For some reason I could never get fender single coils to work for me, but I have put P90’s in one of my Les Paul’s and I absolutely love them. Still a hum bucker guy through and through, but p90’s are great too. Myself I’m still torn between buying a Gretch semi hollow body, or the danelectro 59x double cutaway with he lipstick hum bucker and P90. Decisions decisions………….. Anyway great video Hyce, and very cool collection.
@@hycestudio5084 the one down side of being married with children Hyce, it’s one of the other. If given a choice I would settle for the danelectro personally because it’s lightweight. But if money allowed then yes I would buy both.
Good video hyce I can't really play guitar but my cheap first act guitar I will never get rid of because my late grandfather bought it for me. Though this video has me looking at guitar center to buy a new banjo and trying it again because it's the instrument that fits my wide squat hands the best. Lol
Ive always played 12 strings. Started out on a Yamaha FG720 (like what you have). After a few years I saved up money and bought a FG820, and I've had that for so many years... 10 maybe? I've spent so much fixing it... Remains my favourite guitar. My favourite sound. I love the sound of a 12 string. I've even named her.
Customs are just the best. The diamond inlay, the gold, the extra trim and binding. It's just awesome. I recently got an Epiphone Koa Custom les paul, its stunning. The coolest gibsons around.
What a beautiful and kick ass collection Hyce. I know what you mean about certain guitars have that magic you feel when you play it. I bought a 65 Gibson Melody Maker from a guy who was parting it out. Everything but the pick guard and tuners are original to the guitar. But yeah when i put it all back together and played my first note there was something special about playing it and its my favorite guitar to actually play. And I have an r8 les paul and a leather wrapped clone of Waylon Jennings telecaster lol
I found myself talking guitar necks and setup with a co-worker a couple days ago. Knew none of it until I had watched this video a day previously. I'm still learning where the frets are on my Squier PB. Thanks for the story!! 🎶💜☺️ PS. This is Beth Carroll from previous comments, I changed my username ☺️
I got it from my mom who bought it around 10 years ago so I’ve seen it for a long time but haven’t been able to really touch it (of course I snuck it out and tried to play it) and have finally been able to have it
What do you. Mean include The Basses. I have a squire P Bass. A slammer. Hamer Bass custom pick guard. Mary wanna leaves. An I have a Peavy 5 string. We played lots of new shit Country. With the floppy B string. Got it free output jack was shit. Put in in good switch craft. ❤️ Bass man 300pounds 11 rears. Love jazz Bass
I do...they had them in toy stores in the early 2000s with a built in speaker was called paper jamz or something like that.....kinda worked by pressing buttons like a rock band controller......I never had one just remember them
The blue is always a nice color and the “black” that shows up always looks nice. I have a blue Ibanez that has the same kind of pattern and it’s a dream to play
Play every day! There's no real wrong way. Playing more, learning new things, playing with other people if you can are all helpful. Record yourself playing and watch it back.
I pretty much exclusively play through my 1980 Marshall Super Lead. 1959 model. I've got a more modern marshall and a smaller 15 watt head but the big dog is the go to.
Hey hyce just in case you don’t see the comment on your main channel I’m pretty sure on the class 70 you can take away the flags by changing the head light
When I was young, I also got an electric guitar for Christmas but it was the worst just the thikkest neck which was super uncomfortable plus the whammy stick being very short and the amp cord constantly falling out of the guitar and I never had a pick to play with so I more played it like a bass guitar and in about a year I sold it
I grew up a th total 80s/90s metalhead....I still have my customized Kramer proaxe super strat style guitar with floyd rose, hot pickups, and a color changing holographic finish, it is the pinnacle of 1980s flashy tacky heavy metal guitars....I looked really really really out of place playing it in a southern rock band for awhile.....we looked like a member of Queensryche was filling in for Lennard Skynyrd LOL!
