If you are in the NFL you can afford a track day for you and your boys to go drive as fast as you want without risking the lives of people just trying to go somewhere. I totally agree with you that some people feel invincible and I don't really know how to teach someone without them just learning themselves,
@zsutton6687

I don't disagree at all, I just think they were messing around and it went south not knowing how to properly handle the vehicle. Young and dumb hopefully this is a wake up call for him.
@davebowman5152
@davebowman5152 2 месяца назад
They were definitely racing. They were in the same lane all the way to the left almost side to side. Can't see how that was just no knowing the vehicles, plus both at the same time is highly unlikely. They also ran on foot which is highly suspect, which means something else was probably going on they did not want anyone knowing about. If they wanted to race. They were in Texas where there are a load of tracks they could've rented a track day for. Hell I don't live in Texas but I'm sure there are tracks open for Sunday drivers for free or cheap.

My point is that rich, young people, surrounded by yes-men who bail them out of every bad situation because they are famous increases the risk of high speed vehicle crashes that hurt innocent people. It's the culture, and by that I mean sports culture. If you can throw, hit or kick a ball really well or run really fast, you're not treated like a normal person. As a star athlete people like teachers and coaches are willing to look the other way when you mess up because you're a winner and for kids who've been raised on being told that they're special and that the rules don't apply to them, they'll think that that's how the world works. Talent Privilege. It’s a thing in all industries. If you’re in the 1% of what you do you will get protected by those who feel like they benefit off of your abilities and given leniency no normal person would ever get. It’s why CEOs can get away with giving themselves bonuses for whatever reason and nobody reports it or in the military, it’s why a Warrant Officer can basically do whatever the fuck he wants. Driving a car like that is actually more dangerous than firing a gun in a building. If Rashee was on the run for shooting up a room full of people and kids everyone would be saying get him out the league. What he did was actually more dangerous. Card kill more people in America than rifles and shotguns combined. Everyone screaming ban guns guns are bad yet more dangerous weapons( a car is 100% a weapon when going 120) and people are like he’s a young man he made a mistake. After Henry Ruggs we can’t call reckless dangerous driving a simple young man’s mistake. Call it what it is. Attempted manslaughter.

There's a huge difference in acting stupid versus being stupid. It's a lot easier to change up one's act than it is to change how one is.

“Bro we put our lives at risk for recreation.” There is so much understanding of human nature in this statement.

These professional athletes view the entire world as their playground. They don’t care who gets hurt and the law doesn’t apply to them. Ruggs paid for his actions and now it’s Rice’s turn. Probably plea bargain down to a misdemeanor and probation.

I know a lot of us have pulled this dumb stunt. I remember racing my friend to school and hitting 120+. I really, really wish I'd never done it, and I wish I had been able to see the actual consequences like Ruggs taking a life. I think we need to see these things earlier in life, see what can happen. And as others have mentioned, if you have Lambo money, you have track money. No need to be racing on the highway. This is all coming from a dude in his 30s though, it's so hard to think of how I'd make 17 year old me listen without showing. Great video, hard topic, glad nobody was hurt more than anything. I really hope he learns from this.

Idk man, people keep saying young people make mistakes but I would have thought it was cool to race my friend on the highway when I was in high school. By the time I was 22-23 and living in the real world. I wouldn’t even think of doing some dumb shit like that. This is an action of children not young men

I definitely agree. It’s not smart and inconsiderate to be racing on the highway like that. To put others life at risk for the thrill of going fast and beating your friends in a race. Most people drive fast sometimes but the racing is insane. Glad no one was significantly hurt it could’ve been a lot worse

The crazy part is he got out and left the scene (in that situation I believe he thought it was worse than staying and getting hit with a DUI even though leaving the scene is bad too), yeah nobody died thank God, in that Henry Ruggs situation someone did. Just take that L, it may not be as bad as you think. The car is registered to you so you gon take responsibility for the most of it, so on that note you gotta decide which L is smaller: the accident and a DUI or the accident and leaving the scene

Speculation here, but if there were weapons removed from the vehicle it could matter if they were used in the commission of a separate crime or stolen or something else of that nature

I can understand wanting to see how your Corvette stacks up next to a rented lambo. But you gotta take it to a track to race. Its more fun than the freeway anyways
