was admired

We have charity shops here in England which are small but very common, however I am blown away when I see the sheer size of your thrift shops in America, I want to plan a road trip based solely on browsing these shops 😂 btw love, love, love your content and energy, I also grew up quite poor, and charity shops have been my haven, where I feel comfortable and able to express myself 💖💖💖

It is ridiculously fun to watch you create awesome thrifted looks. I resonate with what you said about how you don’t want people to look just like you, you want to encourage them to be themselves, whatever that is. I have struggled with body image my whole life (especially the last 7 yrs, antidepressant weight gain is no joke) and I am recently trying to express my inner (deeply weird) self through my fashion choices. I may not have worked up the courage to wear some of my pieces out of the house yet but I am getting there and you are helping me. ☺️

About two years ago I thought I was at my peak. However, graduating high school brought on a lot of social anxiety and self-judgment for myself, and I have recently found that I feel worse than I have in a bit. So I made a New Year’s resolution: Stop judging myself for having bad days/not always feeling top notch, give myself more time to heal, and to worship every success and every little thing I enjoy about myself. Your content picks me up and I think channeling your passion into something like thrifting or a hobby is such a great and important way to find what you love about yourself. My relationship is like yours - we almost never get upset with one another (truly), but when we do have disagreements we're very mindful to not yell or say hurtful things. We address the problem, we don't attack one another. It's not something either of us had modeled for us growing up but it's absolutely central to a healthy relationship!

I was in a funky this morning and I just wanted to watch your videos and now I feel like I can start my day off realistically positive. I struggle with body dysmorphia and one of the main things I do is wear clothes that’s too big for my body and it always just feels comfy and I do not have to see my frame. Today I tried out a tighter fitting look and I told myself damn yo legs look great and so does my chest in this top ! I’m definitely feeling like I really want to show more of my body and accentuate my features with positivity, I started getting into sewing so I can make my clothes fit my frame and it makes me feel so much better and creative !!!! We have secondhand clothes store but it's usually just a small store without much choices to choose and on top of that the price almost the same as getting brand new clothes. I'm hoping thrifting becomes a norm here one day! &&&&& I love your positive vibes!

I have so much fun just watching your videos ,listening to your life stories and ofcourse ,Your stlye .I've been thrifting for almost 30 years and it's never been popular ofcourse ,but I love that it is now . I wasn't a very happy person during my childhood ,a story for another day ,But Clothes and staying my clothes in ways that nobody had seen befote ,was so much fun and rewarding too .I took a bunch of my Father's military clothes ,pants that looked like Dickies ,and played around with them and made them fit me and looked so different then anyone else's clothes ,that was fun .Everyone asked where they came from and ofcourse ,I lied .I was embarrassed and made up some story that they came from over seas ,they kinda did ,but It was the first time I started getting so into clothes and stlyes that weren't what everybody else wore. I love that u get as excited as I do when u find a treasure because it's treasure hunting isn't it lol .Bless your sweet heart for what U do and all u say and how u share . Super random I used to thrift growing up I grew up thrifting when I met my stepmother when I was in fourth grade. One side of my family was telling me ew why and my stepmother encouraged me to be myself and to do what I wanted to do and dress how I wanted to dress in regards to that and I miss my style from that! I’m different now but that time when I was thrifting was such a magical and beautiful time and I totally relate to having the thrift store as your escape!! I was literally at either the same thrift store or different thrift stores around my area every weekend with my stepmom or by myself when I got my car and I just lived in the thrift stores basically!! It was my escape and I loved fashion and I had so many clothes!!! some of them I still have today like some jeans that I thrifted and things of that nature ( even little trinkets thrift stores have the best trinkets for my room will always go to them for stuff like that makes me so happy!! :,) ) but I still keep them because they make me so happy and they remind me of such a beautiful time when I was so genuinely happy every time I went shopping at the thrift store and would find such unique things that not everybody else was wearing and I loved that back then! It was really my pride and joy! So glad to see that someone else has the same way of thinking even though maybe our styles aren’t the same who knows I just started to watch your videos like this is the first video of you I’m watching after seeing one of your shorts here on RU-vid and just from the beginning of this it’s just beautiful!! keep doing you you’re awesome!
