Censorship in music, television, and movies is nothing new. It's been around forever.
But the combination of big corporations engaging in exclusive rights deals and massive mergers, documentaries changing the cultural conversation on celebrity figures, and social media giving a platform to people to voice their frustrations over anything they deem to be offensive, we're living in a world of trigger happy censorship.
And with people owning less and less physical media, that could spell doom for any piece of entertainment that's considered to be problematic or inappropriate.
So gather 'round--it's time to talk about censorship in entertainment...and why it's a big problem.
