Honestly the good thing about Genshin is that you do not need to use the gacha system to complete events or story. The content is not difficult enough to where you need to spend money. Temptation is always there though and playing the same characters gets tiring. Being F2P has its downsides but I've saved 40K Primos as a casual player so it just takes self control imo.

Agreed, the only thing I've spent money on this game for is the Battle Pass, and thats mostly because of the boatload of resources. Got a solid number of 5stars and never once purchased Crystals.
@@theuone8828 honestly, battle pass (the $10 version per 6 weeks) and the $5 monthly Welkin (both if you are willing to at least log daily for 30-60 minutes) is so much better than crystals. Personally, I am happy to pay $15 a month for a game I spend so much time on, but if I was a more casual player, sure maybe not ideal. The game overall is really good IMHO, but yeah it tempts you to whale. It's a mistake to do so unless you are literally rich and willing to spend a bunch just to "max" your characters. Personally, I'm a dolphin, having spent a bit to "catch up", but I find that it's less and less important to whale on characters the longer I play. Just enjoy the game, and everyone wins :)
I completely understand where coming from about not wanting people to donate just for a character. I honestly stopped putting in money because the characters that are out I personally don’t want. I only put money into it when there is a character I absolutely want that I know I don’t have enough fates for them. It also feels way more rewarding to save primogems and fates. I got a lot of my characters from farming and exploring and it’s extremely fun that way. Whatever way works for you is the best way!
Yeah. Mihoyo unfortunately doesn't give enough primogems to just easily pull. I've gotten to the point that I've been lowering my spending. Especially having to pay 300 for Eula, that one made me feel dead inside lol.😅 Thankfully Kazuha was nicer and I got Qiqi second pull, so only had to pay 60 for him. I just like collecting all the characters, but yeah 300 isn't worth it just for one character...

Yes, I bought blessing of the welkin moon first time last month, and main reason why i bought it was because developers inspired me by effort they do for the game. I think it's only real reason to donate - to say thanks. Putting money in one character just for getting him have no sense
Even as an F2P you can pull certain characters without having to put money into the game. And it's a really good thing that 4* characters are just as viable (or maybe even as powerful, hello Bennett) as 5*. I don't put a cent into the game and I'm having tons of fun.
Don't feel guilty, people donate money for you to pull has less to do with you needing characters or anything, it's just entertainment for them to see other people react to the excitement of pulling, fundamentally it's no different than paying money to see a sports event, win win for everyone evolved, I do respect your decision regardless just don't stress out about any of it, it's all fun and games :)
you are right. if she play the game more the character might be worth it, but the reality i feel is she doesn't play it regularly to begin with and so it feel a little pointless and a waste, especially since she will never have the resource to build them, at the rate she is gaining resources, it is better to just commit to a predetermined set, spreading out the game resources on more character would only make her account even more underleveled. she is already having more trouble with content then she should be for her level. i see new character as more of a drain than an asset at this point. the rate in which character are launch in this game, is more or less inline with the max resource you can gain from the game by playing everyday, unless you spend money for boosting the account, it is not practical to pull every character as an occasional player.
I hate when people pressure content creators into pulling and spending their money. Its a video game. If the content creator wants to spend money on the game, and does it with self control, of course they can, but nobody has the right to force someone to pull. I love genshin and Sarah playing genshin, but I don't like when content creators feel forced and trapped. 😊

I always love Sara's streams, she has the best content. Especially FF7 Remake. Her lighting, sound and camera are so professional, I wish others were as nice. The fact that she breaks into a little 9 yr old girls room to shoot her stream each day without getting caught is also an amazing achievement.
Sarah, it was the content we wanted and I have enjoyed very much watching your Genshin journey, so please do not feel overly guilty. You only did what the donos asked of you. That said, I also respect your decision 100% and Genshin is wonderful in that anyone can reasonably beat all the content without spending money, and if you are not getting enjoyment from the pulling, you shouldn't pull. finallyyyy a streamer that gets it. Although it's fine in a sense to gacha because the viewers want it but if you keep doing it you essentially support gambling even if it's indirectly and it's kind of unhealthy. You earn my respect.
When I play the story quest I enjoy it very much, but when I watch Sarah play the story quest I enjoy it even more. Now I'm hype for your Inazuma quest playthrough.

I don't put any money into the game, Genshin is literally the most F2P friendly gacha game i've ever played if you do all the events you can literally just save up for pity and spend smart , you can't get ALL the 5 stars that come out, but when there's one I want or really resonate with, it's not that hard to set aside wishes to pull them from pity, and if I get them before the 180 pity then AMAZING. The only exception is I DO buy the 5 dollar welkin moon a month just because the value is insane

the gacha system is something you have to decided on what you want to pull or not, the game doesn't force you to get those characters cuz this game is free an there's so much to do outside spending money, the open world exploration is amazing an the game has really good in depth level up system, you can play this game as your first time an have a blast, i was a f2p for a few months but i spend some money but not too much since you have to be careful on what you get. no rush on getting everything, it's fun to get some characters and weapons eventually, role playing games are my favorite genre so i really love the story of this game an everything else it has but like i said, the gacha system is something you need to be careful of doing an try not to get too addicted. make this game feel less gacha and more of an experience.
i havent followed your genshincontent that much, but I appreciate your sincerity and your calling to templance. Many things of these world would work better if we were able to moderate our will a little more
I am really proud of you for finally speaking your mind about this. I could tell even in your early streams/clips playing Genshin you weren't super comfortable with spending other people's money for your gachas. I think it takes a lot of courage to say no to this since its so popular right now and I hope you have less stress and guilt playing the game now!
Allegra Clarke is such a great actress with so many amazing roles in games. She's wonderful as Beidou! Also, gacha is grossly predatory and dangerous for the wrong people so I fully support your choice.

I'm just happy that in the Inazuma Quest Beidou is involved and will help out the MC. It proves that some of the 4 Star Characters will be more involved in the story and not just be a side character in the gacha system. Sarah I agree like when it comes to certain characters I want I will spend a little money but when it comes to the new characters like Kazuha for example I will skip because I want to save money and I'm always scared that the roll will not be a guarantee but I know that he'll have a rerun in the future so will Eula and some of the next upcoming characters.

I love seeing you happy and enjoying the game, which probably a majority of your viewers share the same thought. Only pull for the characters YOU LOVE and want in your team, and everyone else will be happy to see your bright smile! If you need to spend to get another pull for that fav character, I'm sure people will want to help or cheer you on in the hopes you get them! Don't feel bad about it, we love and support you all the way!
Honestly, I feel like you don't want to pull on some banner and it is hard to say thank you because of the guilt inside, they are forcing you to pull characters which you don't want to use in your adventure because you like using klee alot and you feel more guilty if you don't use for adventure the characters that you have just pulled for the donators.

Some thing about the new archon quest that might have not been clear!: 1. The vision bearer who joined the Guhua clan is Xingqiu! 2. Lumine during the tournament fights has a pre-build that gives her 7000 atk 0-0 3. Kazuha says we have the essence of "earth and wind" because we can use the powers of Geo and Anemo (the traveler i mean :D) hence why he knew we could use multiple elements. 4. The Musou no Hitotachi is suspected to be the name of the Electro Archon's ultimate :0 5. The Electro vision Kazuha took from his friend may have caused burned on his hands, which might have made him bandage his hand! 6. We smell of stars because the traveler isn't originally from this world as shown in the opening cutscene. 7. The 1000 eye statue may or may not have dead visions (If those resist, the vision hunters) 8. It's been a YEAR (Before the game started) since the Electro Archon stopped blessing those with Electro Visions. 9. The electro archon might take elements from the the goddess of the sun in Japanese mythology Amaterasu, as shown by her being framed by a sun themed glyph behind her in 38:44 \ 10: We learn there are three commissions that essentially govern Inazauma under the control of the Raiden Shogun (Another name for the Electro Archon :D) 11: 38:57 shows a red dot for the sun, a reference to Japan's flag, in which the red dot is supposed to represent the sun That's about all we can get for now... hopefully this helped made the quest easier, and a lot more fun to understand!!! Genshin has some really well written characters. But when I think about "wow this is a great character" on the back of my mind I do think about that they made the character likeable at least partially to encourage people to spend money to get said character. Genshin is one of the most conflicted games I've ever loved. Objectively it has so many great things yet it's my first gacha game and thus has by far the most expensive monetization. I used to think $15 is too expensive for one in game character. Compared with Genshin where you need like $300 to guarantee drop a feature 5*.
Lol, anime archon.... don't worry and only do what you are comfortable with! It's nice that people are willing to give money for you to pull for characters, but if that sort of thing makes you uncomfortable, then just don't do it! It might even make it feel more exciting when you get a character because you aren't spending money for it.
Sometimes in my opinion whaling is a waste of money and im not saying you shouldnt whale, like if you want to whale then thats fine as long as your having fun because games are made for entertainment but just in *my* opinion whaling is a waste of money because youre spending a whole lotta money on fictional characters, and they dont even have any good benefits to your actual life and why whale on characters when you can whale on food 😔👌🏼( jk ) but to all the f2p players out there including myself, you dont need good five stars to win the game, and at the end of the day its just “that” a game, so dont feel sad or dissapointed if you didnt get the character that you wanted
That's why I don't accept gifts. Everyone tries to put strings on everything. People think giving $5 gives them a say in what happens in my life. It's tough to not let that get to you, especially in your position. Hope this works out!
Very good message at the start of the video. It may be content the viewers want but if you, as the content creator, are not okay with it then it is well within your power to set that boundary. I also play this casually and mainly as a F2P. My mentality is that compared to buying limited editions of video games, I gain nothing I can keep physically or otherwise by spending on the game (this one or any other phone game) even after support for the game is over (as in the service closes). More over, spending on the game does not provide worthwhile advantages as doing so does not immediately grant me the character, does not guarantee that I pull the character or even enhance my chances to pull the character from their banner. This may be different in other games but in Genshin there really is no real reason to spend beyond wanting a character sooner than later.
This is a really good message, i wish more people would do the same. Gacha games can be very unhealthy for those with low self-control, while the majority can handle it and won't spend money or spend very casually, a minority will get addicted and spend more than they can afford and ruin themselves, and i feel like giving money to specifically ask someone to gamble can only make things worse for people easily addicted. And let's not forget the minority for a game played by millions can represent tens of thousands of people.
Personally I have stopped pulling with $$ until Christmas, I always get money then and since I still live with my parents I don’t have to worry about going bankrupt. It’s special for me since I can’t get into financial trouble but people that live on there own… please do not spend that much money on games, you can put a few hundred bucks into genshin but NEVER spend more money than you can afford

As someone who does spend money on this game and has spent it on past gacha, I agree with this. Obviously, do what you want and live how you want. If spending money makes the game genuinely enjoyable for you, do so. For me, I spend when I want a character or weapon now, but usually nothing past that. I haven’t developed any dependencies or habits from this, as I really just do it with one goal. But one thing everyone needs to realize is that all these games will eventually come to an end, and all the money you put in, you’re not getting back. So make sure whatever you invest in it, you’ll get a return right then and there. Make sure it’s worth it for you now
I understand as a F2p player don't spend you money for some 3d characters just spend money for the characters you like and character design and it's fine if you don't Pull for kazhua plus I decided to skip him anyways (｡･ω･｡)
