A year after receiving it, it's time to paint this massive dragon. I'll also explain how I prep the model by removing the dragon from the base and make a fun solo prop out of the golden treasure and loot!

You're the first RU-vidr I've seen that thought to drill the dragon off the base. Thank you for also showing any new painters who might not know about it the hot water trick. Your paint job on this dragon is great, subbed! Edit: I just saw you haven't posted a video in about a year, I hope you come back, I love your content.

I was hoping the model was screwed in under the circles from the base! Oh well, at least I know I can drill it without destroying it. Also, is it just me or the video's resolution make it feel soothingly retro?

Turned out really nice, well done. I actually thought that you were gong to loose some of your magnetism when you kept putting stuff over the magnets. Happens to me all the time, lol

I did end up losing some, but luckily not enough to cause issues! Probably will happen on a future project, haha

So glad it was helpful! On my own quest to put the dang thing together I'd seen quite a few... ill advised (stabby) methods of working with it and wanted to find a safer way.

I'm finally painting that one right now, but I'm attempting a more easy for good results method since there's just so many models. Except the Kobold Queen. I'm gonna give her the full treatment.
