It's hysterical to me that multiples sets have had "showcase" cards that are just wiped of color. Ya'll know we like the colors right?

Thanks for going through and explaining the most efficient way to plan out a sealed deck! I learned trail by fire and sticking to 2 colors and which ever I had the most cards and then trim the fat.

Watch vids online that tell you their take on the best 3-4 commons in each color(generally decent removal and creatures with card advantage) so you have a good idea, and you'll almost definitely be opening some of those, and learn about the draft archetypes(usually 2 color pairs). Look at your best bomb rares and uncommons and mana costs - I generally go the color I have the most and best 2-3 drops

I love this video, perhaps the first video that I've seen that both explains the limited deck building concepts then actually proceeds to do it with cracking actual packs. I think you can retitle the video as "how to build a sealed deck; Innistrad: Midnight Hunt edition" so that people who need such education can find the video easily.

I miss the extras we got before in the form of tokens. The foil double sided tokens were the best bonus! Bring that kind of goodies back.

I miss having the date on the stamped promos. My wife and I have been attending prereleases together as our date night since Eldritch Moon and we look back on the promos to reminisce about where we were in life at the time. I understand why Wizards doesn’t want to commit to a specific date in this day and age, but it’s still a shame.

I get how the timestamps don't help value for sellers, but the emotional value they add on when you pull them for a draft on that date can't be overstated. Sad to see this go away. I really treasure my prerelease-dated promos.

Hey Gavin! I have a design question about Innistrad: Midnight hunt. Is there a secret cycle of uncommons in this set? It may be a complete coincidence, but there are 5 uncommons in this set that are strictly better than a past common counterpart. For White it’s Ritual of hope/Glorious charge (or loyal Gryff/Dawn Gryff), for blue it’s fading hope/unsummkn, for black it’s foul play/Defeat, for red its play with fire/shock, and for green it’s Brood weaver/giant spider. My friend Dylan and I noticed and were curious, so we thought we would reach out!

I would use 7 forest, 7 swamp, 3 mountain here. In a 2 color deck you often want to split evenly. In a deck like there where you splash a little, I usually want 4 total sources. (In this case my 4 drop mana creature is the 4th source.)

why you think dawnheart rejuvenator is so bad? even if you wouldn't need it for the splash it's a solid 4 drop in my opinion. if you don't hit your 5th land or to help you ramp into your 6 drops.

This has probably been answered but I'm eager to know if the old werewolves will get a day/night errata so they work in sync. There's a lot of weird rules interactions right now with cards like moonmist and the Celestus that make old and new werewolves not feel good to play together. Right now I'm just talking to my playgroup about it, but I'd really like to at least hear what Wizards thoughts are.

On the lower left we get the name of the artist. Would it be possible or make sense that on the lower right we get the name of the card designer? I am not sure how much collaboration goes into each card.

Why did you move away from a free draft on Arena? Receiving 6 packs from the code doesn't do much for me if I've just enjoyed a prerelease event. I would like to play Sealed or Draft. I can use my wildcards for cards that I can get from the set for any constructed play.

hello gavin, any tips how to play werewolfcards in paper with sleeves? Im afraid its a bit annoying to get them out of their sleeves almost every turn to put them on to their day or night side.

My suggestion is when you play a werewolf, take it out of its sleeve while it's in play. Then you can flip it easier. Hope that helps!

16:00 Don't tell new players to put spells & non-creatures in their curve. Players need to understand how many creatures (or creature token producing spells... except decay tokens, since they're worthless) their deck has. Frankly, you should probably have 3 curve lines: (1) Creatures (~13-16), (2) removal (as much as you can), and then (3) other; where "other" should be the most bereft curve lines. Mixing (3) with either (1) or (2) is generally a mistake. (I could see mixing (3) with (2) if you're doing a spell-count, but that really seems to be misleading, even if every creature in your deck had prowess, it's important to note how many removal spells you have.)
