I think several people in the room were plants with hidden cameras. Matt likely knew he would be discovered as he's a big enough name now that among a group of leftists, a few of them are going to recognize him. What is a Woman got hundreds of millions of views.

Likely the film crew was a separate entity (like they requested to film and then later he requested to be a part of the group) so when this inevitably happened, they wouldn’t be kicked out too.. Plus it would have made it more difficult for him to sneak in these groups if he has a whole ass camera crew with him. He talked a tiny bit about how much work it took to get into these spaces inconspicuously.. Which, it’s going to be even more difficult now but I hope he has additional future plans 😂

If the people agreed to be in a documentary ahead of time, there would be a couple of cameramen trying to dance around each other to keep out of the shot. Multiple cameras would already be set up. So, you would see the group in real time discovering Matt Walsh’s identity. Here, it looks like Matt left the room for a moment, which gave the group the opportunity to exchange whispers.
