Good to know I'm not the only one who revisited this video from long long ago :). This is also the video that got me into ARMA back in middle school which was like 2012 or something. Omg time flies man.

the thing i like about arma is that every seat is a car or chopper or boat you can put someone in it unlike battlefield where a humvee can only have 3 guys in it when it has about 4 seats and a gunner seat plus you need 3 people to fully use a tank again unlike battlefield where one guy can both drive and use the main gun
hi, ive played around in the arma 2 editor but ive never made anything big. I hve only tried to make small missions like a village clearance or a concoy etc. how would I go about setting something like this up with the big open almost sandbox mode. thanks in advance
Oh, and btw... in Op. Arrowhead the best optic sights would be the TWS sight. VR-vision. makes it easy as hell to scout positions from a fair distance.
I would realy appriciate it if you could tell me what mod or ai improvement mod that you have on. There is no way that the AI moving and covering that smart. Please tell me what mod.
you can, but you may want to get Operation OA because it's got the desert maps instead of the dense forest and farm land,because it runs smoother and has a more active community. You could also wait for a sale and get both the games for quite cheap.

you should try to do a Tank division, its my favorit thing to do in the game, buy like 3-5 tanks and destroy everyone in your way, i love to move around in tank formation, its awesome
The only reason I want ARMA 2 is because the weapons and vehicles because I think its leaving behind alot of famous weapons/vehicles we all know, like the M16/AR series of weapons I love but there have been no screenshots of the AR family (to my knowledge) but everything else looks great!
he's likely playing with Arma 2 CO (combined operations arma 2+arma 2 OA) you can buy them separately or buy them as a package. He may also have the BAF and PMC DLC (british armed forces and private military contractors) They aren't required to play online, but they give you factions, vehicles, campaigns/missions and HD textures online for the Brits n PMC.
it would probably lag, because the map scale and amount of objects and units you can have would be alots. But you should Watch Arma III trailer, your going to be happy i guess if you have the PC for it
you just go to multiplayer screen and Host a Lan game, then pick the mode you want, after in parameters you can set things like number of towns to capture and such
Oh and yes you can capture an airfield but its not like in arma 2. You cant control it you can just go up to it and you have the option yo buy a jet but you can buy one at you're main base.
To play this you need Arma 2 & Arma 2 Operation Arrow Head. You can easily find it on Steam since it is nearly always in the top selling games there. Wasteland is NOT a game but an edited costum mission in multiplayer mode. No need to install mods. Also, if you heard of DayZ, it is a MOD you have to download for the game, very popular before, but less and less now because they announced a Stand Alone game due to come out this year. (won't be a mod anymore). Arma 2 itself is fantastic but :(1of2)
I play Arma 2 with a Xbox 360 controller all the time. But you still need a keyboard for some of the more miscellaneous actions like compass, leading a squad, etc. Most people use 360 controllers for flying. But still, if you're going to play stuff like light infantry engagements, a keyboard is more reliable.
Arma 2 is one of those FPS games where you have to rely on a team. The realism of this game can prevent anyone from going all Cobra Commando on someone. So if anyone here needs a team send me a message.
