J M yes, I did! Thanks for reminding me. I got it on 9-30 and it’s fast and fun. The only two things that bother me are the battery only lasts for about 6 miles. I have to contact the sender. And the the other thing is the back tire is a little unbalanced and I get a shimmy when I go fast. I have a golf cart place about a mile down the road from me so I’m gonna stop there in a few days and see if they can do anything. Other than that, it’s fast and fun AF!! Walmart sells them too!! If I had known that when I purchased it, I would’ve had it in 2 days, not 2 weeks! Lol it’s worth it though for sure.

@@felix_2037 the thing actually shit out on me because the wire XT-90 connector to the battery was loose (black wire) and we never found it out until later on. The company sent me a new motor, throttle, and controller and that wasn’t even the problem! Just a loose wire that was giving intermittent power. The bike was on and it got power, it just wasn’t going anywhere. My buddy who owns a mobility scooter business got me a two motor, two seater bike like the mototec, but WAY better. Got it for $500 and I already had a battery, so score!🤙🏼

Well, nice but where do you get replacement tire, replacement battery, etc.? I have another scooter and have huge problems finding tires and a fitting battery as replacement

@@rg7846 Just got it in today. This thing rips pretty damn fast yo! I tested the speed and got up to 29 mph. I'm pretty heavy too (220ish lbs) so I guess if you're lighter then it would be even faster. Goes up hills and goes on grass with ease. A con about the bike handle bars can't be tilted to how you like cause there's a dead bolt in the middle where the handle bars go with 4 hex screws in each corner. Anothet con I didn't like is that the platform covering where you put your feet down is some cheap plastic.

@@rg7846 there's more cons to this as I'm riding it more now. The welding to the frame is super crappy. Looks like a 6 year old welded the frame. LoL they said this thing didn't need suspension because of the super fat tires but that's BS. Seat hurts my ass while going on long rides. The charging port under the foot rest is pretty flimsy. If I were you go look at the mototec knockout with 2 seats. Or go look at the edrift fat tire or coco fat tire. They are very similar to the mototec fat tire. About the same price too I believe. Make sure the battery is lithium ion and not acid based batteries.

Keith /Tsoleno29 I am gonna take mine to a golf cart place. I live in Florida and these old people need their golf carts taken care of so theirs no shortage of golf cart shops here. That’s the best advice I could give. I have a little shimmy in my back tire from being a little unbalanced when I go fast, how about you? Everything ok with yours? Lmk.

It's a fun and scary ride as it pulls you fwd with a sudden jerk and would be better if I could adapt the front with a suspension fork for less jarring rides. I also had to put together a makeshift ramp to roll it into my apartment lol as it's pretty healthy weight wise! Yeah I haven't been on it for a month now just trying to get original tire back on and fill with air but there's too much air escaping to fill it! I've seen youtube vids where guys roll over the edge of the tire to either break the bead replace the tire onto the rim. I believe I have to get a friend to help me put the new, "Tonka" wheel tread tire on as tire shop tried with tire irons and slightly bent the edge of rim trying. I appreciate your info man!

@@JoeyPeeps157 Thanks, I think a ratchet strap will be my next try! Just watched a video where the tire is pushed out to the rim enough as it's compressed around the center with the ratchet so, off to Home depot asap, Thanks again!

@@bmxney9796 1450$ total I believe. I still have the scooter but needs a lot parts replaced and the company doesn’t give a shit to help you out. They replied to me 8 months later on the email that they don’t have the part for it and I should order online

I have just recently purchased one of these Mototec scooters and from the research that I have done it shows that they are located in WI... but I'm pretty sure they get these from China and just modify them a little bit and sell them.

In California to ride any motorized scooter you can have any class driver license! ;)

R G as someone whos had multiple bad crashes on everything from skateboards, bikes, etc. I’ve been told multiple times in the emegency a helmet saved me from serious damage or death. Safety is always worth it.

A full face helmet is always recommended when riding any motorized vehicle

@@kenshinro7 No doubt! I'm honestly pretty new to escooters and ebikes, but I decided to purchase one today. It's from this company called Sondors. They seem pretty nice, they're on preorder for like 1600 with shipping included. I went through a ton of reviews and the Sondor Madmods ebike seemed like the best option for performance and cost, plus the bike doesn't release until the end of May, so with their payment plan, I should have it paid by then, so that they can ship it as soon as it releases. I'm pretty hyped! If you want the link, let me know!

I got mine from upzy.com and bigtoyusa was the distributor that sent me mine. It came with minor scratches on the frame right out of the box. Quality is kind of crappy but it does run pretty strong for me. I shoulda looked at the edrift scooters or coco scooters. They look similar to the mototec but of better quality

I doubt people who buy this kind of thing are very concerned how legal it is...

In California it's legal to ride any motorized scooter. Here's a list of rules from the DMV of California. A motorized scooter has 2 wheels, a motor, handlebars, and a floorboard that you can stand on while riding it. You can only drive motorized scooters on a bicycle path, trail, or bikeway, not on a sidewalk, and you cannot exceed a speed of 15 mph. You do not need to register motorized scooters. You can drive a motorized scooter with any class driver license.

the whole point is to save money on gas.. ride it on bike path ...plus people like me i ain't riding no damn bike on a highway ..especially how idiots out there driving ..nah im good ...
