Honestly, I feel like if you’re not Asian but really want to debut because you feel as though you’d make it bigger in K-Pop than any other sort of celebrity/singer, then you need to acknowledge a few things beforehand. 1. You’re not special because you’re not Asian. You should train for just as long as any other artist. 2. You need to educate yourself on the culture first. It’s probably VERY different from yours, and if you’re gonna be working in this field, you should know how to act. 3. You can’t be a koreaboo. What’s the point of training for so long if in the end you hate your own race and wish to be korean. It makes no sense. Many more things, but if you learn the culture and the language and train for the same amount of time as Korean trainees and put in the same amount as effort, I really don’t see race as an issue. If this is your passion, go for it. Sincerely, a white person kind of thinking of auditioning if I can get the chance ;-;

She had 2 years of training, but she’s still unstable, but it’s her debut, and you guys can’t be like “well my favs debuted with stable vocals”, well that’s your fav, we’re talking about lana here.

honestly think she needs more traning. as a person who wants to take the same path I expect at least 4 years of training to be polished enough. she lacks .. everything apart from visuals and the 25% AsIan heritage. she could have been a model if they wanted to debut her so fast. I mean she’s a soloist, it’s easy to hear and point out her flaws.

I really damn wish she had more training, like if you wanted to debut as a soloist in the kpop industry as a caucasian why don't you take as much time to train and prepare for your debut like most other idols do. In my opinion taking the damn time to at least train as long as your superiors did just as like a sign of respect I guess would be A LOT BETTER.

And abt the training,she trained for two years! There are idols who trained for 1 week or 5 months so you can’t really go off on it by the training time czz the company decides when you gonne debut yk! But i just hope that she really wanted to be a kpop idol to express her talent and just to be an idol and not to be a koreaboo and etc yk! (There’s always room for improvement)

I think people dislike her because shes not East Asian. Most idols who are half Asian tend to have was asian blood in them and thats why they get love and support and occasionally some hate.

JYP ( or was it YG? ) said that Koreans companies tend to have foreigners just catch their countries attention or the best way to for other people to listen to them because of their own kind is there.
