Matt Damon (Will) and Ben Affleck (Chuckie) won the Oscar for Best Screenplay, and Robin Williams (Sean) won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. When Robin Williams died, the park bench by the lake where Sena confronted Will became a center of pilgrimage for people to place flowers, notes, and cards to Robin expressing their sorrow at his passing, and gratitude for his incredible performances in film and as a stand-up comedian. He was one of my personal heroes as a kid since I saw him on TV as Mork and throughout his whole career. Must-see films by Robin: Dead Poets Society, Good Morning Vietnam, The Birdcage, Hook, Awakenings, Patch Adams, The Fisher King, Mrs. Doubtfire, The World According To Garp, and Disney's Aladdin (the original animated film where he voiced The Genie).

Welcome back Samardeep 🙌! Fantastic reaction 😄! Robin Williams was and will always be a legend (RIP to him 🙏). I remember the family watching this at the cinema and when we walked out, everyone was just mesmerised at this masterclass of a movie. This was actually the first DVD my dad bought for his collection of classics 😄.

Matt Damon goes back every year, on his bday or Robin's bday, to that park bench! All Robin's movies are great, y'all should watch them. Specially Good morning Vietnam, Mrs doubtfire , the bird cage, Awakenings, Dead Poet's Society. It's hard to believe, Matt and Ben wrote this movie when they were kids, and got Robin and Stellen to play in the cast, then won a bunch of Oscars!!

The professor said it took 2 years from them to "prove" not "solve", meaning it took 2 years to prove that the particular set of solutions were the *only* solutions and no solution outside that set existed. Solving was the easier part, which Matt Damon could also do, proving was the hard part that took time and rigor.

This movie is very local culture (Irish/Italian) ... Boston is split working class (HS dropout) vs middle class (college educated). Robin Williams' other serious drama is "Dead Poet Society". I know a little but from a different region ... my father was a HS dropout to join the Navy, and I was the first in my family to go to college. My father was still conscious of class differences. When you meet the right girl, math isn't so important anymore, you have to give up all that might have been, just to be with her.

Actually the more famous one is Ben Affleck since he married first Jennifer Garner(13 Going on 30) then later mega star Jennifer Lopez and has more Oscars than Matt Damon. The late Robin Williams who committed suicide due to depression won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. He was fun in Mrs. Doubtfire, Patch Adams, and Good Morning Vietnam. Ben Affleck's brother Casey the shotgun kid Morgan later won an Oscar for Best Actor for Manchester by the Sea.

Still hurt thinking about Robin Williams he had so much range from comdy drama and thriller. Robin Williams was in many great film and Tv series ( Mork n Mindy) the Genie (jinn) in Aladin, a Nanny in mrs doubtfire, a Radio Dj in good morning Vietnam and a psycho in 1 hour photo and the night listener.

I have a masters degree in maths and it made me happy when he said if a person is a mathematician he is already a genius.
