I am so glad I subscribed to you Metal Jesus. Not only do I find these videos fascinating but ever since I turned 17 it was my mission to build a Games Collection.Now I am 27 from the UK which it has been 10 whole years since I started collecting I now have 798 games. 548 in Physical form and 250 in Digital. Since there isn't a Craigslist option for me I mostly use EBAY for new or used games and ideally for me I like Physical games a lot more and as a Games Collector my advice to other people who wants to get into collecting is to watch out for counterfeit Gameboy Advance games and when purchasing a Physical game always demand and inspect the disc or discs before you hand out your money.The last thing you want is to go home and to find out your game or games is defective and the store you had bought it from refuses to refund you for the price of the game.Always treat Games Collecting seriously and don't let the games stores walk all over you.As the most over used quote says "Always vote with your wallet" and if you are not satisfied then do not pay for it.It's that simple.That has always been my foundation that I have lived by for the last 10 years and I am more happier now than I was when I first started collecting.

Great video! An idea for future videos: it'd be cool to see a ride-along video following you going to either a show, or maybe just picking up a rare find you found online. Love your videos, always looking for more C64 stuff :)

You should do a longer style show like this... Film doing this for a few days..then the summary of the initial contact with the sellers etc etc etc and then end with the results whether it be a new game, maybe new friend/collector connections, or whatever.

First of all, great shirt. You sir, have a terrific taste in music. I own every Opeth album both digitally and on vinyl, amazing progressive death metal band. Second, I use Craigslist a lot in building my game collection. The main problem with CL nowadays are two things: 1. Most stuff is crap, and the good things people are asking WAY too much on. As in, more than the price even on eBay. 2. There is good things for good prices, but those go away almost instantaneously. If you don't get in on the deal within the hour, chances are, someone else will have bought the collection already. Now, I got some amazing stuff, but that was on the days I had time and kept on refreshing CL until I found someone's game lot or collection that was at a solid price to justify driving all the way to their place to purchase it. Many cool adventures on CL, just wish it was like it used to be in terms of finding good deals.

Love this type of video. Make a series out of it. Its interesting to see your opinion on prices.

Man I wish I lived in the US... In Sweden, when browsing a similiar type site all I can find is xbox 360 and ps3 sports games or ds child games. When you run into the occasional snes game they overcharge to the point of insanity... You have no idea how lucky you are in that regard.

Yeah definitely look at the some listings that don't have images. Some of my best scores ever have come from sketchy looking listings without pictures and have very vague description. You should do more of these videos. Fun to watch.

Never even thought about Craigslist.. I like to be able to see things with my eyeballs, BUT that being said, definitely going to partake! My wife and I need to get into hunting through thrift stores, too. Your videos ROCK!

Hey dude, I just wanted to say this was a pretty cool video! While it wasn't extremely exciting, it's still really cool to see how other serious collectors go about searching for good finds, and it's cool to listen to your opinion/knowledge on different items. I always seem to learn a lot when I watch your videos, which helps me out when I'm out hunting for deals on my own! If you made your own side-series of these "hunting" videos, I'd probably watch them every day with my morning coffee!

That was cool, just to see that I'm not the only one searching sites like that. I am pretty complete at this point after a few year eBay binge buying up nostalgic games, still fun to watch. Thanks Dude

This is actually really entertaining! As someone who constantly checks websites for the sweetest deals on used game items I find this relatable. I'd love to see one down the line on Ebay listings, I've scored quite a few deals, especially in lots and bundles. (And the Sega market seems to be at a low right now, there's loads of boxed VMUs for 3 bucks and Saturn Fights Sticks for 12 bucks)

Craigslist in my area is a video game desert full of carcasses, scraps, and scalping reselling vultures. There are more video game wanted ads than actual relevant for sale ads.

I did a 6 week job in anacortes Washington. (north of Seattle ) I shipped back four boxes of collectible video games before I flew home.

I remember those game boy tip cards from the early 90's they came with what was that rolled up gum in a tape measurer like dispenser except I pretty sure for those issued card it was shaped to the likeness of a gameboy

I saw a Mattel Classic Football at GameStop once. It's probably a nostalgic re-release, but it's cool.

Those cards are from a gum pack that looked like a gameboy I have one with like 10 cards. It's more of a neat thing with tips for the games

A friend of mine actually has one of those old Mattel football games. I was just checking it out yesterday. lol. We had the two player version when I was a kid, my brothers and I played the crap out of that thing!

Used to play Montezuma's Revenge on my C64 in the 80's, what a great game. Imagine my surprise later in life when I finally found out what Montezuma's Revenge expression really means :)
