I’ve noticed we love to use brushes too big for our faces. When you start getting smaller brushes that allow you more precise application, your makeup looks so much better. I’ve also started using brushes to apply skincare and primer and, MAN, I don’t know why I didn’t think to do it sooner. It buffs products into the skin so much better, much like it does makeup.

In the U.S we use Zote laundry soap. It’s just a few bucks and it works so well. Another great one I’ve found (and I’ve found soap bars last way longer than a liquid) is the Shea Moisture bars of soap. They clean everything to brand new (brushes, sponges, velour pads) without having a copious amount of suds that are never ending and stuck in the very base of the brush that you can’t ever get completely out😂 Shea Moisture washes everything clean, even removes staining (particularly the African black soap if you have a lot of deep stains) but all clean beautifully, rinse out quickly so you don’t have to rinse for 900 hours to remove all the suds and they leave no residue behind like a lot of brush cleaners and soaps tend to do.

Zoeva, Sephora Pro, BH Cosmetic, AOA bundles, Sonia Kashuk, Moda (specifically the electric set) Milani face brushes are pure perfection much like the Flower face brushes Milani(eye brushes suck) Eco Tool eye brushes especially for smaller eyes are fantastic and affordable, Flower brushes are great, some Real Tech are really good, some not so good, Elf clear handle brushes (can’t stand the black ones because the handles always fall off and the bristles are essentially fishing line which you see clearly when you wash them.) I have super expensive luxury brand brushes and cheap of the cheap and I typically find the less expensive brushes like Sonia Kashuk to be softer and more grabbed for on a daily basis, even over my Tom Ford Marc Jacob Smashbox and all those which tend to be more prickly to the skin.

The Anisa Brush Shampoo works for me. Cleans thoroughly, and rinses easily. I don't see it on their site right now though. The Quick Dry is great for in-between cleaning.

I left Australia 18 years ago and Sard Wondersoap sticks are still at the top of my shopping list when I go home…. 🇦🇺…. Next stock up when I’m back in May 💛💚 I also use Leif the Australian botanical soaps brand for my favourite and more delicate brushes.

I use Shea Moisture black soap, or Charcoal actually any Shea moisture soap is great! It deep clean quickly! Easy to rinse. Brushes look as good as new. No make up left behind!

Girl I just posted the same thing!😂 You can’t beat it for a brush, puff and sponge cleaner, and it’s the most cost effective. I didn’t know of anyone else who found this. Zote I have to try to see if that works better, but I honestly don’t see how anything could. Shea Moisture rinses clean extremely quick and doesn’t leave a residue like so many do, but makes it squeaky clean breaking down makeup bringing the tool back to brand spankin new

i use fairy washing up liquid to wash my brushes, and baby oil to get stains off

Makeup artists even suggest a dish soap over so called brush cleaners for deep cleaning. Sam and Nik from RT even said the brush cleaners are gimmicky for profit and not needed
@lavayuki

@@Rue994 I agree, especially as how expensive makeup brush cleansers are and how much you need to use... you could probably get like 5 bottles of dish soap for the cost of one makeup brush cleanser. Baby oil or even olive oil to remove stains is also super cheap and effective.

Hi girls. Great video. I'm so upset I missed you guys live. I found you through Martina. I love using baby shampoo to clean my brushes coz it is always such a gentle formula, I sometimes get the 2in1 shampoo and conditioner and it makes them so soft. Its never hurt any of my many brushes. And I found out a fantastic trick for a real deep clean for really stained brushes is that you mix your liquid soap with coconut oil. say a table spoon of each then water , just enough to cover the brustles and I let them sit for 5-20 minutes then i wash as normal with just soap. Thats just to get all the oil off. You'll know if you used too much oil coz it just takes a bit to get the oily feel out of the brush. I found that technique is great for my natural haired brushes. It conditions them so nicely. But I do need to play around with that a bit more. so I usually just use baby shampoo. I just thought i'd share. Love you guys xoxo

I missed the chat😢. About the Singe brushes, I only bought the eye brushes but did not like them. The hair is too long and it’s makes it hard to apply eyeshadow the way I like to do it.

BK and Rose and Ben are my favorite brands of brushes hands down, but the Rose and Ben are much better at not absorbing product. I don’t know how she did it, but her brushes don’t eat product like all the other brush brands do that I’ve had and I’ve owned brushes from damn near every brand, inexpensive and luxury.

Why are high end brushes so poky? I prefer the drugstore and Amazon finds on brushes because they are much softer and you can find any shape for a fraction the price. You typically are just buying the name. Even the It Cosmetics aren’t as good as the originals. I love when people show their assorted brush collection or their most grabbed for brushes vs sets of high end brands. Most people have a mixture of brush types shapes and brands.

It does have a weird smell. Don't really know what it is but it's there. I dont hate the smell but I don't love it. I think its the ubselite. however you spell it, but that new inovating ingredient. Its in her balm powder, and that the smell I think, it is a different smell but just an ingredient smell. Your not going crazy Blair. xoxo
