Daniel saying "What did you want them to do? Get in a drive in switchblade fight" is almost certainly a reference to Ralph Machio being in "The Outsiders" where his character funnily enough named "Johnny" gets into a literal switch blade fight...and he murders a guy.
Kreese really brought back a mans PTSD and Green Goblin personality to win a 40 year old feud, man I love this show. Also it's no like Kreese is one to condemn dirty plays,
Daniel is also Chaotic good. This is the man who caused the rent for everyone in the strip mall to rise in his pursuit to hurt Johnny. Daniel also lets his hot head cause him to yell at Robby who was a kid.
Johnny referenced what happened to him in the original Karate Kid, at the Halloween Party. “Picked a fight, backed out and then doused them with a hose.”
Cobra Kai - Watch a group of elderly men recruit children into their decades long feud over warring karate schools. I love the show and it's done so well, but the premise is so ridiculous that it's funny. I think that's why I love it so much, it takes itself just seriously enough to buy it, but not so seriously that it doesn't know what it is.
Their sinister tone about their feuds and all their talk about taking over the valley and yet they are just talking about kids karate... it’s so unbelievably corny. 😂
6:34 There were a lot of Vietnam veterans who have/had lifetime mental health issues regardless of the treatment they received. The scars left on Veterans from that war were also further compounded by the horrible long-term problems of Agent Orange. It's estimated close to three million soldiers who served in Vietnam and countless civilians were exposed to that deadly herbicide.
Johnny telling Samantha about being in the back seat her whole life is a call back to season one, when Johnny first saw Sam in the backseat of Yasmine's ride when they crashed into Johnny's car...
I must say the whole “Everybody is a winner” thing needs to go away. It's the same thing as saying nobody is. Is ok to lose and it's ok to fail but it's not ok to not put in your best effort
Robby is actually the nicest kid especially considering everything he’s been through. The way he gos out of his way to help and be kind to Kenny shows his character. In season 1 his only friends were these young adults that would use him to help for crimes. Teens are very impressionable and vulnerable, especially those that are fatherless and the mom is pretty irresponsible too. We have to understand how hard it must have been to stand up to them the way they did but he did so because it was the right thing to do. He was very nice to Sam. In the end of season 2 he was looking forward to having a good school year and tori totally messed that all up. He didn’t mean to do what he did to Miguel. Unfortunate cruel circumstances and a deadbeat dad pushed him into cobra kai.
It's like Daniel and Johnny are in a relationship and their girlfriends and their students (like their kids) are pushing them to stay together. it's funny.
At this point, Sam is gravitating to Johnny and Miguel is gravitating to Daniel. It shows how neither dojo has the only right way. For some, Miyagi Do is better, and for others, Eagle Fang is better. Or, for most people, taking the best of both and applying it to your own individuality is best.
I wanna see Navi defending Sam now 🤣. Soon have to defend his brother too how his acts will get swept under rug just like his sister Also, appreciating Amanda giving lecture to Tory, huh? Have u questioned why she doesnt teach her own daughter not to start any more trouble? Teach ur own kids first how to behave before others
This season for me is amazing, they show us all that trauma that bothTerry and Kresse have and highlights the difference between the two and their teachings
"Sometimes the greatest victory is the battle not fought." - Sun Tzu (or at least I'll attribute this quote to him. I actually heard it from Jackie Chan Adventures).
After seeing her constantly be provoked and attacked, it felt so good to me when Sam finally got a one-up at Tory, not so fun when you are at the receiving end isn’t Tory? Still WAAAAAAAAAAY too soft compared to Tory’s house invasion and attempted murder but it’s something at least! Tory fans will use this as an excuse to justify this but since they love Sam being a bullied victim or attempted murder victim even at her own house, I don’t care what they think!
Very petty and cowardly for Sam to do that at someone's job when you know they can't retaliate or they will get fired. At least Tory was brave enough to confront her and attempt to murder her at her own house.
What do you mean? Terry was genuinely trying to better the people instead of just trying to repeat the past. It's only Towards the end of the season that he starts to get a little crazy
What do you mean a bug moment he's taking away from Johnny have you all forgotten HE IS NOT MIGUEL'S DAD😂😂even when his actual child shows up he puts in the smallest of effort just to go and pout over Miguel
Sam: “And I thought you were bad at fighting.” By my count, Tory won more fights so far. When Sam ran scared at the laser tag/arcade, it still counted as a loss. Sam only won the fight at her house.
Stop trying to rewrite the show. The entire point of the season 2 finale is that everyone in Cobra Kai lost. The only arguable one was between Robby and Miguel since the latter showed mercy.
I agree with johnny,if u start a fight, u finish it. I agree u need to show restraint but Miguel didn’t need to start a fight in the first place and should have saved it for the tournament .
Tory’s biggest problem with Sam is Sam is living the charmed life while shes living the hard luck life. Sam started it all way back at the country club threatening to have her kicked out and accusing her of stealing while Tory was trying to include her hanging out with her and Aisha. Sam’s whole attitude then was you don’t belong here or with My friend Aisha. She did that while Amanda was saving Robby from being kicked out for things he had actually done. It irks me that that the show just drops this. They could’ve had a brief scene of Sam trying to apologize and Tory rebuffing her at least. That would’ve gone a long way to making me like Sam more. Then in this episode at the drive in Sam - the actual princess mocks Tory for having to work as a make believe princess. Tory is still legit upset about Miguel too, despite it all. I guess teenage girl feelings. I will say the way they handle Sam and Tory as good as it is , it’s also pretty disjointed in many ways.
Agreed, I LOVE Cobra Kai, but this show seems to almost never hold Sam accountable for her mistakes. And the instant she tries to take responsibility Daniel always says it not her fault.
All facts! An let's also remember when Aisha an Tory became friends was after Sam shitted on her to try to fit in with the cool crowd. Then Sam came crawling back to her after Moon & Yaz shitted on her lol.
I could agree if this was before tory assaulted and broke into sams home but why would sam apologize when tory has done significantly worse things to her?
Sam is writer's pet. Period. Everything she did, still doing as u see in this episode, is swept under rug as if nothing happened. It is even worse for her brother. As if we should forget how he turned a sweet kid into a raging maniac and tuen started acting saint
Johnny dosent knoooow that miguel and meeee go driving in his car every sunday, He tell him hes just woooorking on his moms carrrrrr, but im right next to him teachin!
Back to the annoying Robbie worship. I thought you guys were done with kissing his ass but I guess not. Robbie is not perfect. He almost killed Miguel and you guys still kiss his ass. So irritating. I bet you want him to kill Miguel. I am so sick of the Robbie worship. HE IS NOT A SAINT. You make every excuse in the book for Robbie. I am so tired of it. Robbie is not special. Miguel is a way better character and a better actor.
stop hating man, miguel also is not a saint, he cheated in the tournament, kiss samantha when she was dating robby, and he start the fight with robby in the school, both is not perfect, but you are capable to not see kkkkkkk
Not sure why you are hating on the actual actor that plays Robbie. He is only doing his job. Both Tanner Buchanan and Xolo Mariduena are excellent actors and do their roles really well. No one wants anyone to kill Miguel. They know Robbie regrets what he did to Miguel. He wasn't intentionally meaning to hurt Miguel like that. Robbie doesn't think before he acts and is too proud, but I, and others also see good in him. That isn't saying he is a saint. You just don't like people liking him as a character.
