I agree with trying to save money on soil too. Most of your container gardening takes place in early to late spring (depending on your area). By late June and early July, you're in maintenance mode to make sure that your annuals look good. Summer is also when you have to supervise all perennials that are going into the ground. Most of your summer gardening is really just keeping things watered. All of my containers need to be watered AT LEAST every other day. Even with huge containers, weekly fertilization that promotes flowers all season also means that your containers fill up quicker, forcing you to need to water more often.

The tips are amazing thank you so much..i'm pretty new to gardening so every little helps..i'm a tea drinker here in the UK but ill go buy some coffee filters now to put into my pots for next year... thank you ...
