I am a childfree man. I saw that there is no reason to ever have children, but there are tons of reasons not to. Stagnating wages, union-busting, extreme inflation, unaffordable rents and never buying a house has made the male expectation of being a "provider" impossible for the majority of men. Now AI will automate away so many jobs and the job hunting process is getting more complicated and messed up every day.
My choice of being childfree is not just because of my disability being born mildly autistic but also due to the drama I have had to endure and the amount of bad parenting I have seen in my life and children suffering in the worId. I for a time did want to pass my name down to a child but little did I know how much of a burden I would have on my head if I was to have a child. Every word you just said absolutely inspired me keep posting more childfree videos. Childfree All The Way!
I love what he said about a legacy that doesn't involve a child carrying on your surname. As a child free woman who doesn't want to give up my surname if I were to get married, I prefer having a legacy of creating art.
Men are taught to be providers and protectors??? Absolutely not because I am too much of of an introvert. I like being single/unmarried and childfree because I can provide and protect for myself, I can focus on my wants, needs, goals and achievements. I don’t wanna do that for anyone else but myself and society considers that selfish. I beg to differ because people have life partners and children all for selfish reasons.

Most men ideas of legacy tend to be grandiose in nature. Met to many out of shaped miserable men who think their offspring will do something groundbreaking. Truth is they will be forgotten quickly.

Off topic but on the toxic masculinity, reminds me of the men whose channels I’ve seen which is exactly what you’re describing. It’s uncomfortable and ugly on the outside. That’s not how a stable man or person behaves in when it comes to relationships or a marriage. From the women’s perspective, I don’t get why anyone would still love a person who believes and treats them like they are inherently more worthy than you. Even though we all tend to think more from our heart than our head and want to be more giving where you can when you’re love someone, wouldn’t that behavior towards you make you fall out of love and be done with them? Besides, I’m sensing more abusive tendencies there.
