My girlfriend makes the detailed itinerary and then I go over it to make sure we are not doing too much in a day and make sure the things we do are all in the same area. haha. But I mostly just go with the flow. You should see her Japan trip folder.... yes, I said folder. 😅 Loved the intro! I am excited for this game, but it does give off a stationary vibe. which I guess is thematic for Japan.
@@ABoredGamer That sounds like some great teamwork there! I believe in the folder, as there's so much to do! We've always wanted to go and this game certainly fueled our passion even further.
really go-with-the-flow for us, always lots of “let’s go for a walk and discover something” 🤪 but I always buy a travel guidebook even though it’s old school, I love reading history and making notes in them and keeping them after as a memory of the trip. I hope there are more in this line! where do you think they would make a Let’s Go to next??
I'm a detailed itinerary person. I set up google sheet with everything I'd like to see and places I want to eat. Then I figure out where they are, how long it should take to see, and the costs and other details. Then I try and plan out days so I can relaxedly explore things in the same neighborhoods. I don't set times for anything though other than restaurant reservations.
You guys are an absolute joy to watch. Not only do you break down your overviews and the reviews very well and thoughtfully, but you have a wonderful energy and spirit that really shines through. Thank you for making these videos!
Love the intro. This game is right up my ally. I enjoy planning for a trip, i try to plan most things, just so everyone can get a ruff idea on the amount of money they will need, and then i leave room for some flow.
So excited for this! My husband and I went to Japan for our honeymoon so this just brings so many amazing memories back especially as we went to Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka (which is in the day trip expansion). I have never pledged anything so quick than this haha
Ahhhh that’s so exciting! What a nostalgic experience this must be. It definitely got us very excited to have our own trip in the next few years or so, would you have any suggestions on where we should visit specifically?
Definitely recommend going to Kiyomizudera temple in Kyoto. Beautiful temple and the views of Kyoto from here are amazing! Try to get up early and go before it gets busy as so much more relaxing.
Excellent review and synopsis of what you liked about the game. First time I saw one of your videos and I like how much detail you do into the experience of the gameplay. As far as LGTJ, It sounds super fun!
Looks nice, and very nice preview ! Will check the kickstarter ! I plan most of what need to be planned, travel between places, accommodations, food if there is somewhere specific I want to go, and then it's free around that! I am not a huge planner so it is always a bit of a challenge 😅
There's some excellent animal acting in this one! I'm looking forward to this one. Still on the fence if I want to go all-in, or just wait for retail... Have you tried any of the extra content?
Two questions. 1 - I wasn't quite sure the differences in the train tokens. I may have missed it but why did the one that said "start" get put in the middle of the board, and why did some appear to be + and some appear to be -? And 2 - what was the cat's final score?
Great question! Each player will get a free starting train token. If you are able to match three symbols to the favourable conditions you have the option to acquire an additional token, each additional token will improve your mood and score you victory points. At the end of the game you’ll be able to assign the trains to where they are needed. If you don’t assign a train you won’t score the points if you have acquire the bonus trains, putting the start train in the middle was a way to signify that. If you’re missing trains you’ll collect them from the reserve but for each missing one you’ll lose two points. Im not sure I understand the second question, can you please elaborate?
@@seanmobley2610 Oh haha, that’s actually Cassandra, she helps us play many games at a higher player count and we always sneak her into our videos where we can. I (Ilya) did end up winning in this fictional game haha
