Have you ever tried using a serger to cut off the excess batting and backing ? You don’t have to do anything but follow the edge of your quilt top and it makes it all one layer to make it REALLY easy to put the binding on !! I do that with EVERY quilt I make. Love it !

I have only sewn 4 Double Wedding Rings, but it is on our list of kits we would like to try offering as a precut. Lots of quilters would like to stitch these up for gifts, but sewing the curves can be intimidating. I'll see what we can do.

Your tutorial is great, as always, very precise and directions are simple to follow. I love the curved log cabin, but could not find the instructions on your website. Not in the free downloads or in the purchased kits. Have you removed it? I know it's been since April 2017 when it was made, but, still keeping my fingers crossed that I am just overlooking it. One day I am going to make one of those Log Cabin Quilts. I am still learning how to cut the fabric properly. I purchased one of the electric Accu Quilt machines, There is still a lot of work in getting the fabric pressed , rough cut and laid onto the die perfectly. I enjoy your tutorials. Thank you for taking the time to explain everything in detail. I seem to be hung up on the Bargello patterns and enjoyed your tutorials on those.
This is a great pattern! I used remnants with more contrast to do a test run before I order the kit. Very pleased with the results. Instructions are easy to follow and the blocks go together very nicely. Thanks to Donna!

Just wanted to advise how wonderful the sets you do are for we who are older quilters. I purchased to Holiday Flourish quilt set. To my enjoyment the blocks went together so quickly and "right on the money". Due to the need for a quick gift, I did a table running and placemat set. Had enough to add another runner. Love the curved log cabin tutorial. Just got my first shipment from you. The Hoffman's Bali Batik Watercolors are beautiful. I'm thinking of doing this pattern as one of the things I will make with them. But, I'm thinking I would like to have the round curve become a concave pattern in the center (like a 'curved' diamond) and to make matching place mats. I think doing a 180 (turning the narrow strips to the center instead of the wide strips) with the 4 blocks should do it.

Wonderful videos!! I'm new (trying to be new) to quilting so your tutorials are very helpful and give me hope! I bought a pattern for a Stack Four table runner and got totally lost about what fabrics go where for stitching. I think it has to with the fact that fabric shown isn't consistent so I'm very confused that if I start stitching it, when I attempt to cut and piece it, it won't look like the pictures! It's apparently by Nancy Dill from Quilt Woman. I have all the fabric cut and now Iost! Your videos give me hope that I'm not totally inept!!

Hi Donna I just love you! I was wondering if you could please do a video of log cabin hidden stars quilt. (I think that's what it's called) It's the basic Log Cabin block but when you put them together there ends up being a star where all four corners meet I have searched and searched and cannot find a free pattern for this anywhere so I'm not sure if you would be interested in doing a video that would be awesome thank you and you inspire me so very much
I think we will be adding this as a precut kit, but for now you can cut your own using the free download on our website and just make more blocks so you have enough for a quilt.
