I wasn't sure if you live or are based in Germany, where it seems a historic snow storm hit last week, but it would be a great video in the future, regarding cold weather operations and how they are handled. It doesn't have to be your specific airline policy but maybe a general cold weather ops video coming from you soon, hopefully.

I've done several flights in the newly updated Horizon 787, including one 10-hour flight from EDDF - KDFW, and I'm quite happy with it. I haven't experienced either of the unusual issues you did though.

the OMDB freeware enhancement also adds some logos on buildings, and also adjusting the parking spot sizes and adds parking codes for those who use AI. Horizon sim is also working on a enhancement addon for the 787-10. The 787-8 right now has a hard time maintaing climb speed when hitting FL300.

Very nice video! Did a flight on the Horizon 789 today from IST to VIE. Unfortunetaly it didn't capture the loc nor the GS on approach to RWY11. Things need to get improved. Looking very much forward to this.

I stopped using GSX because it just sucks. If this happens again in the future, you can always use the basic MSFS pushback command of Ctrl+P (assuming you haven't bound that to another function) and it will initiate a pushback straight back.

Welp, toolbar pushback is always an option (never had an issue despite all the warnings from fenix, fbw and stuff) 😜 Feels more realistic with airports like NZA's NZCH and Gaya's LOWW since they use custom tow truck models too Also I had the EICAS issue just once but it went away. No clue why it happened.

For a simple, unassisted pushback, you can always do left-shift - P.

Have you tried the headwinds a330-900neo? I tried the ACJ variant and it shut off at top of climb and I had to emergency land next to the missouri river. Maybe you would have better luck.

I have been having that same issue with GSX randomly over the pass 3 months with different aircraft’s so I assume it’s something weird with gsx. Only difference is It pushes me backwards though.

Question regarding both Airbus and Boeing (maybe a video worth) ATC or the SID give you a speed constraint below your flaps 1 speed (S speed in Airbus) but above your flaps 5 (F speed Airbus). Can you still retract flaps to 1/S speed even though you’ll be below the manoeuvring speed for that flap setting. Same for a speed below UP/Green Dot speed but above 1/S speed I’ve heard mixed answer ranging from Yes to No including “depends on airline”

Did they improve their flightmodell?? I was a little bit disappointed about the engine sounds but I could live with it. But the flightmodell was so bad even compared to the default 787. It sticks to the ground for eternity and the behavior in the air was totally static. Not fbw static where the plane tries to hold the trim. More sticky static where you can set ~600FPM manually with the yoke and it just flies it down without any foot deviation despite wind and weather

How does yours pitch up so smoothly? Mine just jumps with the smallest pull of the joystick as if the plane is weightless...I have the latest version installed and imported the weights from the settings page...are there any recommended sensitivity settings?? I use the TCA Sidestick.

Great plane! But have you noticed the weird behavior just after liftoff? The aircraft yaw to the right, but wind is nearly pure headwind and a little bit coming from the left.

One thing I noticed about the Horizon 787-9 is the incorrect N1 values for the GENX engines. I have not yet checked the RR Trent 1000. It looks like it is currently using the 787-8 values from the Kuro mod. In reality, the N1 should be higher for takeoff and when in the late climb stages, around or over 100% N1 even with a derate. The GENX-1B74 found on the 789 is a higher thrust model of the 1B, so it should have higher N1 capabilities compared to the -1B70 found on the 788. Engine start is also seemingly a bit too fast. I timed it the other day at about 65 seconds for a cold start, whereas I've seen the 787-9 in RU-vid videos take 95-100 seconds cold. I really hope these areas can be improved. Overall tho, this mod is very impressive so far for the cost of nothing!

The last few days I am not able to take off properly because the simbrief weights do not calculate properly within the EFB performance calculator. Is anyone else having this problem?

Lol….just told you in another video that I just uninstalled gsx AGAIN…..Im telling you, it sucks. I can appreciate what they have tried to do, but have simply gotten too complicated. I hate the software personally. It is NOT immersive…it is distracting

31:57 lol airbus v1 callout on a 787

I tried my first 789 flight from EGLL yesterday and had the exact same GSX "pushback forwards" issue. I looked at it, and realised it happens when there's not enough space in front of your chosen parking spot. A good indicator for me was that the pushback truck was shown clipped into T3 at Heathrow about 40' in the air... The fix, when you can be bothered, is to go into the GSX config using the in-game menu and edit the parking space - move things around that aren't in the right place and it'll work just fine. But other than that, slew or MS pushback works. My other GSX issue right now is that if I use nose left/right 90° I lose ground steering; on this Horizon 789 and PMDG's. 788/789 I get left at about 89° instead of 90, and when I start to taxi I have no nosewheel or rudder steering - I can see the rudder move from external views, but I can only move forward. Sorry, Heathrow, I'll chip in to rebuild T3.
