Jacques was indeed the guy from the bar that got killed in episode 1, we first saw him listening to Maria in the woods giving her speech about the revolution.
I think the difference between Edouard and the Fly Eyes type of creature is that Fly Eyes remembers the SOUL he was when he was alive i.e. the soul from hell was placed in whatever body, but it was the soul that Fly Eyes "really" is, you know? Edouard remembers who HE was, like the body, the person. So he kept his soul, it wasn't replaced with one from hell. I wonder if there's something wrong with the Abbot's machine? Like, he's not making real night creatures, he's just warping dead bodies. Like, the soul isn't actually being supplied from hell, maybe? I mean, demons double cross, right? ETA: Also, we don't actually know that Olrox turned his partner unwillingly. That was Mizrak's assumption, and Olly was too proud to correct him. "I was in love with him" is all he actually says. Mizrak parsed that as an admission, but was it?
Thank you for mentioning the nuance about Olrox and his former lover. Many seem to skirt over the fact that Mizrak has constantly judged and made assumptions whenever Olrox told him things. He assumes Olrox did it forcefully because in his eyes, Olrox is a vampire, vampires are an affront to god's design and therefore evil, hence, Olrox MUST'VE done it.
I saw some flack being thrown a Richter this season, as he just doesn't carry the weight Trevor did. I think that is the point of this season. Richter is coming into his strength, in this episode he only taps into his potential and it instantly elevates him. Now, he has the potential to be the successor to Sypha and Trevor, and I cannot WAIT to see how great he becomes.
No but seriously, I am so tired of people comparing Trevor at the end of his arc to Richter at the beginning of his Season 1 Trevor got taken down by a nut shot ffs, let the kid level up a bit
Yeah, people forget that Trevor was an adult that had been trained to completion and he was living on his own as a vagabond for years. Richter’s just a kid growing into his better self
@@LazzyVamples Speak for yourself Richter is easily the heart of the series. Even the original Castlevania was never about Trevor completely they are all very much ensemble shows. Richter finally tapping into his potential again is a site to see.
I never took Erzebet's statement about being the daughter of Amun-Ra as literal. I think at best she THINKS she is Sekhmet, but it always struck me as delusions of grandure
Annette's scene in the Wakanda spirt world and Richter going Super Saiyan were both fantastic. Love Edouard reaching out to the other Night Creatures, and Olrox is always riveting in every one of his scenes. Great series, cannot wait for the next season!
Juste Belmont when confronted with the fact that he can never win the fight vs evil gave up and lost his magic, because he could no longer see the world he wanted to create so could no longer use his will to change the world. Richter Belmont when faced with the fact he couldn't win instead remembered why he had to fight so those he loved could live and regained the ability to change the world.
the night creature guy sings a tone known as the divine frequency so i guess his singing bring them out of hell a bit since he sings literal divine music
If anyone’s curious of the family tree that never played the games The first ever living Belmont is Leon Belmont he was an orphan as a child born 1072 and he was adopted by the church and when he was chosen to be knighted at the age of 16 he chose the last name Belmont being the first ever living Belmont after Leon there’s like a 360 years time skip to Trevor Belmont who was born in 1456 Trevor‘s first game Dracula‘s curse takes place in 1476 and his second game curse of darkness takes place 1479 then there a 97 years time skip to Trevor and Syph Great grandson Christopher Belmont birth year unknown his first game and comic book takes place in 1576 and then his second game takes place in 1591 then he goes to his and lllyana son Soleil Belmont birth year 1576 Who is a side character and Bossfight in Christopher second game then it goes to his grandson at Simon Belmont Born 1669 his first game takes place in 1691 and his second game takes place in 1698 then it goes to his grandson Juste Belmont who was born in 1730 and his game takes place in 1748 then it goes to his and Lydie grandson Richter Belmont Who was born in 1773 this first game takes place in 1792 the second game season takes place in 1797 and then he’s in a radio drama that takes place in 1798 and then he gets with Annette and then there’s a lot more Belmonts after him and this is only the main line there’s tons of other offshoot branches like the Morris clan just the name one
The fly guy described it to Isaac where trying to remember their previous lives feels like trying to remember a dream. They know they had a life but it requires some really deep digging to recall the details. Plus, their will is kind of bound to their forgemasters to a degree so it's not very easy to break free.
Interesting how Juste in this episode went through the order of evil beings, or at least vampiric threats, from "Lord Ruthven", to "Dracula", *_then_* to "Olrox", and then the "worse" evils (in this case, Erzsebet Báthory). Now I don't know for sure whether or not Juste meant to imply that Olrox is a greater evil/threat than even Dracula, but it's an interesting thought. He's right about there always being more and worse evils than even Dracula though, chief among these worse and greater threats being Erzsebet Báthory, the Goddess of War.
No, I think he just used Olrox as the biggest beast because that's the one that Richter fears most. Justé was making a point and Dracula is just a name to Richter. He knows Olrox; he FEARS Olrox.
Why did Edouard go to Hell or was he just turned? (Fly eyes said why he went to Hell and Jacques might have done somethingto that girl in the woods that he was talking about..) 🤔🤔
So, the Aztech is appalled by *other* people enslaving tribes, conquering, building an empire and killing humans for their god. That's gold. At this point in the story I can't tell if Olrox is a massive hypocrite or the writers either not knowing how Aztech culture worked or didn't think these lines through (or both).
Because human sacrifices was a regular practice by them, and they were so brutal where the other Natives Tribes decided to join the Spanish to take the Aztecs down.
So Richter lost his magic when his mother died and he had noone left he cared about. Then he regained it the moment he realized he had new people he cared about. FRIENDSHIP is SYPHA MAGIC!
"People aren't talking about this, they're sleeping on this." I mean....they are talking about it lol. It got its season 2 greenlit pretty quickly. Along with people talking about it with how average the writing was to the point that the new writing had to use a pen-name.
Back when the original show was going, which is considered better, no one was talking about it. They're starting talking about this NOW, the moment they made a mistake suddenly everyone started caring about castlevania and was everywhere just for the controversy, you know what, these people just deserve to have shows they don't like if they are gonna just shit on the bad ones but never talk about the good ones.
