There is a cosmetic mod that you might want to check out called "Better crop fences". It makes farm plots visible. Always had an issue with that myself.

In terms of buggy pathfinding surrounding buildings, you can use the shortcut cntrl+shift+f11 to reset the navmesh. I have to do it once every few hours sometimes! But it tends to ensure that people can enter/exit buildings and use ramps! Also I'll again recommend the crop fences mod and recruitable prisoners! Recruitable prisoners is a beautiful mod that's had a lot of work put into it and is really cool. (For instance, you can't recruit holy paladins unless the entire squad that's recruiting them are male greenlanders, etc)

I'm actually amazed the og crew is alive, mine all died a couple hours in, the copper miners lived on though and became warriors themselves... Then also died

Hey Rycon, just be aware that a character has to have twice the strength of a weapon's weight to use it properly. Otherwise it'll be really slow, like you said. Oh and taking damage reduces strength. Although using heavy weapons is a good way to train strength, especially since you aren't cheesing with carrying a body while having a trader's backpack full of raw irons.

Having 2 gates is often very buggy and can mess up the pathfinding, although that makes raids easier.

was I the only one screaming for him to loot their weapons and armor so they aren't a threat anymore... lol

I'm a bit late to watching this, busy busy, etc. Spoilers for the episodes follows. 1) IIRC creatures die when their head, stomach or torso reaches negative level at their maximum HP, so creatures with more HP die less easily/more slowly. Or they die at -100. Not sure :v They also die at a certain negative blood level, -75 I think. 2) When farming, don't use it for food at first. Use the harvest to upgrade to the farms to the largest version. 3) Think there was some fabric on the ground there near the stone processor. 4) Harpoons are a straight upgrade of crossbows, but they need power. 5) Two gates might cause bugs for stuff like caravans and raiders, might be fixed tho'. Also, not as good angles there now :P 6) Nice, Kral's Chosen are no pushovers. Dunno why your people weren't manning the turrets properly first. 7) "I don't like the look of this" is just something they say when being a medic. 8) Wait... I think I get it. They're trying to do their regular jobs instead of being gunners. 9) Having the wheatstraw and cactus storage out there is gonna take longer when you're gonna cook it too, unfortunately. 10) Yes, upgrading and using some different weapons is a good idea (Meitou weapons are limited to like one of each type or something). Of the top of my head, Skeletons have bonus XP to heavy weapons. 11) #3 again yeah, haha, some stuff laying about. Very messy Sandpit Rycon! 12) You do got enough building materials just to expand the walls :D 13) Yeah... The dogs are confused since you have two gates. They don't know where to go now. I only just realised that your from NZ when my friend mentioned the word that you use in your intro (was like we're have I heard that before then it clicked I was like holly f*** I know what that word is and felt real stupid) ( should also mention I'm from Australia but grandparent's are from there) I've been subed for over a year and didn't notice.

It's probably a huge investment of time and resources, but you could maybe look at creating curtain walls that extend out around your mining and farming resources, bringing them into the safety of the settlement. Loving the story, keep it up! 😁

To solve your turret problem, you can give some of your people a job to man the turrets, and put it in the lowest priority. They'll man the turrets when there's an enemy. If they don't, deactivate the jobs and the turret job should stay active (like how medic job does).

that double gate really confused those bone dogs. hopefully the two gates won't confuse your team as well.

Racial XP bonuses for specific weapon types are actually super rare in this game for some reason. I think the only ones I can think off right now are basic Skeletons which have a bonus to heavy weapons (planks, fragment axes, etc) and another type of skeleton (which you might be able to recruit but not create new characters from) which has a penalty to Katanas.

yea for those turrets to work you need better angles on the doorway. they can only pivot about 120 degrees

A save & reload can fix turrets that aren't working (when you order someone to man it but they just stand around). Annoying, but fixable. What's hard to figure out is turret guards not shooting enemies they clearly can shoot at.

You have Jobs on so you tell them to do the crossbow but it's not their top job so they run off

The outer Sallyport walls could have Turrets and be manned also. Before the Outer Gate falls you could have the Defenders fall back or leave them in place too hit Attackers from all sides. It would be a situational decision.

There is a pretty good mod gives Npc's an item so you can execute then after you beat them it may help and if you want to let someone go you don't have to take it

you could make a figure 8 base just add walls to the back side where you said you be placing more farm and they don't have to be the defense walls they could be the makeshift walls

Are there ways to replace those Wall sections that the new walls are built next too. I'm wondering if there are wall pieces with Intersections. I'm planning on picking this game up soon. Watching too see how ig plays.

Going to be honest, the sheer number of repeated mistakes and lack of attention to detail are a little hard to deal with in a game where you can pause time. Like, garry's injuries were completely unnecessary, and from the comments below the same mistakes keep getting made. Rp wise this is amazing, play wise I am genuinely surprised all of your characters are still alive. This game does appear very hard but a lot of your issues with it seem to be mistakes you repeatedly make. Even turning on jobs for Hong clearly showed him going to the other turret but rather than letting him you stopped him.

I realize this is older, but this is hard to watch... all the errors. Just after the battle with Kral's Chosen, you put everyone back on jobs... and they scatter to go back to work... then call them back to heal them. All you have to do is tell them all to just go to central location so the healers can heal them all quickly. Also, in previous battles, you didn't bother taking their medicine, then realize you don't have medicine. You don't bother taking all the weapons away from the enemy, and let them get up and continue to assault you. It's just stupid. You are hurting yourself again and again by missing simple things. I hope in future playthroughs you fix these careless, costly mistakes.
