Βut can't you use that gift of the sanctuary in exchange for emeralds? isnt it a nice way to get emeralds without overpaying?

Yes, if you have all of your pets maxed you can trade it for 100,000 emeralds. This is why I buy it on my main account but not this account since this one isn't close to getting the 100k.
