Ever tried royal jelly instead of a multi-vitamin? It's some amazing stuff especially if you need energy. If a 500mg don't do it for you they make them up to 2000mg. Try it if you are not allergic to bees! Thanks for the vid mate! Also cayenne pepper pills( I use swanson super cayenne) are amazing for arthritis and inflammation, so it helps stop the oofs and eeks of getting out of a car...

“Your farts… will smell like someone ELSE’S farts…” Admittedly, I feel this sentiment more than I’d like to. Protein powder is amazing but is it worth the price our family pays for it …? Theoretical question, naturally, I’ll drink as much as I need to but my poor son has more to endure. This was the video we needed. We all like to hear what’s actually working for someone and yes, it does motivate someone to make differences when they’re on the fence already. I had forgotten to get my regular group of beers from the grocery store and I’ve been wondering how much I’d miss it, if I just didn’t pick any up for a little while to see if I noticed a physical difference. I drink half a beer at the end of the night, to try to force myself into being more tired and I can do without it. I’ve also been meaning to get outside to take walks more, and I haven’t been. This is a weird habit where I start going every day or none at all and it’s never in between. I need to get out as much as possible as it’s a natural reset for my mind and for my body. Thanks Pete.

Similar age with a similar journey. Been watching your channel for years, good job with all the change! You can tell! Almost beat for beat. Exercise, diet, alcohol, all of it. Down to 195 from 320 at 6 ft 2 (lbs and ft for me) Started mountain biking, it’s been a blast. Give it a look, it may be down your alley! No more leg days with built in cardio! But dude, beat for beat. Same observations about mid 50s folks. It’s wild. Good job, shits hard!

Greetings from Boston, MA, USA. Nice video. Very relatable. You’re a real credit to this “community”. I’m disabled, so getting around is difficult. The internet provides me with the opportunity to look around the world which is great, but it could be awful. It’s opened up the hobby of woodworking that’s greatly enhanced my quality of life. Plus, I get to play with knives and sharpening which you’ve played a large role in. I wanted to thank you for that, your wife too. The knife sharpening series with her was hilarious and instructive. My wife humors me too. That’s why we love them, eh? I wish you all the best and continued success at whatever you do.

“RPG stats” is a nice way to think of aging. Congenital defects plus rugby, combat sports, LE work, 15 years of Jack3d/NOXplode-fueled gym work, major surgeries, permanent prescriptions… The quest is gonna get reaaaaal interesting after 40.

I have found this vid inspiring. Im on a bit of a course of change myself lately. I quit drinking (and all illicit drugs) about 8 years ago and found myself totally unequipped for my life. I havent quite made it where you are yet Pete, but I have a real confidence that I can achieve something close. Some of the things you're doing I've been doing and not even realized. Namely the 8-hour diet, sobriety, and avoiding the Doom scroll. Haven't been on Facebook in years except to check private messages, I can go weeks without scrolling Instagram, and I find myself less and less on RU-vid these days except to watch a few of my favorite channels when they post new vids (especially Cedric and Ada). I'd like to mention that Reddit has been a good alternative for me. Not that I consider myself the chronically online sort, but I have found it easier to digest smaller amounts of Reddit throughout the day rather than the doomscroll of Insta, FB, tictok, etc.

Incredibly solid advice here, and delivered in very simple/understandable way! This is a really great video and I believe very much needed..... Health/Fitness is something that a lot of people don't talk or think about, but with so much of the knife world being about self reliance or reliability, it should be considered a cornerstone.

A lot of shampoos contain things like sulphates and phalates that are very bad for your hair and scalp. They can cause your scalp to become irritated and dry or very oily depending on how you respond. I myself used to have an issue of my hair thing very rapidly in the front until I changed my shampoo. Most of what I lost returned and I don't seem to losing hair anymore. At least not at a rate that's noticeable. If you want to know what shampoo I use it's renpure. They claim to be free of a lot of the bad things other shampoos tend to have. This may not help your situation but you might look into it. I also use their body wash. Note that I have seen that they're high in protein if that's a problem for you. Edit: Also avoid eating/drinking out of plastic containers, dishes and cookware as much as possible. Especially if it gets heated or exposed to acidic food, as this exponentially increases exposure to harmful compounds and microplastics into our bodies that bind to hormone receptors, decreasing response to natural hormones and have an estrogenic effect in body tissues. That Teflon pan you used for example would be a huge source of microplastic exposure. Good things to use for food. Glassware, Ceramics, and/or Steel (stainless or otherwise). I've also read that silicone is safe to use, so your rubber spatulas and spoons should be fine. One last thing to point out. It's almost impossible to cut out direct plastic exposure in all food products and dishware but the most important are what you cook in and what you eat off of.

@@tacticalcenter8658 That's why baths are better. At least with a bath you are not atomizing the chlorine and floride in the water and breathing it in while in a small enclosed space. I have a theory that this is one of the causes of high blood pressure. 90%+ of the people with high blood pressure take showers in non-(properly)filtered water.

Too many reps and sets buddy. Try HIT workouts it will save you a lot of time. Go in for 2 sets of 8 reps for each workout. Don’t rest in between sets and no more than 45 mins or an hour at most

Definitely worth a try. I did HIIT training most of my younger life but never got much/many gains from it. In my more recent exercise journey I've switched it up and found something that works a lot better for me. Best to keep things fresh and I'd highly recommend the HIT style training for anyone who hasn't done it or doesn't think they have the time to work out. Circuit training, super sets, all kinds of tricks to get things done in a short time.
