I want a proper Old World launch, all new, all factions. I want my weird Empire army back on the table. I used Brettonian archers as the core of my Sylvania army (to show that they were poor) supported by helblasters and great cannons, led by a wizard and general (cause they were rich)
@@knightofthetabletop I'll settle for having stuff that looks good again. A lot of the Empire stuff was monopose, and ugly. That's why I used brettonian archers, the empire ones were terrible
rumours are that the starter sets may be £170.00... but considering the Tomb King Starter Set contains 88% of 2 battalions (which were £50.00 each), plus a bone dragon, 2 characters, 20 dice, 1 scatter die, 3 templates and hardback core rulebook and reference sheets.... if they are £170.00 that is pretty good value

i'd buy one of these boxes, but i have no interest in either faction. too bad! they could have had my money on day 1 - instead im considering just 3d printing an army to get into it right away
I'm very excited for Old World. However, I think price is what is going to make or break this game. They need to sell models to justify supporting the game, but you run into the issue of many old Fantasy players already having armies and AoS and 40K players not wanting to start dumping money/time into a whole new expensive game system. So from the get-go they will have a more difficult time selling models. If they price it well, it could do well I think as a lower price point could draw people in who otherwise would have purchased another faction in their currently preferred game system.
I can’t understand why people are getting upset. Bunch of whiny babies give me 10 books for my army. Why would you want less stuff for something you love?
Personally I am going to wait a bit with buying models. Firstly as I want one of the other fractions, chaos warriors, orcs&goblins or possibly dwarfs, and secondly I hope to detect if some other people around my location starts playing Warhammer the old world. I am not as much concerned of the price of the starter boxes (I expect set to come for the other main fractions), but more if I will have opponents to play against or not.
