I find there are two types of vacations: one where you get up early, run all day to see and do things and then come home needing a vacation from the vacation; and second where you just relax and enjoy the sun, sea and air. As I get older I appreciate the second option 😂

How about a nice cruise up to Alaska from Vancouver? Go zip lining, grisly bear watch in Denali national park, walk on glaciers. That is the kind of thing 30 - 40's do. September is good time for that.

I went on a week long Rhine cruise from Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam. PROS: they dock right in town & within walking distance, shore excursions included, free Wi-Fi, beer & wine included CONS one restaurant on board, smaller cabins, only about 300 people so you can’t really disappear, limited entertainment, older clientele-I was 60 years old & I was one of the younger people on board. It wasn’t my cup of tea.
