This Bob Lum design is pretty neat, so lets take a look Acid Etched Knives, Pimping Services, High-Value Knives, EDC and Outdoor Gear www.lazylizardgear.com
One thing he didn't mention, because he hasn't actually carried it I suppose, is how it likes to leave your pocket. The grips are very smooth as is the clip. These along with a fairly weighty design cause the knife to depart from your pocket cuff sometimes while not in a vertical position as in sitting, reclining and so on. This is the issue I like least about the knife. I've also had scale screws, clip screws and pivot screw all come loose before. Weird huh? I like it overall and think it is a beautiful knife but I don't use it for every day carry. I have two Griptilians for that.
I own this knife for more then a year now. And this one of these knives that never leave. It's one of my favorites, maybe the favorite. You mentioned its smoothness and i can confirm this. Also compared with the 800 AFCK. Both have the same smoothiness.. But this design i love. Bob Lum has projected the "less is more" adagium perfect on this knife.
I've been carrying mine for six or seven years. This knife was exactly what I was searching for and I lost interest in knives soon after purchasing it. I wouldn't change a thing about it. Thanks for sharing your observations.
