@@jasoethesentienteyeshapedg4847 I can't say I know enough about the character to give a definitive answer, but based on what I do know, she might have a good fight against Firestorm.
(As for the battle itself, I really think DB doesn't take speed into account enough: if u can move TRILLIONS of times faster than light you have pretty much ista won every battle from the start, unless you are against someone with a similar speed or someone totally invulnerable. Being THAT fast means you can land an almost infinite amount of attacks in a single instant, each one with an impact SO devastating due to the sheer speed that is not even funny)
@@TheHeyro Yeah, but I was referring mostly to their final analysis. They usually says stuff like "yeah this X character is faster than Y, but Y is stronger..."...even in situations when "faster" actually means THOUSANDS or MILLIONS time faster, like is just a mere "plus 1" to be taken into consideration., and not something that, alone, decide the entire outcome.
Shazam CAN go that fast but that doesn't mean he always does. That's him pulling out all the stops because, well, it was the Flash. He generally isn't going to push himself that far. Not least because that runs the risk of unacceptable collateral damage and possibly overstraining himself, which he would know, 'cos wisdom of Solomon.
@@GriffinPilgrim Flash at his peak* (NOT in the instance of that comic) is literally unmatchable, since he can be "as fast as...the speed itself". He can basically go at "infinite speed", even if of course there are BIG consequences. *= by "peak" meaning "the fastest he EVER shown he can actually go", the same logic used by DB to compare feats etc. Keep in mind that superhero stories are VERY inconsistent: they can show Superman grunting a bit while lifting a TIR...and then him pulling out the "200 QUINTILLIONS lift" feat out of the blue and ofc the same goes for Flash and his speed.
I think they said it was to save the animator effort by not forcing him to have a frame where they are still then queuing the "fight". I'm not an animator but I dont think that's too much work
Honestly, I don't know who would win between Wario and Dedede. Wario is extremely strong and durable in his own right, but Dedede regularily fights Kirby, aka the devil itself and murderer of Buu. Either way, this is going to be an interesting fight.
Dedede once fought 5 kirby's at once. and one kirby can crack the planet in half... so yeah, Dedede is pretty tough if he can take a punch to the beak that can make the planet go boom. also, he has a mallet... and he can fly like kirby...haven't really played any Wario games, but i'm sure he's tough too.
Thanks for the video Ris really appreciate it . It’s better to watch death battles with you rather than alone thanks for everything bro keep it up ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
To correct you dude, Captain Marvel has fought against Android 18 back in Season 4. Edit: Ok, I must say the fight was really good though it was short but hey it's got funny moments in it. But next time with Wario and Dedede, not too big of a fan of that matchup considering that both had better matchups especially the latter but as much as I want Wario to win since I like him as much as I like Yoshi, I feel like King Dedede wins this one hands down given a lot has happened since Kirby has been in the show since Triple Deluxe was the more recent game around that time and now that Planet Robobot and Star Allies came out that could add stuff that Triple D has done plus given how Dedede's DBX with Amy turned out, I feel like once Masked Dedede appears, then it's game over for Wario.
yoshirocks92 I have to disagree, I don’t think comparing Kirby is a good comparison since both have completely different abilities. And I’d argue that I like this matchup, I don’t think you really know much about Wario. He has feats in the sextillion tons since he survived an explosion that covered a continent sized radius. This explosion being once Wario defeated the Shake King in Wario land Shake it. And Masked Dedede can be compared to Wario Man since both give them a power increase. Dedede might have the speed advantage but wario’s durability is in my opinion to massive for Dedede to really do a hit and run tactic. Wario has defeated beings powerful enough to destroy castles. And Wario has dealt with robots in Wario Land Shake it’s first boss like the one Dedede has. Dedede’s jammer can level a skyscraper but I don’t think that his hammer can go past that. Like I said he doesn’t compare to Kirby.
@@Rippen_Crippen I see well regardless, Dedede's still winning and it's why I just don't like that one since I honestly would've wanted him to battle Bowser and K. Rool in a Nintendo Kings Royale but I am disappointed that it can never happen now.
@@Ris_Grestar It's cool Ris, plus it has been a while since Carol's first fight so this one was a good refresher from that one in case we forgot what Carol could do or if there was things missing from the original fight like I didn't know Carol's mom was a Kree since that wasn't in Android 18 VS Captain Marvel.
Yeah, ScrewAttack MASSIVELY undersold Kirby in the Death Battle. The li'l pink puffball takes down things that would absolutely slaughter Buu on a weekly basis. And Dedede can (very nearly) keep up with Kirby. Wario's gonna have to work really, *really* hard to keep up with Dedede.
@@GriffinPilgrim "Wario is unkillable." Same thing goes for Kirby, really. I mean, his main foe is an elementally evil, sapient. respawning *universe* capable of destruction on a level that would make Beerus look at it funny. And Kirby's constantly kicking its arse, oftentimes with Dedede's help.
@@Lycanthromancer1 This is my concern for the next fight; I think Dedede's more powerful but I don't know if he's actually capable of killing Wario or if indeed anything is.
@@DukeofGames50 It was ScrewAttack at the time. Like, if Disney renamed themselves to "Copyright Nazis," the old Snow White animated film would still be a Disney movie.
I found this one to be really underwhelming. It reminded me of Hulk vs Doomsday, where we're presented with these incredibly powerful characters but the fight is basically just a few punches and bam.
I agree. I liked the fight, but it was over way too quickly. I think they could have done so much more with it, and it's a little disappointing because I was really looking forward to this episode.
I should remind that in Mario vs. Sonic (2018), one of the footnotes brought up that Wario withstood the Shake King's dying explosion, which was calculated at about 95.8 sextillion tons of TNT. Dedede better hope he's got anything on that!
Oh, and Wario'll be the seventh star child to appear in Death Battle (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi already had appearances). So I kinda hope his rundown begins with the legend of the star children.
When Billy says "Shazam" it specifically calls down a bolt of lightning that changes him into his Superhero form or back into a kid. But the lightning itself can be interrupted in various ways, such as if it hits someone else who is standing in the way of the lightning's path. Since that is a particularly powerful bolt of lightning, he will sometimes use it as an attack, grabbing someone and letting the lightning hit them instead. Or just dodging the bolt and letting it hit someone else. This has been used against him before, such as when he was fighting Superman and Superman realized what he was doing and flipped them around so that the lightning hit Shazam and turned him back into a kid. Then all he had to do was put his hand over Billy's mouth and the fight was over. I thought it was clever that when Carol absorbed that specific magic bolt and then fired it at Shazam, it turned him back into his child form, because it IS still the same bolt that does that. Shazam is one of my favorite heroes of all time. He's the only one who might actually be a better person than Superman, because he adores and idolizes Superman to the point where he's constantly asking himself what Supes would do in any situation, and because in his head Supes ALWAYS makes the right choice, sometimes Billy will make that right choice even when Clark wouldn't. The rebooted Shazam isn't quite that good yet, but he's still awesome as well.
I would argue Wario has this as I honestly think he has his own feats that really measure his own capabilities whereas yes Dedede has faced Kirby but you can’t really compare them as both have completely different abilities.
Well, he doesn't put his foot down with full force when just walking. Same reason why Superman, Thor etc can all have human lovers without killing them with the first hug.
Well you know how you have a limited range of effort going from not even trying to pushing yourself away from something heavy that you're trying to move? I imagine these super-strength types have a MUCH wider range of effort. I remember this scene from The Flash tv show where Eddie Thawne is trying to get Barry to let his frustration out on a punching bag. Barry is at first hesitant to actually punch it, afraid that he'll expose his super-speed to Eddie but he presses him to try harder and in maybe five or six tries, with more effort each time, he starts trying just hard enough that those streaks of lightning start coming off his arm and he stops.
A few things I feel they messed up on though I am not sure if it changes anything. 1. From the panel they are showing Carol getting hit by the Phoenix Force, it appears to be from Avengers vs X-Men, where later in the story, the Phoenix Force gets split among Namor, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Colossus, and his sister. I am not sure when in the story Carol got blasted but I feel 99% sure that she wasn't attacked by the full force of the Phoenix Force since that was split up at this point, as far as I am aware. Apparently she has still survived planet destroying attacks so I guess it doesn't matter but it still seems like a bit of a lie because as far as I am aware, she didn't survive the whole power of the Phoenix Force, just a small fraction of it. 2. Billy, when he punched hard enough to make a black hole, was bigger than a buildings, so with that in mind, I imagine his newfound size probably was responsible for him creating a black hole. I am no physic expert, far from it, but I am pretty sure a giant fist moving at what I imagine is light speed, would create such a feat where as normal human sized fists wouldn't. I don't think I have heard of Superman making black holes with punches until he had the power of Doomsday, Braniac and his own Superman powers all together so I don't think Billy can casually create black holes. 3. I am pretty sure Billy doesn't scale to all the mythological figures he draws powers from but I could be wrong. Unless I am mistaken, I don't think it's ever been shown that his powers scale to the gods he gets them from, I mean hell, I recall a moment where canon Superman tried to fight Hercules, someone Billy draws power from, and couldn't, only Kingdom Come Superman, a much stronger Superman, could stand up to him and since Billy scales to canon Supes, not Kingdom Come Supes, seems like he would be weaker so I imagine his god lightning would be weaker, like less than 1/100 of the big bang or whatever they measured for Zeus. Still powerful but again, I feel like they are overestimating things. 4. I could be wrong but I don't believe the story where Billy outpaces the Flash is non canon but I could be completely wrong. I believe that story is called Justice and it seemed like its own stand alone thing. I feel like its also non canon because there is one moment in a Flash comic where he is going so fast that even Superman was frozen in place so unless Billy is massively faster than Superman, which I don't think he is because he is regularly challenged by him, I think its either a non canon feat or just a one off thing, like Deathstroke stabbing Flash because he "thinks faster" than a guy who thinks at faster than light speeds.
wario has only been in mario spin off games(mario kart, mario party, etc) so i wouldn't call him a mario character. i see ddd winning this tho. he has fought kirby afterall. also, i prefer mario over sonic....
@@CodyBeyblade9560 Eh, I think the games from both that are well respected do get the same level of positive attention. Where the difference lies is in how people view the bad games in each series. The usual complaints for bad Sonic games are that the controls are clunky and they're difficult to play, the usual complaint with bad Mario games is that they're rehashing the same ideas over and over again. Which is worse is going to fall to personal opinion. Speaking for myself when it comes to flagship titles I'm a Legend of Zelda man.
So they said that the last time captain Marvel was in a death battle it was because this battle was requested but they felt it was to one sided so they picked android 18 but with the 2 movies coming out it was at the top of the request again and they felt that they needed to do it
To answer your question, yes Shazam can generate lightning and electrical energy on his own, but for a really powerful bolt, he needs to call out the name. It’s magical lightning too because it hurt Superman pretty badly after repeated bolts.
Quick explanation, he doesn't have to say shazam to summon lightning but when he does the lightning conjured is much more powerful since the blast is literally all of his power moving in or out of him, if he uses someone to block that, it's kinda like an ultimate finisher that against most would mean the end of the fight.
this episode had some flaws in my opinion, like that whole feat of Shazam being faster than Flash and Supes is from a noncanon comic, but he still can keep up with Supes and does totally win this fight so sure To clear up some questions you asked, yes Shazam can use lightning powers without saying his name, the Lightning he calls from saying his name is just like, His Most Powerful Lightning attack. also about the black hole punch destroying the earth, it wouldnt, like this is something often seen called Area of Effect. Like you can punch with the equivalent force of something that could break the planet, but it is only effecting a small area, the planet will be fine
I figured that comic was non canon but I wasn't sure where I could find evidence of it. He is still way faster than Carol but a lot of these feats really seemed like they were overestimating or downright ignoring the context of the story to make it seem more impressive.
Well I mean it’s probably a complete shit black hole but I mean it did wear a black hole does and it’s dark and you claim to be a black hole so eh...? Also I’m pretty sure flash wasn’t going all out while Shazam was Because in one of the panels he had to say his name to stop flashing running . Those things are kind of values to be brought up against Captain Marvel
Edward Kelly With that Logic Death Battle is not allowed to use Superman lifting 200 Quintillion Tons as a feat. Because All Star Superman isn't Canon. Even though it's been unanimously accepted in the community that it doesn't contradict with his Character or his past or present feats he has done before. Especially when later he would lift the ACTUAL weight of the Earth for 5 days straight. Also with that Logic SSJ4 shouldn't have been allowed and Goku should have gotten bodied in his SSJ 3 form in DB season 1. With that logic they should have used only New 52/Rebirth Shazam instead of Post-Crisis because that's more accurate like they did with Wonder Woman(kinda that Thor episode still pisses me off). Nerfing Billy Very hard and possibly handing Carol an undeserved Win. Shazam may have gone over 133 trillion times faster than light in their analysis. Well Flash has gone in the Tredecillions times faster than light at his fastest. We know Billy is not Faster than Flash. Death Battle uses Composite Characters in order to have them at their best and not to piss off any fans. You can find out more about how they do this if you tube into their Podcast #DeathBattleCast Good Day. (• ε •)
Also I thought it was a really good touch when Captain Marvel absorbed the lightning and threw it back at Shazam that it transformed hi. Back into a kid. Nice touch by the fight script writer
Marvel has a few Superman-Esque characters in their roster but Shazam isn't one of them, hell he wasn't even DCs at first. For Marvel Superman like characters you have... Sentry: I believe the original point of him was to be Superman like before they made him drastically different. He has a lot of the same powers, super speed, strength, toughness, flight, laser vision, and he has an S symbol on his costume as well as a cape. Where they differ is Sentry is a human, not an alien. He got his powers from, I believe, a very powerful version of the Super Soldier Serum that basically moved his molecules out of sync of time or some bullcrap, making him immensely powerful. He's also schizophrenic, his biggest enemy, the Void, is just an alternate personality of his that his powers made into a physical being so he has a few issues. Gladiator: This guy is based off of the Legion of Super Heroes version of Superman, when he was Superboy. His real name is even a mixture of Supes' human and alien names, Kallark. He has basically the same powers however, instead of drawing power from the sun, his powers come from his confidence. Basically, if he's confident, he will be at the peak of his powers and be pretty op, to the point where he can fight with the likes of Thor (who in Avengers vs Justice League, could fight with Superman) but if his confidence wavers, he weakens and thus can be easier to take down. Also, unlike Supes, he wasn't raised on Earth and infact as far as I am aware, isn't an orphan. He's just an elite guard to an alien queen in the Marvel Universe, so he is only similar in powers and names. Blue Marvel: He was created specifically because his creator wanted to have a black character that was as strong as Superman (I guess he forgot that Icon existed). His only connection to Supes is that he was meant to be on his power level, otherwise besides the usual super strength, speed, flight, his major powers come from Anti-Matter manipulation so he's about the least similar to Superman, only really sharing the generic powers and being inspired by Supes to an extent, he's a human scientist who got powers in a science accident as far as I am aware. Hyperion: This guy pretty much is Marvel's Superman because he practically has the same origin with a few alterations to make it not a complete copy. Basically Hyperion and his super team, the Squadron Supreme, was meant to emulate the Justice League, essentially so Marvel could have the Avengers fight the Justice League, without having to go through all the copyright and legal stuff to get a full fledged crossover. Hyperion, to my knowledge, has pretty much the exact same power set, I think he is even powered by the sun and has a glowing rock as a weakness, so he is probably the closest to Superman that Marvel has, which was kind of the point. Sungod: This is a short lived character that showed up in I think an Avengers comic where the Illuminati, a Marvel group formed of the greatest minds and strongest heroes (Mr. Fantastic, Iron Man, Black Bolt, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Namor) to combat the biggest issues in the universe. During one point in time, the multiverse was collapsing with universes literally smashing into each other and destroying each other (via the Earth of one universe slowly moving towards the Earth of another). The Illuminati, in an attempt to try and stop their universe and another from destroying each other, attempted to ask a group of heroes from the other universe how they prevented this before (they survived such an event before meeting the Illuminati). This team was essentially made up of Justice League like characters as well with Sungod being Superman. As far as I am aware, they didn't really give him a backstory (he was killed off in this story) but he was pretty much suppose to be Superman. Those are all the Marvel Supermen I am aware of.
Capone Ardelean Emma Frost, cyclops, colossus, Rachel Summers, Professor X, Captain Marvel, Namor, Hope Summers and Magik all have the Phoenix Force at some point
@@2kplayerboi723 But to catch up to someone you need to be going faster then them. Btw I know at his best Barry is faster. But still that's an impressive feat.
@@GriffinPilgrim I mean, I'm 5'9", and when I was a softball pitcher with a 4-pack, I weighed 160lbs. @@GriffinPilgrim That's a fair point. I guess my biggest thing is that she barely weighs more than an average 15-year old boy even though she's half a foot taller than him lol
I figure there's pretty much always gonna be the issue with superheroes and weight 'cause for them to do the things they can do, their muscles would have to be gigantic (or super dense)*, right? But that's almost never gonna be accurately reflected. *unless their strength is through magical or other such means
