If you want to use the palette style UV coloring method, I go through that in both of the above linked videos.
Additional info:
I've been modeling in Blender since about 2015 but more recently in the past couple of years. I've been making games and assets in Unity since 2011 and I'm currently working on a multiplayer RTS game that I'll be happy to announce later this year.
I use a Canon Lumix GH5 camera to record my videos with the Olympus 17mm F1.2 lens as well as the Laowa F2.0 7.5mm compact dreamer lens. Sometimes I also use a GoPro Hero 8, a Insta360 One X and a Sony rx100 mark vii. For audio I use a Rode NTG shotgun microphone connected to a RME Fireface UFX II sound card.

man.........CG Cookie has a Treasure Chest tutoral too. Its so exhaustively complicated that i just havent went back to it since. The CG Cookie tutoral is probably collectively 2 hours long. I get here and this madlad smashes out a treasure chest in 10 mins.

The difference is the details, the Cg cookie one could be even used for a AAA game this one fits casual indie games more

I've only started Blender 2 weeks ago. Now, whenever I look at any inanimate object, I create an inset and extrude. It's been days since I started seeing things. Can't wait to look at my therapist. Love the channel.

@Imphenzia I known Blender for over twenty years. Many times I have tried to get a good user, but I almost always abandoned the idea because I found it not very intuitive and very huge. For some years now, I have approached the Godot game engine and Blender is a valid its ally. So learning Blender has become even more necessary. Then I discovered your videos and decided to try again... You are fantastic!

These are the best tutorials for making Blender look and feel approachable. When you’re staring into the abyss that deleting the started cube leaves, take time and watch this guy’s videos. Blender is not beyond your reach.

Great fun doing the cityblock 👍🏻😊 An idea for february .... a "transportation device".... would go along well with the city blocks and still not as "locked down" as say "a car".... Firetruck, Plane, Train, Bus, Ship, Bike, Motorcycle, Helicopter, Utility vehicles....

another cool way to make a irregular lowpoly wood plank is to do voxel remesh, a decimate modifier with a low ratio and then sculpt with scrape.

Hmm, theme suggestions? I'd say either steampunk or, if you want a challenge... Magepunk. Suggestions would be metal homunculus servants, magic mirrrors you can use as a smartphone, magic staves replacing guns, that sort of thing. And, of course, anything a wizard might keep in his living room for decoration.

If it's not too much to ask, I would like to see how you make a low-poly version of the robot "VINCent" from the movie, "The Black Hole". VINCent is one of my favorite robot characters.
