When are they going to speak about it?

It's informally known as the 'Hat system'. Here in the UK, a person can be multiple people depending on the 'hat' they're wearing. In the case of a Prime Minister, they can make separate statements as the leader of the country and the leader of their political party. In this case, Boris wasn't recommending his father as his son, but as the Prime Minister and leader of the Conservative Party. It's basically a system invented by UK politicians to make favouritism, nepotism and being two-faced legitimate actions.
