I 100% think the battery should start on. I cannot tell you how many games I have played as Leatherface and had to go start the battery myself because my teammates don't go turn it on. I usually feel obligated to play as someone else now so that it gets done every match.

Honestly doesn't even feel worth it to run out there and turn the battery on, victims rush so fast you're just wasting time to do it.

i play hitchhiker so i'll do it when i'm with cook, but so many times i get a sissy that wont do it and it fks me up because i cant trap the places i need to prevent rushing

I'll be glad when it starts on by default. I've died a couple times because I made it to that exit and without looking whether the battery was on. I made the assumption it was and instead of turning it off, I turned it on. Killers being lazy resulted in my death 😂

The only issue I see with Johnny also having padlocks is if you have a match with both Johnny and Cook 6 total padlocks around the map is wild, but agreed Johnny definitely needs some sort of utility. Just not sure as to what.

I think he should be able to go through gaps and such when he is following tracks (so only obstacles marked by tracks).

I thought about this, but honestly it would be fair. Because a Johnny/Cook team with 6 padlocks now has NO character to chase through wall cracks and crawlspaces. I think that is a fair tradeoff.

Sweet, was waiting for this video and here it is. :D My biggest want for balance changes atm is slowing the matches down somehow. It often takes longer to get a match going than it does playing one out. Also, the fuse box absolutely needs some sort of counter play for the family (besides face camping cause camping isn't fun for any one) or they need to make sure the fuses spawn further away.

agitator max level makes you take 4 levels from grandpa, i understand the reason to exist is to counter harvester family members that can get grandpa to like lvl 3 in the first few minutes of the game but, on teams without dedicated harvesters, is basically forget about your grandpa perks, because you will not get use of them lol, there needs to be a balance there

One of my ideas of making Johnny better would him having the mechanic to grab/pull someone who's about to go through to a crawl spaces and gaps. Basically this, the victim just started the animation of using a crawl space/wall gap and as Johnny we get a small period to press a button (idk ■/X maybe) to grap them. And it makes sense since he's a strong dude. And that's already a mechanic in the game for that actually. But is for hidding spots, the entire family can grab/pull someone who's about to go in a hidding spot. If anyone want to see this idea to Gun Media. Do it! Haha!

Exit doors should be highlighted for 5 seconds when an exit is opened. The amount of times I’ve got lost in the basement trying to find the exit door is insane.

For the agitator perk, i think itd be cool if the first stab decreases 1 level, then the 2nd stab 2 levels, and the 3rd stab 3 levels.

You mean like without agitator, you just stop his sonar from going off for a while, but then with the perk you lower his lvl by what lvl your perk is as well as stopping his sonar. I would actually be ok with this tbh.

TLDR: sorry XD I agree with mostly what you said Sledge some things I disagree on are: - Barricade I-Frames, I think they are fine, but what I am not okay with is how they work when a family member is on the other side of a barricade and you have to awkwardly wait for them to get up first before you hit them, its kind of stupid. - Fusebox needs some kind of counterplay, maybe family should be able to instantly turn it off when activated or make it like valve so while it takes like 20 seconds to power the door open during that time a family member can turn it off and if they don't they have to way. Also the fusebox escape door should be wider to compensate cuz body blocking without attacking looks silly. - I think the gas station door should have something else to make it riskier. it's just way too safe. Maybe an alarm goes off when you go to that area so a nearby family member can actually defend it and I would change the generator location, maybe put it in the corner so that you can hear it being kicked but its gonna be harder to get to it and when its kicked they are out making it easier and viable to do the gen as the gen is just so poorly placed that it even screws over cooks ability. - I like all the perks to be honest, only ones I don't like is Sissy's rubber legs but that's probably a bug making her practically an instakill character. The one that lowers grandpa's lvl is super controversial. Personally in tech test I thought that grandpa should not ever lose lvls but just be stunned for a while but because blood harvesting is its own stat with perks its a little better. As family is the power role I believe they should be able to feed grandpa faster than he can lose lvls. as to balance end game out. It's super frustrating going around collecting blood, waiting 2+ min for blood to respawn and maybe you get grandpa to lvl 3 only for a random Leland to undo all your progress for potentially the rest of the game. The math is just so victim favoured in that scenario it needs to be changed, not that its the most broken perk but its purpose is overtuned, I would rather it be based on blood instead of lvls so grandpa loses 50-75-100 blood instead of lvls being 100 blood each. Family changes: I agree everything on Johnny but other than that I think all the family members are fine in terms of power and speed. I just think Sissy and Cook's stats should change, Cook should literally have the highest blood harvesting as he is literally the cook so let him cook. You can maybe lower his savgery to account for this but all family members have more or less base stats than one another so its not a big deal especially when considering his horrendous speed. Sissy in turn should have her blood harvesting lowered and maybe have her endurance increased to compensate. Make one Leatherface's lvl 3 abilities do something like break obstacles faster, I think it can be fun. Victim changes: Julie and Sonny's stats should be changed, Sonny is mean to be the stealthy smart boi but he doesn't feel like it, have him have high stealth but lower endurance and Julie have higher endurance but lower stealth. Also for some damn reason when sonny uses his "meant to be quiet" ability he literally can be heard by the Family which defeats the purpose of the ability so that needs to be changed and maybe rework his ability to something like for 20-30 seconds you can do actions that make noise silently and/or bone scrap and unlock tools are scavenged faster. I think bone scrap should also be unlimited cuz its fine but idk not too big of a deal, we trynna get maximum grandpa stabs out here, can't do that when you run out of grandpa stabbing tools. Door stuns: maybe make it so the door breaks if slammed too much, if that takes away the fun then revert it but idk its kind of annoying playing a game of chicken next to every door against a good victim its kind of dumb when it feels like victim can open/slam door earlier than a family member can. Map changes: I think gas station and slaughterhouse should have windows like family house, it makes it more interesting and actually gives value to that one granpa perk. Gas station that middle loop gap feels awful change it to a barricade or something. Family house needs to do something with the valve exit, no one uses it because its too hard to do, its hard to find the pressure as it could be inside the house area or outside, maybe make it only spawn inside but requiring to go outside to use it. hiding spaces are underused, maybe give them a little more utiltity somehow, maybe burst out happens instant instead of powering up.

Maybe Johnny can have an ability that lets him tape shut the fuse box or pressure tank so that victims have to make noise or get delayed taking the tape off slowly. It wouldn't be an OP ability and would be similar to cook's pad locks.

I main victim and I agree the battery should start on. I can escape in a minute with the right character. I also think the opening cut scene for family should be shorter

My problem with agitator is like... grandpa exists there as a sort of time pressure as victims leave the game (by death or escape). With agitator you stab grandpa once with your instant animation that can't be interrupted and suddenly you've reset the entire game. You know? I'd think a perk like that would just have grandpa be incapacitated for an obnoxious amount of time instead.

1) Car - Agree with sledge 2) Gramps - Agree with sledge 3) Gaps - Agree with sledge 4A) Fusebox - Agree with sledge (we 4 man murder on those 2 maps most of the time only time people get our is barley from fuse box and normally we kill all but 1. Also leather face can body block the basement exit so it is fine because he can do that) 4B) Station Backdoor - make the generator in a better spot and keep the door the same 5) Door slams - Disagree, I think it should break the door so you cannot slam it again, but keep it the same besides that. (The issue with door slam is forcing 2 people to be in one spot opens up everything. Having them as one use still gives you power to delay but you cannot do it infinite but only a finite amount.) 6) Perks - Agreed with sledge on No Sell(it is needed because of leather face 1 shot and any other chars can get the 3 charges off easy), Choose flight I am on the fence but atm I say it is fine, Agitator needs a change: level 1 gramps no longer outlines you, level 2 lower level by 2, level 3 delay gramps scream/ability for longer. This would decrease the 4 levels loss but give utility. 7) Leatherface - Agree with sledge 8) Johnny I think they should change him to where a victim he hit in last x seconds leaves a blood trail that Jonny can track he activates it instantly, then they can change the buff how fast ability comes back, how long blood trails last, and how long the ability last 9) Sissy - Agree with sledge maybe ( I felt it needed nerfed before but after playing without pc players for a couple days I fell the PC players was hacking and I didn't know since it was saddle) 10) Cook - Agree with Sledge 11) Hitchhiker - Agree with Sledge hitch hiker is amazing 12) Connie - Agree with Sledge hitch + cook no connie it is impossible to win P.S. hitch hiker that puts trap on crack to get to front window are great at stopping window jumps P.S. that trap on slaughter house gotten me so many kills!!!

for perk aggitator i mean they could nerf to make it so tier 2 3 just make it so you have a chance too keep youre bone shard for 40% at level 3 and level one can only make you bring grandpa level down by only 2 levels everytime.

I was playing leather face and there was this Leland that had a perk where after the killer is stunned they move super slow so I got door slammed and was unable to escape no matter how hard I tried

I guess sledge plays survivor more on TCM. He needs to see the plight of poor bubba's in basement Nowadays get shanked left and right 😂. This is more hilarious after PC players got separated and now 15mins are spent waiting for bubba player to start the game 😅 as no one wants to get shanked repeatedly.

Yea i play hitchhiker main too, run scout, the +7 savage n 20% dmg on full blood, when get 3 of 3 on all 3 perks get 15% speed, 5% dmg n 7 more to savagery n i run the trapped show to family for 3rd trap level lotta fun

Instead of Agitator existing, maybe make it basekit that everytime grandpa is stabbed the bond is decreased by 1 level only

My only suggestion for Connie's ability would be to maybe have it start on cooldown so you can't just leave the basement whenever you feel like it, but that also might be elevated by not locking the family in a cutscene while victims are moving around.

As a victim main I completely disagree with the cooks locks needing to be stronger , even without Connie they don’t take much longer to pick and as long as you don’t try and get it all in one go and take your time it’s not a problem at all, I find the fuse box exit to be the easiest to hit in every map and there 100% should be a slight delay before the door opens so the family can have a better chance at preparing for that situation, I find myself hitting the fuse box a lot as a distraction to draw family members away from other exits, I think the gas station door exit really does make the generator useless to even go for when you can just go pick the one door and not have to sit there and kick the generator off, I feel really bad when I’m being chased by leatherface and the cutscene happens and he stalls out I think that should not happen at all, Agitator I don’t think needs messed with I run it on Leland and here lately I’ve noticed the family just doesn’t even mess with grandpa unless there’s like 2 victims left, there’s a common issue I’ve been seeing where people who main Johnny immediately come into the basement to try and apply pressure with leather face , in theory that’s not a terrible idea but if the other family member left upstairs is the cook that’s the worst possible idea, I’ve had a Johnny come in the basement with leatherface and while he’s down there with leatherface im upstairs looping the cook around while my other teammates get multiple different areas opened up, overall I think this game is fairly balanced for the most part

When it comes to proposing balance changes for this game, I think such a topic needs to be approached from three angles: 1. Does the change fit Gun’s design goals for the game (Those being the game centered around FUN, not high level competition)? 2. Would the change be fixing something that’s an ACTUAL issue with the game? Or am I just being entitled & trying to get certain things I don’t like reworked/removed so that I can increase my win rate. 3. Do I main a side? That could influence one’s thought process & interfere with their ability to think about things objectively in regards to balance. Also, this isn’t pertaining to balance, but as a future video idea, I’d be really interested in seeing you rank all the exits on every map in a tier list, similar to the tier lists you made for Evil Dead when you were covering that game.

I think Johnny to make him more viable would be to give him a perk where he can break the Leather Face pallets. To balance maybe it would take a bit longer than Leather Face but I don't know thats just my idea.

Because he can't go through wall gaps or crawl spaces, so his chase isn't as good as Hitchhiker's, but his tracking isn't as good as Cook's either, so... Yeah, he definitely needs something

I always play quick match so I’ve played both sides probably equally. I believe it’s balanced for the most part but I also think it’s way to easy to escape. Not sure what I’d change tho

the door on gas station could just be linked to the generator like the gates are. the fusebox should be able to turn off/disabled after certain amount of time or allow killers to be able to shut the physical door itself could be a solution.

@@freestyler_6877 I’m aware of it being family sided. With the context of the video, I provided simple solutions to what he was discussing. It’s only family sided and should always lean that way. When Victims know what they are doing, it can be easy to escape. I play victim 80 percent of the time and only play killer now because of cross play being disabled. I don’t view this game competitively so I’m not concerned about this stuff being changed. Just hate playing a match that lasts 3-5 minutes to enter a queue that lasts 3-5 minutes.

@@freestyler_6877 games shouldn’t be balanced for competitive play. if you want that, play dbd. They’ve been trying to balance that game for years and it’s more stale than bread. TCM has a unique balance with either side snowballing. I’d prefer the snowballing to be minimized for both sides.

@@freestyler_6877 never said dbd was balanced. They struggle to balance the game to the point that it became stale. TCM requires teamwork for both sides to win, making it easier to snowball and near impossible to balance for solo queue. TCM will not be able to find a perfect balance. Should always lean towards the killers, especially when a competent team of victims leaves in 3 minutes. The game should be balanced by making the game last longer for both sides. I think Victim abilities should start on a cooldown. If the basement level took longer to escape, killers would have time to turn things on before the match begins. I’d like more counterplays to be done in these matches. If leatherface beets you to a fuse box door, he should be able to slam it shut. It’s not hard to escape from any exits when they are opened. My main issue with the game is the fact my queue times are longer than my matches since Connie won’t ready up.

One question regarding Leatherface. Why does he not use stamina to attack like the rest of the family? I mean, chainsaws are heavy as hell. I’m okay with the design choice in the grand scheme of things, but I’d love to know the reasoning

My problem with Connie is not her ability it is her stealth. She needs to be slowed down from grabbing tools out of the boxes instantly. Most victim issues are from their stats being too complimentary. A tough character having stamina is also too complimentary. Each character should have a primary stat and a secondary stat that are non-complimentary. I.E. Stealth and Strength; Proficiency and Toughness; Endurance and Strength, Etc. (And if I were the design team, I'd correspond the ability to the stat. Connie- Proficiency, Leland-Strength, Anna-Toughness, Julie- Endurance, and Sonny- Stealth.)

I always thought that sonny should have been the proficiency victim and connie the stealth one. At least then, connie's ability would be more balanced considering the fact that when using a lockpick without her ability, she wouldnt be as fast (like how she currently opens doors in like 10 seconds anyway). Also, sonny is said to be an intellectual, so why is his proficiency low?

@tylerdunn8579 The stealth stat doesn't affect lockpicking. It affects doing noisy actions like searching for tools, gathering bone shivs, opening crawlspaces?, and turning the pressure handle? The last two are stupid and should be strength based. Connie, having high stealth, gives her the ability to grab tools silently whenever she wants, and her proficiency allows her to pick every lock on the map. It should be one or the other. Slow tool gathering but great at picking locks or slow lock picking and fast tools, not both.

I only have two victim games in 70 hours and I don't agree with half of these changes, I only agree with the grandpa cutscene and the battery. And I think that to balance the gas station door they could remove the gaps there, so the victim who chooses to go through that exit has the risk of having no escape if seen. Leatherface, Hitchhiker and Cook are fine, they don't need any changes, however, Jhonny is really weak and Sissy seems to be a little strong.

I think the gas station door could be boarded up some matches and others it’s not so it’s more of a risk if you want to go check it or not for victims

I super don't agree with Connie not being OP. Her downside is completely negligible, The only times having zero stamina would actually be a negative is when you're already being chased or if the killer for absolutely no reason whatsoever doubles back to a gate they already patrolled. Even the most adept killer isn't gonna be able to patrol fast enough to find/stop Connie from either turning off the generator or picking the lock before they catch her on Gas Station. And if they're sloppy or get distracted by another then victim she's just gone. It's annoying looking away for one second and then Connie's gone. Keep the insta-break but make it hearable across the entire map. you don't even need to keep the stamina debuff.

I have only played as victims. Just my opinion but I always felt like Johnny and Sissy were the strongest characters. Cook just doesn't seem that threatening to me and Hitchhiker is strong but I dont think as strong as people make it seem. I play mainly Julie whom many consider weak but her ability is good because you can run longer meaning you have more time to run/hide since Julie has the best stealth. Because her stealth is so high i usually can get any items without making any noise at all and fast!

The victims shouldn't start until the family's cutscene is over, and spamming the escape button to escape the restraints should do damage.

@Rj-pw7zs Not if they actually utilize the mechanic of either breaking out of the restraints quickly or stealthily. Right now everyone just spams the button because there is no consequence. There is no point to it being there. And there are multiple exits from each starting cell, some of which Leatherface can't use. God forbid there actually be a chase at the start of the game rather than everyone rushing out of the basement in thirty seconds.

I’m noticing a lot of survivors escaping within a few minutes lately. Playing as a family member is just generally frustrating now. I think an obvious family buff would be to require less blood to max out grandpa

I dont play Family much but Johnny either needs utility or better tracking, fix Rubber Legs, Cook is fine as is. No sell is fine, people forget it only has 3 stacks which can be stripped away almost instantly. Wouldnt be against some kind of connie nerf but also dont think its a must

I've only seen inexperienced family members get caught by doors. If you think if it in terms of dbd, the door is a type of mind game. You run up, but don't get close enough to the door so that when they open it on you, you don't get hit. Then rush through.

Victim has priority to slam door over family, I think this is the main concern for me (when a victim try to slam the door on you, you cannot slam it back as a family character, but they can slam it again faster). Anyway to me they should remove the slam stun and balance the game around everything else. The game made more sense when we were not aware of it imo.

Personally I've not had too many issues with how both sides play. The Gas station exit imo only needs a metal electrified plate just outside of the door to make it equal to every other exit. That and maybe making leatherface the only family member to not get stunned by doors like how Leland cannot knock him over.

Exactly like I feel for the most part the game is pretty balanced I just feel like people hyper focus on that one game where they got washed really bad and that’s what they base their opinions on the game on, but they ignore the game where they have maybe one death on victim and they get a clean escape or the game on family where they kill most if not all victims which is usually the norm

"I dont get hit by the door thing" There are several rooms that are considered safe rooms because of this. If they reach this room youre either suppose to walk away or kill the door when they leave it. Theres no way they intentionally made the game this way. Simple solution, break the door after so many uses

I can confirm the door slam is a problem (I truly have split time between family and victim ~ 70Hrs+), my suggestion is that after a door slam they take a couple seconds to get back up and that’s enough, it’s not like stabbing them in the back where it should inhibit them in my opinion, the animation after laying on the ground from a door stun is excessive especially if they keep doing it to you consistently

The reason that most of the changes were for the family side is because, to put it bluntly, victim is overwhelmingly strong, especially on slaughter house or gas station. Against victims that are decent, the only map they even have a chance in is family house. You are trying to "both sides" (maybe not even both sides, more just stick my fingers in my ears and pretend there is no problem) this when simply put it does not work here, because one side is so much stronger than the other. I just don't buy that the game is family sided at the high level and even if it is, the majority don't play at the high level. From every piece of evidence I can see, victim is just stronger and easier than family. I mean don't you think it is a little weird that almost all your hypotheticals are contingent on being on the family house, the only map the family has some agency in (no I don't think gas station is good for family, just less bad than slaughter house).

I have to respectfully disagree with the Sissy take. She's currently bugged applying poison on every hit and it stacks. I agree with everything else you mentioned though. Awesome assessment!

honest we should buff and nerf for both sides i hate one sided nerfs or one sided buffs for me i want buffs for bad perks the fact a grapple grandpa perk only effects the user and not the other family member other than leatherface is pretty dumb but yeah, i say both sides are pretty balance for now in things like solo q but even now the game isn't in a position where buffs and nerfs need too happen or the game will die, just simple changes like bug sissy hits and fixing perks so they work.

There's perks that could be changed entirely for both sides because of how little ANYONE would want to use them. One example being a rubber boots perk for family that makes them immune to the electrified flooring at the exits. While another for survivors being something like seeing all tool/boneshiv locations after jumping down a well? Survivors don't have too many "useless" perks while family has a ton that you need dedicated characters and the like for.

With the exit in gas station, ive seen a hh latch the door and place a trap by the gap, while the cook pad locked it. People just want to play on easy mode all the time.

They need to roll back this awful patch first and foremost. 6 player matches was a brain dead change. Turning off crossplay on the live build of the game to make changes to the in house build was a brain dead change. 5 minute lobby timer was an absolutely stupid change. The game is fundamentally broken right now.

There’s needs to be grandpa buffs because nobody feeds him enough and by the time he’s maxed the last survivor or multiple survivors are already out and the stealth is so broken and boring I spent most of the game looking for them every time and then when I do finally spot them their already escaping or are outside the exits when unlocked waiting forcing you to watch them escape this whole game is starting to feel like dbd all over again it’s not fun it’s a snooze fest spending most the game finding nobody

Family house is very family sided, but gas station being any sided is a bit of a reach imo. Gas station is a toss up. If family makes a single mistake its over. If victims make one mistake they can usually reset very quickly because the wells being very close together. Any bum rush to gas station front exit is simply far to easy. You carry two picks and everyone else carrys bone shards. Body block the final door and leave the moment the door opens. On top of that, cook cant hear that entire area because of the generator. Honestly a poor design all togeather

You can walk though sissy and hitch hiker, you cannot move leather face. Johnny / cook you can but you have to walk into them for like 10 sec then it finally gives enough room. Overall I think it is fine. It forces someone to go into basement so I tend to open basement and push a different exit versus good teams.
