That's no neutral safety switch it's on the right side of the bike little brass piece with one wire that's a little switch where I go through the left side somewhere where he's got disengages in neutral safety switch so you can put it in reverse to let the starter do it if you got to do but these guys have to get their facts right before they put everything out okay it's no good what they're talking about that being a switch
just removed the carb and found the coolant lines to be a real pain bc i may have dropped the hose clamp in the intake. Purchased a borescope and small flexible magnet to go hunting.
Greate vid! What type of color (color code) is this? I am looking for a color called 28V Marble Italian Red for a Suzuki. This one looks very similar. Can't find that color code in a regular paint store.

@@octanerestorations it says in manual "using lower octane will result in decreased engine performance" .. Under "Refueling and Fuel Guidelines" page 12 2024 Honda Ruckus manual

Had a Honda Elite 80 back in the day. Along with a Harley Sporster and Harly Heritage Softail Classic. Loved riding them all! My younger brother took the Honda to the University of Illinois. Said it was perfect for him and his roommies to use on campus. Wish I still had them all😊.
1975 Yamaha RD60 had one identical was my very first bike got it in the summer of 1978 I was 10 yrs old its great to see this one being restored and repainted absolutely beautiful!

Hi I got one of these this week. The gear shift seems stuck and when I kick start, I see the wheel move - so it’s not in neutral. Why the gear shift is stuck? Where should I start to fix it?
used for $1500? yah right! these things hold they value and i can't find one under $2000 that isn't beaten to death! absolutely the vanguard for honda reliability and what honda cut its teeth on as a company.
For a non running one you can consistently get them here in Texas for about $1200! Atleast here in a college town. Sorry the market is crazy where you're at!
Rebuilding rather than replacing the starter motor and alternator gets my respect. There are a lot of 1500's in this non running state since it is a complicated and precise machine with a few one way only processes. I am a clean as I go guy. I suspect you did this without much internet help since your path was a bit longer than it could have been. It sounds and looks great---good job!
I put a new neutral light switch on my GL1500 Goldwing and I still ain't got no light on the dash the bulb is not blowed or anything it's getting used to the dash at where is the thing for the reverse light comes on
Well restored anything is like taking everything apart completely clean organized part for part painting what is supost to paint same colour and then put together that I resteroration thanks
On my channel there is another GL1500 restoration, where I had to do a lot more including fixing no compression! I also completely polished and ceramic coated it, you might like that restoration better!
