Thanks 👍 I’ll be doing some fine joinery projects in the near future 😄 and some garden furniture eventually is on the list. I was on channel 4’s Britains best woodworker in 2022😄
Workshop is really coming together. I'd love to know what you did to tune the dust collection on your Axminster table saw as I've got the same one, and its pretty bad.
I made sure my cabinet was clean inside, I made sure that my correlated hose was clear and then I was ready to work out where the dust was coming from, and I worked out that I get best collection when the blade gaurd is angles down so the front of it is in contact with the wood. Then I don’t get dust thrown at me during a cut. I also found that the riving knife can be lowered so it’s not higher than the blade if you grind the slit in it deeper so it can sit lower and still be fastened with 2 bolts. Alternatively you could just remove the top bolt so it sits lower but that’s a bit sketchy. Litterally just sitting the guard in the right place made the world of difference. I also found that no matter what saw your using, an edge cut where the blade is only cutting on one side will always make a mess.
