Beehives can generate any time a sapling grows within a 2 block radius of a flower. I suspect the growth shrine has caused some flowers to grow in the space below the wood farm, or in some spaces where saplings used to be before create could replant them.
And vanilla gets Dire again. Just like vanilla endermen teleporting into his mob free zone in base to drop off dirt everywhere, even crippling one of his machines, now for the bees, ha ha.
Every time I consider making something besides an ethylene burning gas generator setup I compare how much it will make per tick…. And make the gas generator setup.
Quote from the Author of Extreme Reactor: "As you may have noticed, ER do not come with a JEI plugin that list all the moderators, fuels, coils, etc and their properties. The reason is simple: I don't want to have one. It would be no fun having the answer to 'what's work best' outside the game, instead have fun and experiment!" So you either have to experiment with each materials, or look for guides online.
@@Bobvanksy "As you may have noticed, I do not log my hours. The reason is simple: I don't want to. It would be no fun having the answer to 'how much I worked' outside my memory, instead have fun and experiment!"
iirc, the more 'expensive' a block is the better it works. So diamond > gold > iron for vanilla blocks and some modded blocks were also given values, but there was ludicrium (I think that's what it got called?) that was stupidly expensive, like a nether star was part of the recipe, and it worked really well. I imagine that might still be in, haven't checked in a long while
Extreme Reactors is a rewritten port of Big Reactors to newer versions with some minor changes. This Mod has become more popular in newer versions because it was the first one to cover the Big Reactor features. However there is a different Mod called Bigger Reactors which is the official contuinuation of the original Big Reactors . While both mods share a similar content, the original creator of Big Reactors "Erogenous Beef" also refers to Bigger Reactors as the official successor on the CurseForge Page of Big Reactors.
if you put an output pipe from the reactor going into a tinkers crafting table the blutonium will fill the slots and create a block, you can the put an output pipe from the table into the reactor filtered to only accept the blutonium blocks, this will help with fuel costs and the recycling of the fuel. redstone the pipes so its not automatic. saves expenditure. this used to work dont know if it was fixed.
Me: Why doesn't he use the tree growth spell? Dire: How can I make things grow? Me: USE THE GROW SPELL! Dire: I'm going to figure out this whole other mod.
"Render broken texture or crash the game." Shouldn't admit that made my smile and think "Your only getting condition B if you are not swallowing exceptions and drawing a dummy or snapped GL in half."
you could also just use dark oak, spruce, or jungle for the tree farm, to get wood faster. because the 2x2 growth is substantially faster. for what reason, i'm not entirely certain, i just know they seem to grow way faster. i'm assuming it's something to do with the fact that any one of the saplings in a 2x2 will trigger them all to grow and you get a lot more wood from a single tree than normal oak.
You shouldn't bonemeal the tree farm. 1) You'll get bee nests. But more importantly, 2) the bonemeal has a chance to be faster than the create deployers, and you'll end up with a tree farm full of grass and tall grass.
ForgeCraft S14 E31 was the last time I think Dire played with Extreme Reactors....not THAT long ogo. Edit He used diamond blocks for moderation back then, interesting to see what it is this time.
Afaik, placing rods in checkerboard pattern is one of the worst extreme reactor layouts. Direct contact between rods increases fuel efficiency, and direct path from the rod to the frame through moderator blocks increases heat transfer, which also increases efficiency. So better option would be placing rods in the groups of four with conductive moderators in between, or groups of eight in the ring shape with radiation moderator in between(graphite block is decent, but there is better options), and heat moderators around it.
I remember having fun with the steam turbines from Big Reactors back in 1.7.10. I could never figure out how to really scale up steam production in one reactor multi-block though, I kept having overheating problems no matter how much water I tried to add. I wonder if Extreme Reactors has made big steam reactors any easier to manage?
Dire, bees are spawning because there's a flower somewhere near your tree farm. Bee nests have a chance of spawning in a tree when an oak or birch tree grows within two blocks of a flower.
i put stone bricks around my create tree farm bearing pretty early on to stop the growth of trees in those blocks instead of moving or adding a saw, looks like you are gonna have to do this now to get rid of grass and flowers, also i think its in this pack but i used to like to use enderum blocks as the moderators in my reactors in extreme reactors, expensive but they seemed to work well, and im sure you know but you dont start making much power with ER until you go turbine at least
Are the SPS and Extreme Reactors blocks tile entities or something? Because it seems silly not to use the Building Gadget (especially for the creator of the mod himself to not use it) to build things if you can... Edit: of course I commented this too early into the video, lol
If you think that a 7x7 internal size reactor takes a lot of uranium, wait until you see a max size one. I think a default max sized reactor takes like 80000 uranium to fill (assuming around 20000 fuel rods). 🤣
Does the Create mod have an upgrade or block that can break beehives? This is a vanilla thing when bonemeal is used on saplings. Dire doesn't know vanilla!😊
what is the mod that allows you to right click to clear the jei search bar?? because in two 1.18 modpacks, you can't do it, and holy cow is it annoying. i would have assumed it was an innate ability of jei, but i guess not.
If the mob grinder at his farm doesn't one-shot the endermen they can teleport. There is a block from the same mod that prevents teleport, but he didn't make that.
the bees in your tree farm came from the vanilla mechanic of a bees nest being a random spawn when a tree grows next to a flower. nothing to do with bonemeal. it's so disheartening every time i'm reminded of just how incredibly ignorant of vanilla mechanics all these youtube "minecraft pros" are. also, at some point your tree farm is going to be nothing but grass, as the bonemeal just happens to trigger in the time between when a tree was harvested and a new sapling has not yet been planted.
Don't do BigReactors, nothing has changed since the last time you made it. Go with the Mekanism fission reactor, more than enough power and IMMENSELY satisfying to automate at higher levels. Nothing like automating millions of RF for free.
But.... He wants to play with BigReactors, and I do believe he has done the fusion reactor a series or two ago. It's about keeping it enjoyable, OP is fun, but fun is more fun
*cough* Extreme Reactors *cough* 👍 Mek reactors are great, but Dire is trying something different from his last series, which is good to see. Can always do both if needed.
@@agenuoxydin7387 He hasnt done the big laster multiblock since I dont know when, and Big Reactors is just...borking, slap big box down get power sadly.
@@cashandraven2369 I'm not sure what "big laster" is. Also, I guess the cough wasn't enough.. The mod is called Extreme Reactors, the successor to Big reactors. Both Mekanism Reactors where done in the last series! It is a good thing that Dire uses other mods and doesn't just regurgitate the same formula that works. This is why I watch him!
