I've tried so hard to make that foundation work because Gobi is the most perfect shade match I've ever found for my fair-light warm olive skin (it's even a little bit too light, at least in the summer, and that's usually never the case with shades that actually match my undertones), but my skin just doesn't wanna play nice with it 😭 and neither do any of the other Nars foundations that come in that shade - they're fine, but none of them look amazing on me, which is weird because my skin is pretty normal aside from the hormonal acne that I get about 2 weeks out of every 4, but even then my skin isn't oily.

I use samples to test shades and formulas. I don’t *like* them because they can be messy but I use, but they are fun to put in my travel bag to play with while traveling.

I LOVE samples! I did a video about 2 years ago about samples that sold me the full size. Big enough samples can really sell or deter me. Those little swatch foundation ones from Tarte? Not enough. One of those pods that's enough for a full face? I can get enough from that to tell. I've also done a video of a full face of samples and it was so much fun!

I love this style of video, trying a bit of new everything. We get to see lots of products in use and hear your first impressions, and you don't need to do a dedicated video for every product you use. So hopefully, less work than usual for you, I'd call that a win win xx

I use the little bottles of samples because I can bring them with me for travelling and use it for a few days, but not so much for foil packets (I don't like anything liquid in plastic/foil packagings). I love mini lipsticks and blushes because I never use up any color cosmetics!

That was A LOT of foundation! 😅 I have the NARS Soft Matte and it can work as a medium coverage foundation if you don’t use too much. It wears beautifully throughout the day too! I only started appreciating foundation samples when I received some from Lisa Eldridge. I like that she allows you to choose around what shade range you’re in, so you can really assess which is your best match.

On camera the foundation looks perfect on you. The only samples at sephora that I use is the skincare and when they have one single eyeshadows from Natasha Denona. I bought the Naruto red supershock waiting for it to come from ulta. I don’t know why I buy huda’s stuff and then I never use them like wtf! 😂😂😂Have a great weekend coming everyone❤ P.S. Nars Soft Matte Foundation is one of my favourites longwearing ones i have ever tried! I apply it with fingers and then i press it with a beauty blender, don't need any powder!

naruto, the Japanese version with English subtitles is available for free on youtube with ads. but the English version is on both hulu and netflix. my boyfriend watched it while we were in the hospital, when i was in labor, lol.

I like to get samples of things I want to try because often that way I can make up my mind and not waste money. But often if there are just random samples I don't want I avoid them. And pro tip to sealing samples is with a bobby pin.

I'm like you, I totally bypass the samples. More trouble than they are worth IMO. I just try the minis first! Also, I had the GXVE bronzer duo but could not handle the baby powder smell. I hope Gwen reformulates without that smell. It didn't ever fade away on me. Couldn't take it 😢😢😢

I love a “lipstick scent” on my makeup. I also don’t mind an herbal/green scent or a chemical scent as long as it is the smell of a formula. Gourmand scents or baby powder scents make me gag.

I use the sachet samples for travel usually... but to be honest, I rarely receive samples like that for color cosmetics. It would not be a fun experience to have only sachet foundations and realizing it is not the right shade :D - but if I had the opportunity to swatch in store beforehand, I would bring it, too (the only thing I would not do is lippie samples in sachet packaging - I cannot be bothered to use a lip brush, ever). But sachet moisturizers, cleansers, serums are quite useful for me - they take up little space, they are serviceable (I don't have particularly sensitive skin thankfully).

I'm not a big fan of skincare samples. I do like makeup samples. Love the look 💛 I don't know why I can't think of these color combinations but it reminds me of school colors. I guess I should use that for inspiration so I can think outside the box.

I love the foundation samples, because I don't have to panic when a $65 bottle of Foundation looks like Oompa Loompa clown paint on me, or worse, ghostly, and the hassle of a return. One-shot, nope it doesn't work on me, fine, try the next one. Best though, are the mascara samples, as I never go through a FS one.

I like samples, but I prefer a lotion or a perfume or even a hair conditioner. I seldomly get or use the foundation samples unless it is, like, MakeUp Forever, Dior, or Chanel.

I was really into Naruto as a teenager (I'm 30 now). It's a notable in its genre, but personally I don't think it's worth watching. It's a very long series and it takes a while to get to the interesting parts of the story. The collab palette is a disappointment for sure, it just looks like every other colourpop collab. The super shocks look fun though!

I like deluxe sized samples that I choose. If I didn’t choose it then it doesn’t matter what size it is I didn’t want it 😅 But I never select foundation samples, I’d rather go for a skin care packet because it’s easy to use it all once then throw it away.

Hi! That look is beautiful but had that palette been a better formula they would of made it so much better. Plus that yellow shimmer is in the Uhu Honey palette, the blue shimmer from Blue Moon and Play it Jewel. In other words these are not ground breaking colours because it has already been done. 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤

I've learned my face it too effing big for those foundation samples. I had some sent to me from Lisa Eldredge because I wanted to figure out a shade match and if I liked it before buying it since it's gotta be ordered and returning isn't as easy, but one bubble or whatever isn't enough foundation. I can't decide which one matches either lmfao

Okay so Naruto... it was my first anime in early high school, and I LOVED it. The characters are phenomenal, and the core storyline is great. I have a few hesitations though about recommending that someone start watching it as an adult though. The first seasons are better storyline-wise, but they are definitely a little childish and there are a LOT of filler episodes. I've been thinking about doing a re-watch, but I think I'll do some googling first to figure out which episodes or arcs to skip. Then you finally get to the second part of the show (Naruto Shippuden), and the new problem becomes that the storyline starts off amazing... then gets SUPER bloated and frustrating and drags on forEVER. Fans have been discussing fo years that the author lost focus and interest and just kept writing for the money. Bottom line: I LOVE Naruto... but do some research to see whether you want to jump into such a large commitment lol

When I use powder on my dry, very very textured, mature, very red, broken capillaries skin it looks really good in pictures but really terrible in person for some reason. It crincles and bunches up my concealer and foundation and almost creates a different texture while hiding a bit of my giant pores texture. I wish I'd feel beautiful ever. I really wish powder looked on me like it does on everyone on RU-vid

Naruto is AWESOME! (Sad the collection is boring/ predictable, even if the colors make sense.) If you get around to watching it, I'd make a few suggestions: 1) watch in Japanese w/ subtitles if you can, 2) give it time to build, at least go to the Chunin Exam episodes, (I wasn't convinced in the early episodes, but it gets very good if you stick with it), and 3) if you end up liking it, PLEASE SKIP the filler episodes, my friend tried to warn me... You'll need to look it up, but when it happens, go straight to Shippuden, haha!
