Hey Guys! Octane Restorations back here with another Motorcycle restoration! Today we have a 1988 Goldwing GL1500 in the shop that has been sitting for over a decade. This is actually a motorcycle I bought for myself and plan on riding after I get it running! Today's video is the eleventh step in that process, cleaning the clutch master cylinder. I've enjoyed watching your videos on the restoration. I have a 94 GL1500 I have owned for many years and it has been a great bike. I've tried to do most of the maintenance myself but have had to take it to the local dealer for a few repairs that were more complicated than I can handle. That being said it's getting harder to find mechanics that will work on the older Goldwings and my 2000 Valkyrie Interstate. Looking forward to future videos.🤠

A friend of mine had a similar issue and it turned out his kill switch was faulty, once cleaned it fired up. Looking forward to your starter video. 👍

The ohm meter is my favorite way to check fuses.

It is a very quick way to do it! A Little easier too!

Been watching your own and high mileage rider gl1500 restorations, with a view to buying one and knowing what problems to look for. Sat on one yesterday and realised they are not for me. I'm the same height as Shaq Oneil and at the age where I have some hip joint problems. I couldn't lift my leg to put my foot on the peg. That's the end of that little dream. I've loved watching your videos, very informative, and the dogs are so funny ! I'll just have to stick to the bike I have; no gl1500.

@@octanerestorations Celia was my late wife's name, I'm Daryl LoL. Since making my last comment I think what would maybe help would be to remove the passenger boards, and fit pegs, away from the rider pegs ? I haven't completely given up !

@@celiaketley5496 I personally have highway "pegs" (More like little foot boards) that attach to the engine guard and that allows for me to stretch out a little! It definitely makes the hour long commute a little more comfortable!
