My deck is a version of this however I had the mouldervane enchant out with ashnods altar I put my commander in play sacd a mite to equip boots for haste and cast another card then I drew 2 cards and still had mana on board to cast nim death mantle and go infinite if needed but I was able to draw into other cards I put in phyrexian altar for color mana when needed and dropped haste creatures with toxic and proliferated to end game. This deck just sorta works 💪
I got this deck last night and one of the bundle boxes, I am definitely going to be making this one. I even got an alt art Elesh Norn, mother of machines.
I like the idea of Indrik in the deck but the aura would just be destroyed whenever you blink your commander and it looks like a decent chunk of the deck is aimed at doing that
I'm thinking of an infect/toxic/mutate deck to permanently buff up the little infect creatures and get some extra effects like flying, menace, and trample.
@@decktechsfordecks She could be. My main way of buffing up my creatures though would definitely be the mutate. Slap a mutate creature with trample on top of an infect creature and now it went from a 1/1 to a 4/4 with trample, infect, and an additional mutate affect. It would be a way to get the toxic/infect through while permanently keeping the higher attack power. Not to mention you can stack the mutate effects if you put in enough mutate creatures. I gotta see what I can do once the deck comes out, but that's definitely the direction I'm heading.
@@decktechsfordecks I would definitely do Atraxa if I could afford it, but I feel like she's just too many colors for me to have enough consistency without spending a fortune on things like shock lands or things to change up the colors of my lands, as good as Atraxa is. Plus, I'll be grabbing the precon so I might as well see what I can do with that and some mutate creatures that I have from another unused deck. I'll definitely keep Atraxa in mind though if I want to add some more onto the deck later.
They’ve added a lot of new lands that help a ton with color fixing throw in the new cappena fetches, with the tri lands, finish it off with the slow fetches and the lands that come in untapped if you control two basics and you have yourself a pretty consistent mana base. But affording atrexa herself is another story lol 😂
I imagine that there are many playgroups having the same rule 0 discussion about if a player decides to play Toxic, they cant complain about the mugging theyre asking for.
@@decktechsfordecks my playgroup had this discussion already. Whoever plays it has the responsibility to either tune it so they can take a beating like its a game of archenemy or dont play it at all. Sounds hostile, but we're all in agreement toxic only sounds fun if we all have a way to deal with poison.
That seems fair I will say it does feel slightly weaker then infect sense it doesn’t scale with damage but all the proliferate cards they added makes it feel worse lmao
I’m not sure what your budget is but if you wanna cut like 10 cards we can knock 200 bucks off easily while still having relatively the same deck both elesh norns, mondrak, frost fang, agadeems awakening, Yawgmoth, sword of truth and justice, contagion engine, and the great henge that should knock off 250 I hope this helps 😁 All of those proliferation cards sky rocketed in price o had no idea the impact this set had on them!
I do believe so because of the wording “you may look at and cast these cards for as long as they remain exiled” the wording is almost exactly like gonti lord of luxury and that’s how he works :)
@@decktechsfordecks understandable. I think being able to apply poison out of combat is big, especially if your opponents are focusing you. Also in green I wouldn’t be as worried about land but we all have those games.
That’s true I mostly stick to 37 because that makes your average lands per hand 2.60 so usually you’ll only have to mulligan once if any to have a 3 land starter
Nim deathmantle and ashnod alone with the commander itself goes infinite with just tokens, which is great in of itself. I would say add like a blood artist in there tbh. It would make it so much more effective. Mainly for the reason you’re going to be blinking your commander a bunch or reanimate her to get her etbs. Reasoning for this is so you can keep swinging out with the tokens. When they die, you just get value off it. But adding in blood artist or cards of similar effect will make it really efficient with the that combo because you are killing your opponents with just that. Now, if that doesn’t work, you will instead have infinite tokens on the field. A spell I like to run in white decks especially is a silence or mandate of piece. This enables me to combo off with nobody able to do a thing. Granted, you won’t run into anyone who will counter the equip ability of nim deathmantle, but in the instance of removal spells for the equipment, I would put something in there since you aren’t in blue. It just allows you to combo off or make someone waste a counterspell.
It's Amazing how all the good (recent) value cards of the deck almost Comes all from green color in the abzan deck. I Guess it's all about choices, he could have put some lifegain and some draw on death cards but still less efficient than green.
