Some people try to use the fear of loneliness as a scare tactic towards those choosing to live childfree. But there is a big difference between experiencing loneliness when it's something you choose and accept.
Regardless of what we want, it's still disrespectful to tell someone they'll die alone because they don't want kids. How do people have the audacity to say such things directly to our face?!
I'm a happy, single, middle age woman. I'm happy being childfree. I don't regret not having kids. I have a few childfree friends, who are also my workmates. I have 1 big rescue dog & a few cats. I don't get lonely. I can be with people & I can be alone. Either way, I'm happy. I avoid places, to socialise, where families go. We have found a quiet hotel to socialise in. This is a few kilometres out of town. We go there on weekend nights. They cater to mostly adults. They have live bands on friday & saturday nights. There's no 'kids eat free' with adults promotions. So, this is great. I love being childfree. I love my freedom.😊👍😸🐶♥️
Beautifully said! Raising children is not something you say "Well, maybe I'll try it.", nah , having children is a serious life changing thing, and shouldn't be forced on anyone. I mentioned that many of us are mature enough to know what we want, and our capacities.
@@angel-ij4xv at least now finally people are realizing that type of lifestyle is a burden, a burden that prematurely ages and causes severe stress , taking care of a grown-a$$ person is stressful but adding kids to it only makes things worse
I am single/unmarried and childfree all by choice. I am NOT worried about aging and dying alone. Aside from having children, I think that having a life partner is selfish because people are too insecure and miserable as singles. Having a life partner is all for selfish reasons which disgusts me.
As a Childfree Indigenous man I have seen firsthand loneliness drive former high school classmates to make kids to have some sort of meaning and sadly for social media clout. Where I am from children learn to drink and do drugs as a young as 12 and I am grateful I am never going to have them due to the nonstop dysfunction and preventable chaos here. To any lonely childfree people out there, be humbled and grateful you are not in a relationship to a alcoholic or drug addict because the amount of dysfunction here is self caused via addicted parents breeding like rabbits for government benefits. I have a cousin whom left her 3 daughters with my grandmother, 2 of them she abused physically and caused vision problems in the second oldest. It can always be worse...
Loneliness should never be a reason to have children. However, as a society, with or without children, we are becoming more and more lonely, therefore I think it is so important we build communities. I'm an atheist, but a church community that comes together for those in trouble or those sick/disabled is something that I would love to see in child-free communities. But how can we create such communities? I'd love to have a forum/online space where we come together, meet each other, share ideas, vent off, become friends and a part of a kind community. 🥰
@@angel-ij4xv I actually think we should step away from this idea of ‘virgin’ and stop using the word. Our society is too obsessed about sex and numbers. Some conservative cultures see the hymen as a sign of virginity - while not all women have it or it doesn’t break with sex etc. Ancient Egyptians didn’t even have the word virgin because it wasn’t a thing - as it should it. ❤️
@@angel-ij4xv I was a virgin at 37 until I met the woman I knew I was going to marry. Now that I'm 47 I will tell you that while it's great it's very overrated.
Love your videos how could two people be alone if they are in relationship together childfree people are in relationships togetyou are awesome and perfectly val😂in you're childfree
I don't understand why some parents think there child is going to be a long time companion kids grow up and have a life of there own especially if they were not a good parent to their children people need to learn how to be alone and focus on themselves
