In Part 1 of Episode 3 of The Team Ignition Show, professional skateboarder Leticia Bufoni meets marine biologist Ocean Ramsey on the island of O'ahu, Hawaii, for an immersive shark encounter. During a three-mile boat journey offshore, Ocean introduces Leticia to the basics of freediving, teaching her techniques to slow her heart rate and remain calm before entering the water. Their first dive takes place in deep waters above a reef, where Sandbar and Galapagos sharks have been sighted. Despite her nerves, Leticia takes the plunge and experiences her first shark dive.
After spending some time in the water, they return to the boat for a debrief. Ocean then receives news via VHF radio of Tiger sharks in the area, prompting the crew to head to another dive location. Upon entering the water again, they encounter four large Tiger sharks, and Leticia, having gained confidence, remains composed. Together, they swim with the sharks, observing their movements while Ocean concludes her research.

Ocean Ramsey is a freediver and ocean conservationist. With a background studying animal behaviour, she's one of the few people on the planet who works outside a shark cage. Ocean runs a dive and research center on the island of O'ahu in Hawaii, where she studies a variety of shark species to gain a deeper understanding of their patterns of behaviour, with an aim to change the way sharks are treated.
