I am beginner having a lot of challenges with blender, but i was able to make about 60% if not 70% of this .Thanks to you i am learning a lot from you.
@@Imphenzia It was really nice to watch. As I wrote you before, you got me to download blender again after a few years of abstinence now! :) I´ll just start to make my own version of this ship right away.
2:08 The aftcastle is raised above the rest of the deck so that the pilot can be close to the rudder but still see where he's going. The high ground also makes the fore- and aftcastle easier to defend.
No need to be so critical of you creation. I learned a lot about ships in the last weeks but this video is about teaching others how to model better and challenging yourself to simplify a form for low poly. You succeded and it was entertaing to watch. Thank you!
Guy in crow´s nest: "Damn how am i to see anything in front... that sail blocks my whole vision." Flag: "At least you dont waft against the wind..." LOVELY XD
@@Imphenzia i think its fairly well XD i mean having sails "representing" nets under the bowsprit is innovative. its just the sail blocking the crow´s nest, which is obvious XD btw love this series, best part even tho i am learning 3d in maya the way you use extrude and shape, as well as the different projects are helpful :D
I've download your 10 minutes challenge series video and give it to my team members who don't have internet access, they are very happy with it! Lot of learning materials I've provided to them but your video is the one they love the most, it just fantastically easy to follow. I'm satisfied with their progress from absolute zero, thanks to you!
AWESOME lesson in efficient modeling technique. It still takes me forever to do all but the simplest things & I still model myself into a corner more often than not. I see here this is because I have failed to harness all of Blender's basic modeling tools. For example, I just recently learned to use the mirror modifier and didn't even know about auto-mirror. Can you do an airship next? That would be fantastic. Thanks.
A Tip; a super fast way to extrude vert/edge/face is to hold CTRL then Right Click and the object will extrude to your cursor, this works awesome if you use the orthographic views (1, 3, 7 on the numpad)
Love this! Learnt some new tips so thanks for that! If you press 'G' then 'Shift + X' you can move it in the the Y and Z axis at the same time without it moving in the x axis.
Thats a dandy pirate ship. Where they stand is called the "Crows Nest". Keep up the great work. Love Thursdays builds. Maybe try and underwater scene with a submarine in it.
You have the best (and criminally underrated) blender channel on youtube. Thank You for taking your time to make these videos, I hope you'll reach a wider audience soon :)
Use CTRL+SHIFT + Numpad + to select more neighbour faces. If you select 1 nad 3(whatever) face in one direction you can make checkboard selection D. Nice tut. Try addon Building Tools.
Love the series! You should have a website where you could download some of your projects or somethin for thos of us who can't use the magic of 'E' to extrude as well as you do!
7:34 There is actually is no set rules for pirate ships at all, because pirates dont make their own ships, they steal other peoples. Heck it was common to see a pirate gunning whatever ship he found. Blackbeards famous queens anne revenge was just a large merchant ship rigged to have more guns and such. No rules at all. (although most pirates did use faster smaller ships because it was better for pirating, a big ship with a lot of guns was more of a flex, but did come with real power as well.)
Great tutorial. Very nice and unique way to make this ship and other low poly stuff. I believe this will be light on my computer which is 4 GB RAM and Generation 5. Can you please guide how to make a 5 second PNG clip or can I make single image, which later combine to make a clip. Please guide about setting on computer to get optimum results. Thanks in advance
Most pirates were just navy officers that found out that their king or queen had been defeated on land ,losing their head in the process, so went rogue shooting up anyone connected with the wars winner before finding a new neutral navy that was looking for a good officer. So there were few dedicated pirate ship designs.
Checked back through your channel for how to bring your colour palette into the workspace and can't find anything. Could you please - as a pre-setup to your next 10 minute modelling... show us how you do that. Thanks
i can't believe you didn't say CTRL ARRRRRR XD but good vid as always! :D are you able to make a tutorial on texturing etc, etc... like for example, the cop car would have Police on the side and stuff like that, thanks again, have a good one! :D XD
#help I did color my object as you did in uv wrapping mode. But now my object is not showing up on layout mode also it's remain blank when I see render image. Only the object is visible on uv wrapping mode.
