I love the idea that there's a moon that exists purely to kill you. It could have all the scrap in the world, but no quota is worth being ganked by a horde of flying screaming baby robots that shoot an endless stream of missiles at you.
The Old Birds are such a horrifying concept of a creature to me. Essentially, if you haven't read the lore, they're massive decrepit war machines that were just left to rot after the war moved on, they were basically made to assault your senses just as much as possible, which is why they constantly emit the baby crying and cartoon "whoo boy!" sound, same for the bright spotlight, earthshaking stomps, and the fact that they (seemingly) run on diesel. These things are horrifying weapons of war - and yea, the toy robots are BASED ON THESE THINGS, which is just f••king horrible. Might as well make a torture coloring book, or an M1 Flamethrower water gun or Agent Orange scented slime
