Finally someone else notices that Rey being a palpatine doesn’t justify her being a Mary Sue. And doing things in the force in a few years which took other force users decades to learn. because the palpatine bloodline isn’t powerful like the skywalkers, anakin was conceived from the force which was passed down to Luke, leia, and eventually Ben. Palpatine is powerful because he spent decades dedicated to the dark side not because of his bloodline. So it still makes no sense lol
You rated it 2/10... Man that was generous... Id give it halft a star for the effects that actually are good. The rest. F** Off... The entire 3 part Disney Stand Alone Cluster-F**k of movies id rate about 2.5 stars where 0.5 for effects and 2 for making Rouge one that actually was worth while seeing and added content to the OT... And yes, i know Rouge One wasnt part of this shitty stand alone 3 movies. But that was also my point.

Not using Anakin at all and giving it all to Rey COMPLETELY wasted Anakins redemption arc!! Far as im concerned there IS no trilogy after ep6. The saga ended in 2005 with ep3. The moment she said " I am ALL the jedi" while facing Palps, I walked out of the theater. As if they cant give her EVEN MORE POWER THAT SHE DIDNT EARN!?!?😡😡🤬🤬
I won't fault RLM for calling the prequels bad films (because they are, objectively, very awkwardly made movies), but there is no doubt in my mind that the prequels were good "stories". They were good stories and good world-building, scripted and directed by a man who should have gotten help articulating his universe, the way he did for the OG trilogy. That being said, the Disney trilogy is dog balls. They're hollow, empty, cynical films with no story to tell. They're pretty to look at, and that's all they are. I cherish the prequels in the wake of Disney's cinematic hog vomit.
To me there objectively well made films. The cinematography is beautiful. The editing of sound and picture tells a story and the acting is very context heavy. It’s just the films are based around an old style of filmmaking that many do t care for even back in the PT days.
@@gtafans93 I don't fault the visuals or the shots. The effects hold up today, and were very impressive for the time. Sound design too (it had some of the best music in the series, OG included). But when you strip away the visual effects, and focus only on how actors are framed and directed, the prequel movies suffer. The scripting is awkward (albeit highly quotable), and the shots are rather bland, when it isn't establishing a scene. ANYTHING can be done on a computer, but the heart and soul of Star Wars is the characters... and I'll go on record as saying the acting and dialogue scenes were flat, and it brought the prequels down from "great" to "good". I don't hate them by any stretch, but I understand Lucas' limitations as an "actor's director".
@@stanley13579 thats a fair view But I disagree. the script is very 30's 40's based and Ive seen enough shows and movies from that era to see what lucas is conveying there. the shots are never bland. Theres so much depth and detail. Beauty of the world, something going on how anyone could say the shots are bland perplex me. Acting was context heavy like anakin he's an unstable emotional person and hayden plays that extremely well. now dont get me wrong some actors at times needed a bit more pizaz but you can say the same about the ST and PT. and character wise theres some great moments that work well. the 3 dont gell as well as the OT but they do a damn good job.
@@gtafans93 This Disney trilogy broke me in a way that I don't care to see anymore from Disney. The Mandalorian could be good but I can't accept it as it exist in the same universe as the dogshit sequels. If Legends canon does get continued down the road. I'll do that. Otherwise, I don't care.
@@christopherbarker1048 the mandolorian can be seen as legends contents since it gives vague enough information about the universe that co insides with legends. hell you have some legends cameos as well. NO one massive but a bounty hunter from legends here a reference there. it feels like star wars.
