Hey, loved your video, very entertaining. 😂 Haven’t built a ship myself, looks like a headache. But I do like to tinker with my ships. When I stop at port I head over to see what the tech has that I might be able to use before heading into the city. My favorite places are Deimos and my shipbuilding platform on my base. The base options includes shielded cargo and some interesting ships to buy. I just realized that I have never bought a ship, just keep taking them over and modifying them. It’s funny you should mention your ship is a beast. I have a Freestar Vista that I tinker with that I call “The Beast,” that’s so big it barely fits the landing pad at New Atlantis. Since I moved the landing gear to the rear, when I exit the ship I get stuck under it. But at least I don’t have to run to the front. Oh, if you sell a ship all the items on it transfer to your home ship. I found my missing items when I sold my Star Eagle a.k.a. “Black Bird,” as in the song. All your ship needs now is a paint job! PS Sarah had something for you even if the text is grayed out.

To me, it's entertaining because it is satisfying watching the ship come together successfully the way you want it to be. I still think it looks cool. I think its going to perform like you have experienced, VERY fast in a straight line but not so good in the turns - lots of mass pushed by very powerful engines.

Double click any part of the ship to highlight it. Any unattached modules will show up. The builder is really weird about fitting into slots and if you choose to build something from an access point on a hab, the builder will only show you modules which builder things can fit in that space.

I see your problem. If you attach a bay to the bottom of a hab, you will get a ladder entrance. If you attach it to an end or a side you will get a door entrance. BUT somehow at 24:08 you put a porthole at that hab end so the bay had to attach to the hab above. If you select a part the menu will only offer variants of that particular model if any are available. To get them all to appear you need to delete the part. The easiest way to find what’s not attached is to Select All. Whatever doesn’t turn orange is not attached. Last, if you go to a UC dock you’re going to get mostly Nova Galactic and Deimos products since they’re UC based corporations. FC bases will get you mostly Hope Tech, Sleighton, Stroud-Ecklund, and Taiyo products. Paradiso and Red Mile are neutral so they’ll have a more liberal (and smuggler friendly) selection. The Key did as well but they’re out of business since Captain Fox gave the Legacy to the UC (which is a whole other rant). I didn’t find this boring at all. I can’t tell you how many times I had brought up the Ship Builder, tinkered around, and then backed out before committing.

What you need is the Taiyo Ship Bed 200 Landing Bay if you want to go straight thru Fore/Aft, or the Stroud Pro for a Port/Stbd version

Also, last year this was super handy for me in figuring out what habs to go after. Its chaptered by hab type. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g7hMVAqgoxg.htmlsi=bhFBKqSONYyeX5-a Keep in mind that some bays are gound entry, some have ladders up to the next level, others like the Stroud ones are side loading w/ ground entries. For example, you can't connect a hab on the same level to a ladder up bay because it lacks that ground entry door.
